Chapter 95 95: Where's The Divine Artifact?
After Iris's place finally got sorted out, everything quickly fell into place. For almost six years, no more unexpected factors showed up.
Leo still trained by himself, occasionally sparring with Iris to boost his practical combat skills. As for Michael, the initial phase lasting over a year was totally miserable for him.
Iris not only made him do stuff like cooking and cleaning but also used training exercises that pushed his body to its limits.
Besides that, she constantly picked fights with him. Fighting with Leo was mainly for training; even if he got hurt, it was nothing serious. But fighting with Michael, every single time she'd beat him to near death.
It was only a few years, but Michael felt like he'd lived through several lifetimes. The number of times he'd faced death was so high that now, if he suddenly dropped dead, he wouldn't be even a bit surprised, let alone scared.
But her training results were undeniable. Michael's ability to use energy now wasn't that far behind Leo. Compared to Iris, the gap was a bit bigger but enough for him to go hand-to-hand without losing easily.

In a dense forest, two huge figures were constantly slamming into each other. They only used their hands and feet to fight, but it made incredibly loud crashing sounds.
Michael, in his Master Chef state with six arms, used them perfectly to attack and defend at the same time.
He no longer had that look of just clapping his hands to run away like back in the day. Now both Michael's aura and actions were like a real warrior's.
The six arms continuously threw punches at Iris. The sheer density of them could rival a powerful stream of water pouring down a waterfall.
Fighting two hands against six was definitely a huge disadvantage. So Iris was forced to use her Seven-Hued Celestial Dragon Spear to keep her distance from him.
The spear tip that had stabbed him countless times before now wasn't so scary anymore. His eyes didn't even flinch when facing her lightning-fast thrusts.
His two hands instantly swung up, clamping tightly onto the spear, using it as a grip to jump up and land a kick straight into her stomach.
Iris was kicked far away and at the same time, a clap sounded. Michael appeared, blocking her path and throwing three extremely powerful punches at once.
Those strong punches dazed Iris and caused heavy damage to her body, making her spit blood.
But of course, it wasn't enough to take her down. While floating in the air, she immediately swung her spear, striking straight into Michael's stomach, slamming him hard into the ground.
Then she spun her body using momentum to launch the spear, piercing it through Michael's stomach without any mercy.
"Pant, pant, ha ha, you lose."
Even though she was out of breath, Iris laughed out loud. She could feel that Michael's progress was huge. Winning like this was more fun than beating someone who wasn't good at fighting.
Over the years, their fights were always this desperate. If it weren't for the massive amount of energy herbs helping, along with their inhumanly created peak human bodies, they'd be covered in scars by now.
The 'human' bodies of those two were also completely over the top. When healing, they always healed back to the best possible state, so even with that many injuries, their skin was still smooth—no scars.
Of course, with injuries like a lost arm or leg, they had no way to regrow them.
Only Leo was like a normal human. He trained a lot, so even though he didn't have many scars, he had plenty of calluses.
The spear stuck in Michael's body dissolved into energy, and blood flowed out along with it.
Already very used to this kind of thing, he calmly swallowed an energy herb kept in his pants to stop the bleeding.
"Hmph, it's just because you have a divine artifact. If I had a divine artifact too, then..."
Before he could finish his sentence, Iris jumped in with a disdainful voice.
"I know what that divine artifact does. Even if you used it, you'd still lose. Speaking of which, that divine artifact is pretty useless compared to other stuff."
"Huh? What do you mean?"
Michael didn't really get why she said that. According to Slaughter God, that thing's effect on him was supposed to be really good.
"It can protect your soul. But protecting your soul just means you stay alive, not that your power comes back, unless you're god-level but even then it takes a ton of time.
Besides, if a god sacrifices their own soul to kill you, even as a god you'd die. If that thing was as good as you think, Slaughter God wouldn't be dead."
Her words immediately made things click for Michael. Though he was a bit bummed it didn't protect the soul in every situation.
Suddenly thinking that Iris knew so much, she probably knew where Slaughter God's divine artifact was.
"Do you know where it is?"
"I'm not sure... My divine artifact was split into three parts, that other god's artifact too. One part I keep in my territory since I don't need it now, one part is bound to my soul, the last part is probably near the spot with Slaughter God's and Martial God's two artifacts. By that spot, I mean the old battlefield."
Iris hesitated a bit because she really didn't know. Sure, a god could sense the location of their divine artifact, but she could only feel her own. She couldn't sense other gods' artifacts.
"So where's that battlefield?"
"Based on the situation back then, it got sunk into the sea. But I'm not sure exactly where."
???
No way? Is a god's memory that bad?
"Damn it, what the hell is your brain for?"
Michael immediately cursed. How could she forget something as important as this?
"How the hell would I know? I only know where my divine artifact is. Back then, we just randomly picked a big empty piece of land. Now it's sunk, how am I supposed to remember the direction?"
Suddenly getting cursed at made Iris a bit annoyed. Aside from her territory, she never needed to remember any place because she just went wherever she felt like.
