Chapter 93 93: Michael 'Gets Out Of Bed'
Chapter 93 93: Michael 'Gets Out Of Bed'
After bringing Michael back, Leo immediately noticed a 'strange phenomenon'. Normally, if Raphael wasn't training, he'd be slacking off and drinking wine somewhere, but now he was actually being diligent, going into the forest to find wood.
The sheer amount of wood made him feel extremely confused. The Raphael in his memory wasn't the type to put a lot of effort into building a house.
But the truth really did shock him. His lazy old man father actually seriously built a house. What's more, this size was a bit too big. This was more like a mansion than a regular house.
---
The speed and strength of a contractor at the demigod level like Raphael was indeed extraordinary. He wasn't exaggerating. Although he had never built a proper house before, he was able to complete this project in two weeks.
Design-wise, the mansion had a fairly simple style but could still be considered a mansion. Compared to the village houses at the foot of the mountain, it was on a completely different level.
Of course, this didn't include the interior. He would help Iris with those things later. For now, this was more than fine.
After finishing this project, he even felt a bit proud. To do this well on his first try, his talent was probably either number one or number two.
The timing was just right for Michael to be able to get out of bed. However, he still couldn't engage in strenuous activity, only light things.
Although he couldn't move around fully yet, he chose to return to his human form. Even though the Master Chef form was stronger and had six extremely convenient arms, his human appearance was much more handsome.
His body was still wrapped in all kinds of bandages. In his current condition, it would be at least three more days before he could withstand another beating from Iris.
"Damn it, finally able to walk. I can finally go to the bathroom by myself."
Just as he stood up, Michael started cursing. This period of time was so goddamn uncomfortable for him, the pent-up frustration from holding it in for so long with no way to release it.
Being in bed was inconvenient for everything. He needed help with everything. And guess who that person was?
That's right, Iris was the one helping Michael. He was so shocked by this that he almost fainted.
Of course, she wasn't kind-hearted enough to actually help him for free. She used her actions to tease him and used her words to attack his spirit.
What's more, she didn't let him use a large amount of energy herbs right away so he could recover quickly but instead stretched out the time. When she felt he was recovering too fast, she would hit him back to a 'best state'.
This period of suffering made Michael feel for the first time that being imprisoned inside a brass oil lamp wasn't the worst punishment.
Suddenly, a small hand gently placed on Michael's shoulder made him shiver.
"You got a problem with me?"
A little girl's gentle, somewhat cute voice, but to Michael's ears, it was scarier than a bombing.
This damn voice had been clinging to him non-stop for the past two weeks. His spirit had suffered countless tortures because of it.
If he could turn back time, he would absolutely stop himself from carrying out that 'brilliant' idea.
"I have problems. A lot of problems. You even have the nerve to ask me? Haven't you looked back at what you did?"
Right now, if his body weren't so unwell, Michael really wanted to shout right in her ear.
"Ha ha ha, if you're so tough, beat me first, then you can have a problem."
Iris just laughed at Michael's indignation. You could say she was playful, but you couldn't say that the things she did weren't 'training' at all.
Michael's age was too young, and he wasn't born in a dangerous era like Leo's. He needed a lot of training, especially in his mental endurance.
Otherwise, later on, if he got captured by the enemy, before they even tortured him, he'd honestly confess already. In war, if that happened, his comrades would definitely die in large numbers.
"Hmph, sooner or later that day will come."
Michael muttered, not daring to say it loudly. Although he got beaten pretty badly, he felt like he might have gotten stronger again. Was this so-called super talent?
Being able to constantly get stronger like this, he firmly believed that even if he couldn't beat Iris, the day he could tie with her wasn't far off.
"Stop mumbling. Quick, come with me to see something."
Saying that, she grabbed Michael's hand and dragged him, running after her, outside to see the new house Raphael built for her.
"Ahhhhhhh!"
Michael let out a miserable scream, tears streaming down his face. He felt like his arm was about to leave his body.
"Oh, does it hurt that much? Hehehe, sorry, okay?"
She laughed as if it wasn't her fault, but Michael wasn't stupid. Earlier, she used an extremely strong grip, clearly on purpose.
"Let go, I can walk by myself."
Although he said that, Michael really didn't dare shake her hand off. With his experience from the times she'd broken his bones, he knew that wasn't a smart move.
"Pretty calm, huh?"
Iris smiled and let go decisively. Actually, she was quite satisfied with his reaction.
Him thinking about every small action like this could form a habit of being more careful for him. At least before he has enough strength, he should be careful, otherwise he could easily die for some stupid reason.
Michael didn't know her thoughts, but he didn't think much about it either. Anyway, in his head, she was like a violent person with an abnormal brain. Trying to predict the behavior of someone like that was truly pointless.
"Leo, come with us."
Leo, who was training, heard Iris's shout and ran over. These past few days, Raphael had been busy non-stop, so Leo hadn't had a chance to ask about this mansion thing. If Raphael really changed his ways and became a hard worker, to him that could be considered good news.
"I'm coming."
He still kept his Big Panda form and didn't go back to human form. From the day they could transform, both he and Michael spent a lot less time 'being human'.
