Chapter 64: Jean Broody vs. Bradley Jackson ~ When suppressed desires explode… Bye!

“Surrender yourself, General,” Bradley responded quietly. “You don’t have to do this.”

“Why not? I’m ready to meet my maker because at this point, death is more welcomed than disgrace. But I will die a happy man if I take your life.” The general gave a sad smile. It definitely didn’t seem as if he was threatening to take someone’s life. “So how do we do this? Fast draw or combat?”

“General we have to…” The soldier who had been shushed by the general earlier began to rasp urgently but got no further as General Grupert drew his pistol and shot him in the head. The man was obviously very angry.

“I told you to shut up.” The general growled at the dead soldier. The other soldier looked too shocked and scared to react. He looked at Bradley stiffly. Bradley couldn’t help but think the general had gone crazy. “So Jackson…” He turned his glance back on Bradley. “No matter what, both of us will be taken out of here in body bags so…let’s finish this with a fast draw.”

Bradley stifled his gasp. He was convinced that the general had legit gone insane. Fast draw was only used in military practices, usually with special blanks or wax bullets. The elderly man should know he wouldn’t be a match for him, Bradley thought. Besides, they weren’t in some American Old West movie, for goodness sake. Unless of course, the man had a plan…

“Shit…” Bradley ducked when he saw the general raising his gun. Where the fuck was Ty when he needed him, Bradley fumed. He didn’t want to kill the general.

“Drop your weapons.” Bradley heard Ty’s voice and gave a sigh of relief.

“Oh, I’ll drop more than that.” The general responded as he raised the gun to his own head.

Both Ty and Bradley aimed and fired at the same time. The general’s gun flew out of his hand as he clutched his fingers with a cry of pain. Some of the Arrowheads were there to grab the general and drag him away, together with the other soldier. Ty finally turned around to look at Bradley. He hadn’t seen him in over a month. The two friends simply stared at each other. Finally, Ty grinned.

“You got a third gunshot wound.” Ty sounded amused.

“Where?” Bradley looked down at himself but couldn’t see anything.

“Your right arm.” Ty started towards Bradley. “I’m sure it’s just a graze. Hey, get the medic.” He instructed one of the soldiers. “And get the bodies out of here ASAP.”

“Yes, Sir.” The soldier hastened to do as he’d been instructed as the other Arrowheads entered with wide grins on their faces.

“Come here, you stubborn fool,” Ty muttered as he drew Bradley into a tight embrace. “God, sometimes I’m tempted to strangle the stubbornness out of you. Do you enjoy putting me through…”

“Hey, allow us to have our turn, Ty.” Will, Bradley’s other friend, and Arrowhead protested as he pulled Bradley out of Ty’s arms and into his. “I missed you, buddy. You did good.”

“Yeah, we enjoyed the breadcrumbs you nicely left for us.” Nate, another Arrowhead said as he hugged Bradley. “It was fun rounding up all soldiers with hand wounds.” He said making all the other Arrowheads present burst into laughter.

When the medic arrived, he quickly dressed and bandaged Bradley’s wound as the other soldiers tried to clear the mess as best as possible. Ty instructed that they try to bring some sanity to the place before Jean came down.

“I’ll go wake him up and apologize whilst you guys take care of this,” Bradley said, unhooking the gun holsters on him.

“Ohhh…I don’t want to be you, buddy.” Ty chuckled and then howled with laughter when Bradley flipped him off.

Upstairs, Bradley went for the key and then went to open the door to the playroom. It was obvious that Jean was still out. Bradley crouched beside the bed and pulled Jean to him. Then he picked him up and deposited him on the edge of the bed, in a sitting position. Then Bradley just hugged him. He realized he was shaking. He’d turned off his emotions during the fight. Now that everything was over, the fear and relief came pouring over him in spades, turning him into a mess.

The thought of the danger he’d put Jean in and the intense relief that Jean was safe brought on feelings that simply overwhelmed Bradley. For a very long time, he held Jean. He needed to calm his frayed nerves before he woke Jean up because apart from the fact that he had to explain why he had to knock him out and apologize, it was time to have that talk.

“Fuck.” Bradley muttered. Here goes… “Jean, hey.” He gently massaged the areas between Jean’s neck and ears. “Open your eyes, Jean.” He murmured as he lightly gave one of Jean’s cheeks light taps. “Come on, baby. Open your eyes.” Bradley whispered even as he watched Jean’s eyes flutter open.

Cracking his eyes open slightly, Jean focused on Bradley. “What…what’s going on?” He murmured. Then stunning blue eyes opened wider when he saw the bandage on Bradley’s arm. “You’re hurt.” His voice came out in a low growl as he got to his feet and reached for Bradley’s arm.

“I’m okay.” Bradley pulled his arm back. “It’s just a scratch.”

“I need to take a look at that, Brad.” Jean frowned as he took in the tiny cut on Bradley’s shoulder. “God, are you okay?”

“You should see the other guy.” Bradley chuckled. “Hey, I said I’m fine. Everything is over. We have the bad guys. Now listen to me.” But Jean was obviously not listening.

“But how?” Jean’s pupils were huge as he stared at the bandage. “I don’t under…”

“I couldn’t have you fighting alongside me, Jean.” Bradley cupped Jean’s stubble-darkened jaw with his hands and stared into his eyes. “I needed to know you were safe. And you were being your usual stubborn self so…”

“You knocked me out,” Jean concluded quietly, connecting the dots. “How?”

“Pressure points.” Bradley’s eyes pleaded for Jean’s understanding.

“Last thing I remember was you kissing me,” Jean muttered. “That was a shitty thing to do.” He whispered. “How do you expect me to be able to concentrate during a kiss, after this?”

Bradley couldn’t suppress his snort. “As if anything can distract…”

“Let’s try it out.” Jean husked as he wrapped his arms around Bradley and buried his face in the crook of his neck.

“Jean…” Bradley knew he should push Jean away but he just couldn’t bring himself to do it. He needed to be in those arms for just a few more seconds…to savour Jean’s current sweet countenance before he destroyed it with what he was about to say.

“Your heart is racing so fast,” Jean said, his voice muffled. He raised his head and looked at Bradley’s face with a slight frown. “Are you all right?” Jean’s palms ran down the sides of Bradley’s body, causing a delicious tingle to course through the soldier.

“Yes.” Bradley shivered with reaction.

"You sure?" Jean husked an instant before his mouth came down on Bradley’s.

Bradley lifted his hands to Jean’s head with every intention of pushing Jean’s head away but his fingers rather sunk into that silky hair and stayed. And when he felt Jean’s tongue against his mouth, asking for entrance, Bradley parted his lips with a shaky moan to let him in. His body shook with pleasure as Jean’s tongue swept inside his mouth to taste, to caress, and to tease. Everything ceased to exist but the pleasure of Jean’s mouth on his. It was sweet, wet, hot, and so sensual neither man wanted to end it. They couldn’t seem to get enough of the sweet sensations their mouths gave each other. And that was how Will found them when he opened the door with the intention of informing Bradley that the bodies had been cleared so Jean could come down.

“Holy Moses.” Will gasped as he stared at his colleague and the doctor. He watched as Bradley broke off the kiss and leaned his forehead against Jean Broody’s. “Err…sorry.”
