Hold On Mr.! Your Sweetheart is a Real Queen

Chapter 825: Let’s See How You Perform

Chapter 825: Let’s See How You Perform

Robert Stephens took a shower and came out to find Charlotte Smith already asleep.

She still had a hair-drying cap on, leaning awkwardly against the headboard in an uncomfortable position, but she was sleeping soundly.

Looking at her like this, she seemed so thin, like a middle school student.

But this delicate Charlotte was already pregnant...

He walked over and softly called her a few times, and when she didn’t respond, he clicked his tongue, reached out, and gently picked her up.

Charlotte opened her eyes in a start, gazing at him in a daze, while Robert remained unaffected and said, "Go back to sleep. I’ll dry your hair for you."

Perhaps she truly was exhausted, as Charlotte relaxed at his words and nestled back into his arms, drifting back to sleep.

Seeing her like an alert little animal, Robert found it amusing. This woman was so foolish she could end up turning herself into the police when taking a taxi, yet still tried to put on airs with him.

Such arrogance that comes with affection.

After drying her hair with the blow dryer, Robert laid her back on the bed.

As expected, she slept peacefully, not waking even after all that movement. Robert sat on the bedside, looking down at her thin face, pinching it lightly—she had lost her baby fat after just one month away.

More than a month since he last saw her; clearly, he thought she was ungrateful, yet once he calmed down, he couldn’t help but want to look at her a few more times.

Full of contradictions.

Robert played with her hair while sitting by the bed, pinched her cheek again, and even lifted her nightgown, taking a few glances at her still-flat belly, thoroughly entertained.

Charlotte was deeply annoyed by his teasing, trapped in a sleep she couldn’t wake from, and let out pained hums.

Only after Robert had his fill of fun did his conscience kick in; he pulled her into his embrace, kissed her face, and held her as he fell asleep.

By the time Charlotte woke up, daylight had already filtered through.

Her sleep had been restless, her muscles sore all over. She sat up, kneading her aching shoulders, only to realize Robert wasn’t in the room.

If he wasn’t around...

The thought hadn’t even formed before the door opened, and the man glanced at her expression, squinting unfriendly eyes, "Charlotte, what are you thinking now?"

Charlotte blinked, shaking her head instinctively, "Nothing."

Robert walked in, placed the food from the buffet on the table, and said coldly, "Don’t think I don’t know what’s on your mind."

"..." But honestly, she wasn’t thinking about anything.

"Get up and eat," Robert said, organizing the food and giving her a sidelong glance.

Skinny like this, and still wants to have a baby; never seen such an irresponsible mommy.

Charlotte felt that since he returned, Robert was downright fierce, completely unable to speak nicely.

Charlotte went to the bathroom to brush her teeth and wash her face, and when she came out, she saw Robert already eating breakfast in the suite’s dining area.

He wouldn’t even wait for her to eat...

Charlotte walked in, sat across from the man, and ate steak with Robert in silence for a while before she quietly asked, "Have you decided to keep the baby?"

Robert glanced at her expression, and whatever he was thinking, he simply said slowly, "Depends on your performance."

Charlotte grew angry, staring wide-eyed at Robert, "What?"

Robert said, "If you perform well, we’ll keep it."

If she performs poorly, would they induce an abortion?

Charlotte clenched her fists, her anger rising as she said, "It’s your child too."
