Chapter 542: Hungry
Chapter 542: Hungry
Edward Stephens was able to hold back at this moment, not pressing further, and she was very grateful for that.
In a sense, he was trusting her.
Even after being "deceived" like that by her, he was still willing to believe in her unconditionally.
Edward Stephens was not a fool; in some ways, he was the smartest person she had ever met.
Such a man, even after that deception, was still willing to give her his trust.
She couldn’t describe how she felt.
The young Edward had given her warmth and companionship, while this man offered deep affection and trust.
She didn’t want to let down this deep affection.

After dinner, Edward Stephens drove her back to her apartment.
That night, the man didn’t leave her room.
The next day, Daisy Ginger was awakened from her sleep by the urgent ringing of the phone; it was already close to noon, eleven o’clock.
Still groggy, she fished out her phone from under the pillow, swiped the screen open with her eyes closed, and heard Elena Raven’s voice from the phone: "Daisy! I’m already at the magazine shoot location, where did you run off to?"
Daisy suddenly woke up, just about to sit up when a pang in her waist made her collapse back onto the bed.
The chaotic memories of last night accompanied by soreness in her waist and legs flooded into her mind.
Last night, Edward Stephens had taken her home, entered her house, and then...
She turned her head and saw Edward Stephens sleeping beside her.
His eyes were closed, sleeping deeply, a string of bright red marks extended from the white side of his neck to his ear...
She still remembered how recklessly she had entwined and bitten him last night.
...
Daisy shook her head, trying to delete the jumbled images from her mind, opened her mouth, "I..."
The sound that came out startled both Daisy and Elena.
"Daisy, what’s wrong with your voice?" Elena asked in surprise.
It was hoarse.
Daisy touched her throat, recalling last night’s events again, and her cheeks blushed a little.
"Caught a cold." She lied, "I can’t make it today, is the assistant there? Let her accompany you."
"Are you okay? Have you been too busy these days?" Elena asked worriedly.
"I’m fine, I’ll be better tomorrow, I promise." Daisy said, as she felt a scorching hot hand stick to her waist, teasing her sensitive skin lazily. She gasped in surprise, reached out and grabbed the mischievous hand, turning her head to look at the man.
He was already awake at some unknown time, lying sideways on the pillow, soft black hair falling across his fair cheek, looking at her innocently with those clear black and white eyes.
He had a well-behaved and understanding expression.
Daisy squeezed his paw warningly, hinting at him that she would chop it off if he moved again, and then said to Elena: "You focus on your work, I’ll... ah!"
She abruptly hung up the call, as he pinched around her belly, both painful and ticklish, Daisy gritted her teeth at him furiously: "Is this funny to you? Hmm?!"
He pursed his lips and laughed, looking like a child proud of his successful prank.
Daisy was truly at her wit’s end with him.
"I’m warning you, when I’m talking business, you’re not allowed to interrupt! Otherwise... ough!"
He suddenly pressed down, his heavy male body almost squeezing the breath out of her.
"!" She glared at him in anger.
He leisurely reached out, brushed away the stray hair on her cheek, and hummed softly, saying to her: "I’m hungry."
