Hold On Mr.! Your Sweetheart is a Real Queen

Chapter 537: See you tonight

Chapter 537: See you tonight

Daisy: "..."

Looking at the cheeky kid’s smug expression, Daisy found it hard to put into words.

Indeed, there’s no way to negotiate properly with this brat.

She threatened, "If you go back and tell your teacher, you’ll lose today’s noodles and toy train!"

George hugged his toy train, laying on the table, his big dark eyes wary as he looked at her. "Daisy, you’re so shameless."

"Pfft."

James laughed beside them, getting a sharp glare from Daisy, who then solemnly coughed to cover up, as he poured himself a glass of water.

Actually, it’s nothing much; just found this little guy, about the same age as Erin, completely opposite of Erin.

No wonder these two little ones clash so much; they really don’t see eye to eye.

Erin is reserved and cool, doesn’t speak much, while George is chatty and full of nonsense; who knows where Daisy found this lively treasure.

"..." George looked at Daisy’s expression, reluctantly said, "Alright then, I won’t tell the teacher you bullied me. But you have to promise me one thing."

This cheeky kid even knows how to negotiate with adults.

Daisy felt a bit itching in her palms, really wanted to grab him and spank his butt, let him experience what real "bullying" from an adult is.

Seemingly sensing the dangerous gleam in Daisy’s eyes, George sat up straight warily, squinted and looked at Daisy: "Are you thinking of hitting me again! You violent woman!"

Erin, sipping on his drink beside them, said coolly "Mommy never hits anyone."

"No, that’s wrong!" George refuted fiercely, "Her hits hurt a lot!"

Erin glanced at him, "She’s never hit me."

"..." George choked up by that, angrily looked at Daisy, "You really just bully me because I’m easy to mess with!"

Daisy corrected, "It’s because you’re asking for trouble."

The little one indeed got angry, hugged his toy train, glaring at her resentfully, full of dissatisfaction.

Two bowls of lobster noodles were served.

Daisy took out a small bowl, picked out a few noodles for Erin to cool down.

George imitated her action, holding a small bowl with his little hands, trying to scoop noodles too.

His small arms and legs couldn’t even hold the chopsticks properly, almost dropped the bowl, Daisy grabbed the bowl in time, kicked James: "What are you dazing off for?"

James looked at her speechlessly—serving your son is fine, do I have to serve someone else’s kid too?

It’s just noodles, just eat, why so fancy!

The lobster noodles were spicy, the red oil from boiled lobster shells poured over noodles, with peeled lobster meat.

Robert never let him eat such oily spicy food; George found it fresh after a few bites, but soon he was panting from the spiciness.

Daisy poured him a cup of warm water, told him to wash the noodles when eating.

By the time Erin came over, he was already full, ate a bit but couldn’t eat more, afraid of Daisy noticing he was lying; nibbling at the noodles, his cool deep black eyes observing George opposite.

George was truly hungry, ran away from Thomas, hadn’t eaten a meal, ignoring Erin’s scrutiny, kept eating, soon left only half a large bowl of lobster noodles.

This kid is really easy when eating.

Seeing Erin not eating much, Daisy picked a few pieces of lobster from Erin’s bowl and put them back for him, Erin pouted and called her: "Mommy."

"Hmm?"

Daisy lowered her head and glanced at her son.

Erin looked at her seriously, "I want more food."

"..." Daisy couldn’t help but smile, pinched his little face, "Alright."

The little guy even knows to protect his food.

Over there, George had already finished eating, hearing their conversation, hummed twice at Erin: "You’re stingy."

Erin hated him, looked up at Daisy seriously asking: "Mommy, can you send him home?"

Daisy saw the two not getting along, somehow found it amusing.

Erin had always been cool and indifferent, never caring much about dislikes and likes, it’s the first time seeing him dislike someone so much.

But probably these two won’t meet again in the future.

Daisy rubbed Erin’s little head and then told George, "George, I’ll contact your teacher. You’ve been out for a long time; your teacher will worry."

George had eaten and drank fully, rubbed his round belly cunningly glanced at Daisy, said, "You still owe me one thing."

Daisy helplessly said, "Okay. What do you want me to do?"

"Hmm..." George tilted his head thinking for a while then shook his head, "I haven’t figured out yet; I’ll find you later. You can’t cheat then!"

Later?

Daisy couldn’t help thinking, probably these two won’t meet again.

As he grows up, his name will only appear in financial news, right?

Daisy shook her head, thinking far ahead.

She smiled gently, "Let me know when you figure it out."

George nodded satisfactorily, then jumped off the chair and walked to Erin.

Erin holding Daisy’s hand, seeing him coming over, had a hint of vigilance in his eyes.

Even Daisy got nervous, fearing he’d start fighting with Erin again.

Unexpectedly, George suddenly made a face at Erin.

Erin: "!!!"

George laughed triumphantly holding his belly.

Daisy: "......"

Erin: "......"

This cheeky kid, isn’t he immature?

Daisy helplessly dialed Edward Stephens’ number, asking him to contact Robert’s people to take George away.

The man seemed to pause when he received her call: "He’s with you?"

"He ran to my office at noon; maybe he thought you were there." Daisy sighed lightly, "But, is this how your brother takes care of kids? Let his three-year-old run around the streets? What if something happens?"

Edward was silent for a moment on the phone, then calmly said to her, "I’ve contacted Thomas, he’s nearby in the city center, will come over soon."

"Okay."

"Sorry for the trouble."

"..." Daisy paused, then couldn’t help but chuckle softly, "No trouble. Are you home now? I’ll come over for dinner tonight."

After her gentle reassurance, the man’s deep voice returned to normal, "Okay. See you tonight."

Daisy breathed a sigh of relief, hung up the phone, and looked down at the cheeky kid.

The little guy knew she was talking to his dad, tilted his head, ears perked up, eavesdropping.

Daisy met his hopeful dark eyes, reached out to rub his little head, "Your dad says he’s been busy with work, he’ll visit you when he has time."

"Oh..." He wasn’t sure what he was thinking, just replied flatly, not very enthusiastic, hands in pockets, walked a few steps towards the door, aimlessly kicking small stones.
