Chapter 484: Edward, your brother is here!

Film crew.

Two o’clock in the afternoon.

After a bustling morning of work, the actors were now having a meal in the tent of the film crew.

Daisy Ginger and Elena Raven found a quiet spot to sit down.

There were fewer people in the crew, many actors had already finished their scenes and returned home; Elena’s script was thinning out, and in another half month or so, the filming would be satisfactorily wrapped up.

Daisy was planning to discuss her schedule after filming with Elena when two men suddenly sat down beside them with a swish.

"Sweet Elena, we meet again." Ryan Smith, with a head of short wine-red hair, settled next to Elena with a broad smile, seemingly unaffected by Daisy’s murderous glare, while Edward Stephens sat next to Daisy, nudging several prawns toward her.

"..." Daisy looked at the seafood in her bowl, which had almost overflowed, and couldn’t bring herself to scold him, simply saying, "I already have enough." Her bowl was already full of prawns, and Edward had added several more, nearly overwhelming her.

"Don’t you love eating them?" The man looked up at her briefly, his dark eyes reflecting her face, causing Daisy’s breath to hitch momentarily.

Daisy turned away, feeling a hint of embarrassment, coughed lightly, "You can eat them yourself, you don’t need to specially pick them for me. If I want to eat, I’ll take them myself."

"Sweet Elena," Ryan’s voice came from across, "I’ll give you my ribs, you give me your beef, let’s swap."

Daisy’s temples tensed up again, watching Ryan taking advantage of Elena in front of her, wishing she could flip his bowl over.

Edward silently continued peeling prawns for her.

Soon, a small mountain of prawn meat had piled up in her bowl. Daisy snapped back to reality and hurriedly divided half for him, "Eat it yourself!"

"Don’t you love eating them?"

"I love eating ones I’ve peeled myself!"

Over there, Ryan began flirting with Elena again, "Sweet Elena, when can you leave the crew, let’s go on a date."

Daisy immediately shot a murderous look.

The meal was busily chaotic.

After finishing eating, an hour had passed.

Daisy was planning to return to her room for some rest when Emma Magus suddenly came running from outside, lifting her skirt hurriedly.

She ignored her, only running to Edward with heavy breaths, "Edward, your brother is here!"

Her words caused everyone’s expression except Elena’s to change several times.

Emma hadn’t had much contact with Robert Stephens, since he was years older and had always been a "legendary" figure. Seeing him now, she seemed somewhat excited.

Edward furrowed his brow and said to Daisy, "Daisy, you go rest in your room first."

"..." Daisy remained silent, her face somewhat pale, for Robert’s presence, aside from hatred, invoked a fear she couldn’t put into words.

She didn’t say anything more, only reaching out with a cold hand to grab Elena’s wrist, pulling her towards the dormitory building.

"Edward," Ryan frowned, watching Edward get up to straighten his clothes, couldn’t help but say, "Why is your brother here?"

"I don’t know." He lowered his eyes, replying plainly.

He was telling the truth; nobody knew why the sickly Robert would suddenly come to Tsing City for no reason.

"..." Ryan was silent for a moment before patting Edward’s shoulder, "Take care."

Then he turned and left.

Not wanting to go with Edward and encounter Robert.

Emma looked at Ryan’s back, puzzled, and couldn’t help saying, "Brother Ryan, aren’t you going with Edward?"

Ryan waved his hand at her without turning around, Emma couldn’t see his dark expression.

*

Daisy and Elena returned to the dormitory building, Elena went to her room to practice her lines, and Daisy walked out on the balcony, looking far towards the crew’s gate.

Several black SUVs parked imposing at the entrance, surrounded by the directors. Even from upstairs, she couldn’t see who was getting out of the cars.

Until Edward walked over alone.

The crowd automatically parted, and she finally saw Robert sitting in a wheelchair.

From such a long distance, Daisy’s breathing became slightly rapid, her fingers involuntarily clenched.

It was hard to tell if there was more hatred or fear, her palms almost instantly filling with cold sweat.

Back then, he had inexplicably caused the death of Alice Lesser, simply because he wanted to give Edward something to do.

Alice’s life ended without any value.

And Abigail Perry, who was incited by him to hire a killer and commit murder, ultimately jumped to her death, now lies in a hospital room, only able to survive with the help of a respirator, becoming a living corpse.

Daisy forced herself to look away, clutching her chest, crouching slowly on the balcony, burying her face in her knees.

She couldn’t think about those things anymore; she wanted to live well. She already had Erin Ginger, if something happened to her, what would Erin do...

She forced herself to shift her attention away from Robert and the others outside, then went back to her room to lie down, taking out her phone to quietly handle unread emails.

"Thud."

"Thud."

"Thud."

...

Outside, for some unknown reason, the sound of a bouncing ball suddenly echoed.

Daisy was unable to concentrate on her work due to the noise, having to put aside her phone, get up from the bed, and open the door to look out.

"Roll roll roll."

An orange rubber ball rolled up to her feet from nearby.

Daisy bent down to pick it up, looked closely at the somewhat familiar ball, her brow furrowing slightly.

Wasn’t this the ball from that day...

"Sister, can you return my ball? It was a birthday gift from my dad."

A child’s voice sounded beside her feet, Daisy looked down, surprised, instinctively stepping back.

The little boy who resembled Edward a bit stood in front of her, reaching out to gesture for her to return his ball.

"You..." She couldn’t help asking, "How did you get here?"

"The teacher is catching up with my dad, I got bored and came out to play."

Daisy moved her lips, holding back from asking, "Who is your dad?" and bent down to return the ball to him.

The child took the ball and hugged it tightly, wearing a white T-shirt without worrying about the dirt from the ball dirtying his clothes, holding it dearly.

The child glanced at Daisy’s expression, looked up and smiled at her. To be honest, this child looked as cute and delicate as Erin, but for some reason, Daisy couldn’t muster any tenderness toward him.

She said blandly, "You should go back early, don’t wander off, the adults will worry."

The child tilted his head, "Will my dad worry?"
