His Hybrid Mate

Chapter 173

Chapter 173

After hanging up the phone, Connor asked Hari in.

"Hari, go and check where Jessica is."

  "Jessica?"

Connor said, "Take a look at today's news."

Hari turned on his phone and searched for the news. Then, he began to carry out Connor's order immediately.

In less than half an hour, he found Jessica who was strolling around in the same exhibition center.

Hari sent someone to bring Jessica to Connor.

Jessica blushed when she saw Connor at such a close distance.

  "Alpha Connor, Good afternoon."

Connor cut straight to the point without any superfluous words.

"First, remove that news immediately. Second, disappear from here immediately."

"Alpha Connor, I don't know what you are talking about."

Connor sneered. "Are you waiting for me to show you the evidence?"

"I just came for a vacation and happened to meet you, Alpha Connor."

"Is that so?" Connor said to Hari behind him, "Hari, check and see which media dares to release the news so randomly."

After that, he turned and left.

Jessica chased after him and said, "Alpha Connor, can I speak to you alone?"

  Connor glanced at Hari.

Hari turned around and said coldly, "Ms. Fisher, please stop. Alpha Connor has no time to chat with you."

"Alpha Connor, am I not comparable to Annette? Why do you insist on being with her?"

Connor stopped and turned to look at Jessica, his eyes full of sarcasm.

"How dare you compare yourself with Annette? You are not worthy." He snorted and turned to leave.

Hari let out a sigh of relief. He thought, 'In this world, only Ms. Hall can make Alpha Connor gentle.'

Jessica stood in place and clenched her fists.

She said to herself, 'Connor, even if I can't win your heart, I will definitely be with you.

I won't be defeated by that bitch Annette!'

Jessica took out her mobile phone and ordered, "Hurry up and post the news! Even if it is found out, we have to lead public opinion."

She put down her mobile phone as she watched Connor leave. Then, she turned and left.

Anyway, she had achieved her goal, so it didn't matter even if she was exposed.

In the afternoon, Annette's phone rang again.

It was a message from Roxanne.

Annette picked up the phone and took a look.

Roxanne sent her a photo. In it, Connor and Jessica were standing face to face and seemed to be talking about something.

  Annette frowned.

Without thinking too much about it, she sent a message to Roxanne. "It was Jessica who chased after Connor. Connor will handle it. Roxanne, don't let the strange news stir up your mood."

That night, all the headlines about Connor were removed.

But the comments from netizens did not stop.

Annette had long been used to it.

The next morning, as she arrived at the school and noticed others' gazes at her, she knew that the news was still in hot discussion.

Annette went to the office. Alanna was drinking water. She looked at Annette sympathetically and asked, "Annette, are you okay?"

"What?" Annette was stunned for a moment before she smiled, "You are talking about the news, right? It's okay."

Alanna said, "I think the news is fake at first glance. Alpha Connor didn't stand out and admitted it. I don't know why people like to discuss it so much."

"Alanna, it's okay. Just let them be," Annette said.

Alanna walked in front of Annette and asked, "Didn't Alpha Connor tell you anything?"

"He asked me not to worry."

Annette sat in her seat and thought, 'Will Connor come at noon?'

She spent the entire morning in torment.

At noon, she stared at her phone for a few minutes.

Sara stood up and said, "Annette, shall we go for lunch?"

Annette came back to her senses and smiled, "Okay."

She got up and went downstairs with Sara.

Before they reached the cafeteria, they saw the students flocking to the pathway in front of the playground.

Sara turned around and looked at them in confusion. "What's going on?"

  Annette also looked around curiously.

Not long after, a luxury car stopped beside her.

Looking at the car, Sara snickered and said to Annette, "It seems that I'm going to be abandoned again."

  Annette blushed.

Before she could say anything, Connor got out of the car.

He walked to Annette and nodded at Sara. "I'll take Annette away for a while."

Sara said humbly, "Alright. I wish you a happy time."

Connor wrapped his arm around Annette's waist naturally and sent her into the car.

As soon as the car door closed, Annette became anxious. "Why are you here?"

"I came to reassure you. Leonard, drive to the restaurant."

Annette took a deep breath and turned to Connor.

Connor raised his eyebrows and looked at her as well.

Annette quickly shifted her gaze away.

  Connor laughed.

Annette said in a low voice, "I am not your mate. Why should I get in your car?"

"Only your mouth refuses to admit it."

"I don't..." Just as Annette was about to retort, Connor kissed her on the lips.

Annette's face instantly flushed to her ears.

Connor raised his hand and poked her head. "What are you thinking about? I said I missed you."

Annette lowered her eyes slightly and said with a red face, "I heard it."

Connor teased. "Don't you have anything to tell me?"

Annette looked at Leonard in embarrassment.

Connor held her hand and said, "Why are you looking at Leonard? Look at me. Don't you have anything to tell me?"

"Yes, I'm hungry." Annette wanted to shake his hand away.

"Come on. I just said that I missed you. Shouldn't you say something to me?"

Seeing that Annette was still silent, Connor let go of her hand and turned to look out of the car window.

  Annette thought, 'Is he angry?'

"The news about you and Jessica caused a lot of trouble abroad. I have been sad these days."

Connor turned back and said, "So, did you miss me?"

Annette did not say a word.

Connor said, "Leonard, stop the car by the roadside. Get off and go home yourself."

  Annette looked at him.

Leonard got out of the car hurriedly.

After Leonard left, Connor pressed Annette down on the seat. He said, "Aren't you good at answering questions? I'm asking you. Did you miss me?"

  "Connor, you're too unreasonable."

Annette turned her face away awkwardly. Did anyone set up a rule that people had to express their feelings with words?

Connor pinched her cheek and kissed her affectionately on the lips.

It was not until she felt weak that he let go of her. "Are you still not going to say it? Do you want me to continue?"

"I miss you," Annette said quickly.

"I have another question," Connor said.

"Why do you have so many questions today?"

Connor pinched Annette's chin and asked gently, "When I was not by your side, did you sleep well?"

Annette looked into his eyes. He lowered his head and kissed her again.

He let go after a long time. She panted and said, "I didn't say I wouldn't answer."

"Well, you can answer me now."

Annette shook her head and said, "I didn't sleep well."

Connor smiled happily and sat up straight. "That's good. You didn't sleep well because I was not around you. You got used to my presence and could never leave me."

Annette looked at him with affection in her eyes.

She knew that it was pointless to resist him anymore.

Even though she had reminded herself thousands of times not to fall into Connor's love trap, she still failed.

It was difficult to resist a man like Connor.
