Chapter 872 - 825: Creating a God (Part 1)
Huang Yi ignored the murmurs of the students behind him and quickly made his way up the mountain.
The reason he came here was for something extremely important. He needed to meet an old friend he hadn’t seen in a long time, and this was directly tied to Yang Yuheng’s chances of defeating Miyamoto Musashi.
Soon, he arrived at the mountaintop.
After scaling the peak, he discovered that the other side of the mountain was actually a massive valley. Looking down from the summit unveiled a truly majestic sight.
In the vast valley below lay a giant. His massive body spanned almost the entire valley. If he stood up, he would rival the mountain itself in height and grandeur!
The giant’s skin gleamed golden, as though it had been plated with gold, exuding an aura of invincibility.
However, his body was embedded with various enormous transport tubes, along with several indescribable devices. Below, thousands of people were bustling about, seemingly working together to study the giant.
Looking at the giant, Huang Yi broke into a smile!
It was his Ancient Giant!
Back in the Dragon Sea, he had used the Ancient Giant to repel a large force from the Demon Clan. However, the Ancient Giant had become a hot potato, attracting the relentless attention of the Demon Clan, with countless demon experts seeking to possess it.
To protect the Dragon Sea, Huang Yi had issued an order to the Ancient Giant, directing it to charge toward the direction of the Central Continent, successfully diverting the demon experts.
Later, Huang Yi learned the follow-up developments from Ica, the Divinr Marksman and Vice Principal of the Oskan Royal Academy. True to Huang Yi’s command, the Ancient Giant had raced through the ocean toward the Central Continent, creating an enormous spectacle that caught the attention of the academy. The academy dispatched numerous experts, who drove back the Demon Clan and brought the Ancient Giant to the Oskan Royal Academy for research.
The valley had been transformed into a massive laboratory solely because of the Ancient Giant, providing a space for the academy’s mentors to study it.
The Ancient Giant held immense significance for The Second World. Another Vice Principal of the Oskan Royal Academy, Ni Feng, had not left the giant’s side since its arrival, dedicating himself to round-the-clock research.
The Ancient Giants were creatures from the Primordial Era. Natural nemeses of the Demon Clan, they could unleash highly purified Sacred Attacks and fought with fearless determination. In the Primordial Era, there had been a famous epic battle between the King of Greed and the Ancient Giant Tribe Chief, which ended inconclusively after a grueling fight.
Later, it took the combined efforts of the Seven Archdemons to finally annihilate all the Ancient Giants and wipe out their race, leading to their extinction. People of later generations could only glimpse their past glory through historical documents in libraries.
After eradicating the Ancient Giants, the Seven Archdemons refined their corpses into one of the Demon Clan’s most lethal war machines—the Giant Generals. In subsequent invasion wars, these Giant Generals were unbeatable weapons of mass destruction. Unfortunately, the Ancient Giants’ corpses were too few, making each Giant General extraordinarily precious.
When Huang Yi acquired this Giant General, it sent shockwaves through the Demon Clan. To this day, they had yet to identify who was responsible for obtaining it.
Having this Giant General in their arsenal gave the Oskan Royal Academy greater confidence in dealing with demon experts. Thousands of mentors and researchers at the academy worked together to study this Giant General, seeking new ways to counter the Demon Clan, and they had already achieved significant breakthroughs.
Huang Yi had come here specifically for these research results. Since he was the one who brought the Giant General to them and was the academy’s most highly prioritized student, he was fully entitled to these findings. With these results, Yang Yuheng would have a much better chance of defeating Miyamoto Musashi.
Under the guidance of a guard, Huang Yi quickly met the lead researcher of the Ancient Giant project—Ni Feng, one of the Vice Principals of the Oskan Royal Academy.
At that moment, Ni Feng was standing atop the Ancient Giant’s head, personally examining one of the giant’s enormous eyes. Several tubes extended from the eye, extracting a certain liquid, while more than a dozen people assisted Ni Feng nearby.
"God of Slaughter?" Ni Feng stopped what he was working on as soon as he saw Huang Yi arrive, turning to glance at him.
Ni Feng was an elderly man with graying hair, dressed in a white robe. His face was lined with wrinkles, but his sharp, piercing eyes radiated vigor and energy, rivaling that of a young man. He contrasted sharply with Ica, the Divinr Marksman, who was also a Vice Principal but much younger.
"Greetings, Vice Principal!" Huang Yi nodded and greeted him politely.
A warm smile spread across Ni Feng’s face. "God of Slaughter, Ica told me about it. This Ancient Giant is your doing. We’ve now developed several effective strategies against the Demon Clan thanks to it. The Seven Archdemons’ invasion isn’t far off; one of their avatars has even descended into this world. This time, our research will play a critical role, significantly tipping the scales in our favor. For the monumental contribution you’ve made to this world, I truly don’t know how we can thank you enough."
Huang Yi pursed his lips and got straight to the point: "Hero’s Continent is currently embroiled in a massive war. A Heaven-Sent Man from the Demon Clan has unleashed a nearly invincible super skill with demonic attributes. I’ve come here to obtain some of your research results to deal with this Heaven-Sent Man."
"Perfect timing! Our potion mentors collaborated and managed to create an S-tier potion two weeks ago. You can be the first to test it." Ni Feng agreed readily, flipping his palm to reveal a Magic Bottle containing a viscous liquid of pale gold, resembling golden glue.
Gazing at the potion, Ni Feng explained, "This is the Primordial Giant Serum. After numerous refinements and the addition of several rare medicinal ingredients, its effects are extraordinarily powerful. Once consumed, it temporarily grants you the immense defensive power of the Ancient Giant, as well as their pure Sacred Attack. This will make it much easier for you to handle demon opponents of the same level. However, the rare medicinal ingredients required for this potion are extremely scarce, making it impossible to mass-produce. We can only spare you one bottle for now. If you need more, you’ll have to wait a while."
"Excellent! Thank you!" Huang Yi accepted the potion happily. With this bottle, Yang Yuheng should have no trouble defeating Miyamoto Musashi.
"Since this potion is limited in supply, let me also give you a few more common items." Seemingly finding one potion insufficient, Ni Feng quickly fetched additional items from his storage ring. A dazzling array of objects appeared before Huang Yi.
"This is the Giant’s Pearl. Wearing it allows a small portion of your attacks to transform into Sacred Attacks."
"This is the Bell of Holiness. When shaken, it emits a sound akin to the Ancient Giant’s roar, disrupting the minds of the Demon Clan and reducing some of their attributes."
...
As Ni Feng pulled out the items, he introduced each one to Huang Yi. These were standard-issue equipment, meant for broader distribution, and while their effects weren’t as potent as the Primordial Giant Serum, they were still useful.
"Thank you, Vice Principal!" Huang Yi accepted all of the items and sincerely expressed his gratitude.
"This is the least we can do! Without you bringing us the Ancient Giant, none of this research would have been possible. The Ancient Giant’s entire body is a treasure trove, and we’ve only begun to scratch the surface of its mysteries. I believe we’ll uncover even greater discoveries in the future." Ni Feng extended his withered hand and patted Huang Yi on the shoulder.
"Time is running short. I have some other preparations to make, so I’ll take my leave now!" Huang Yi said his farewells and swiftly departed from the valley, heading to his next destination.
Next, Huang Yi arrived at Dabsny’s Class 2 to meet a newly acquainted friend—the campus basketball enthusiast, and called him out of the classroom.
The campus basketball enthusiast was an important player in the Warrior Alliance. He also had another identity: a player from the Draenei Race, holding a significant status in the Draenei Sanctuary.
"God of Slaughter! You’ve obtained those Thunder Guard Bracers, haven’t you?" After reaching a secluded spot, the campus basketball enthusiast couldn’t help but ask excitedly.
"Indeed! Thanks to the information you provided, I managed to acquire the Thunder Guard Bracers in the Desolate Demon Lands!" Huang Yi nodded.
The campus basketball enthusiast bit his lip, spinning his signature massive iron ball in his hand as he eyed Huang Yi’s arm. Muttering under his breath, he said, "I really underestimated your strength. Back then, I even tried to dissuade you from taking such a risk, but in no time, you’ve obtained those bracers. Recently, the Demon Clan in the Desolate Demon Lands erupted into chaos, killing many academy students who ventured to hunt demons there. Some mentors have launched investigations into the matter. Was that your doing?"
Huang Yi’s eyes gleamed as he said, "If you promise to help me with something, then I’ll tell you. It’s a simple matter for you, and I know you’re capable of doing it."
"Deal!" the campus basketball enthusiast replied heartily.
Only then did Huang Yi nod and admit, "Yes, it was my doing. I caused significant damage to the Demon Clan in the Desolate Demon Palace, which led to their internal chaos."
After saying this, Huang Yi immediately brought up his request. "You’ve probably heard about the fierce battle on Hero’s Continent today. Yang Yuheng has already joined my Hero Legion. You must have seen the announcement about his advancement to the Heavenly Domain Level—that happened directly on the battlefield. Our Hero Legion worked together to help him level up, ensuring he reached the Heavenly Domain Level before our enemies. Now, he faces a final opponent—Miyamoto Musashi. Miyamoto Musashi has unleashed a super skill, and only Yang Yuheng stands a chance against him. For that, we need your assistance."
