Chapter 842 - 796: Venturing Deep into Magic Land

Chapter 842 - 796: Venturing Deep into Magic Land

After forming a grudge with the Half-Beast Race back then, several guilds created by Half-Beast players on Hero’s Continent declared him their enemy, joining forces to obliterate him.

Among them was a guild called Cornucopia, whose guild leader, named Hanging Ghost, was a staunch anti-Huang Yi individual. In the end, Huang Yi destroyed the Cornucopia Guild, causing its disbandment, and even killed Hanging Ghost, forcing him into Reincarnation.

Unexpectedly, after so much time had passed, they met again on Central Continent. Fate truly is a curious thing.

The group apparently hadn’t noticed that the Huang Yi they loathed was nearby. Now, with the enemy exposed and Huang Yi concealed, they were already at a disadvantage even before he launched his revenge.

Soon after, Huang Yi followed the crowd to a narrow canyon.

The ground gradually turned black here, as if drenched with ink. Ahead lay the Desolate Demon Lands.

Upon reaching this point, many people’s expressions became grave. They stopped walking and began preparing various magic items to ready themselves for entering the Desolate Demon Lands.

Huang Yi didn’t make any preparations. His current strength was far too weak for hunting the demons. His sole objective was to carefully search for the Thunderous Right Hand.

Eventually, he arrived at the canyon’s end, where a vast expanse of pitch-black wilderness lay before him, laden with the aura of decay and desolation.

This place was enveloped by a formation created by the Seven Archdemons, forming its own miniature world without any distinction between day and night. The sky was perpetually blood-red. The land bore barren trees devoid of leaves; occasionally, a few crows perched on the branches, letting out mournful cries that echoed far away.

Just looking at this scene induced a feeling of desolation and hopelessness—a land seemingly devoid of any sense of hope.

Once the group arrived, they dispersed in different directions, delving deeper into the Desolate Demon Lands.

Huang Yi gradually ventured into a secluded area. Seeing that there was no one around, he summoned Little Dragon, rode it high into the sky, and sped toward the depths of the Desolate Demon Lands.

His goal was clear—the Heavenly Demon Mountain at the heart of the Desolate Demon Lands!

Demons cannot directly use equipment from The Second World. The items must be soaked in the Magic Pool for corrosion until they are fully demonized and usable.

The Thunderous Right Hand is a piece of semi-epic equipment. Due to its immense power, it requires years of soaking in the Magic Pool for complete demonization. Even the campus basketball fan in the Warrior Alliance mentioned that experts could still perceive the bracer within the Desolate Demon Lands, indicating that it hasn’t yet been fully demonized and remains in the Magic Pool.

The only Magic Pool within the Desolate Demon Lands is located in the depths of the Heavenly Demon Mountain.

Little Dragon flew high above, hidden within the blood-colored clouds in the sky, making detection exceptionally difficult. On its journey, it encountered no demons.

After flying for half a day, Little Dragon finally brought Huang Yi to the area surrounding Heavenly Demon Mountain.

Vast and boundless, the mountain range stretched far beyond what the eye could perceive. Occasionally, crows gathered in flocks and soared into the sky, emitting desolate cries that spread in all directions.

The ground was covered in towering barren trees, some as tall as 100 meters. Their dense, withered branches formed a thick net, obscuring the view below.

Huang Yi carefully scanned the ground below with his gaze. According to information he found in the library, the Magic Pool within the Desolate Demon Lands was housed inside a demon structure called the Desolate Magic Temple, guarded by heavily armed forces.

The scope of Heavenly Demon Mountain was simply too vast. Huang Yi rode Little Dragon, flying back and forth from east to west, circling around repeatedly, but couldn’t locate the Desolate Magic Temple. On several occasions, he was almost discovered by demons, but fortunately, Little Dragon’s speed allowed them to escape.

"Hmm? Found it!" Huang Yi finally spotted a small black dot on the horizon in the distance. When he looked closer, he could make out what appeared to be a temple—it seemed likely this was the Desolate Magic Temple he was seeking.

Huang Yi instantly urged Little Dragon downward and, with a flick of his body, transformed into the Eyeless Demon form.

The Eyeless Demon form grew proportionately with Huang Yi’s level. Now, at over level 120, his Eyeless Demon transformation was as large as a bison.

Using the Heart Eye’s visual ability, Huang Yi began navigating through the barren forest.

The closer he got to the Desolate Magic Temple, the more demons he encountered. However, they all perceived him as one of their own and did not attack.

At last, he reached the front of the Desolate Magic Temple and observed it up close—its grandeur and majesty were overwhelming.

The temple towered over 100 meters, constructed entirely from massive black stones, each as large as a door panel. The architectural style was simple and unadorned, exuding a raw and ancient aura without any ornate decorations.

At the temple’s entrance stood two neat rows of demon guards. They wielded long spears, were draped in simple black cloth strips, and their muscular bodies exuded immense power. Every guard emanated an eerie aura of demonic energy, with strength at the advanced Holy Domain level or higher. Among them, six guards even stood at the top level of the Holy Domain, surpassing level 190.

Meanwhile, countless demons converged upon the temple from all directions. Most of them belonged to the high-rank demon race, bearing various injuries, dripping black demonic blood, and staggering as they entered the temple.

Everything Huang Yi observed aligned with the information he had researched in the Oskan Royal Academy Library.

The Desolate Magic Temple is a key structure within the Desolate Demon Lands, accessible only to demons of high rank. Its Magic Pool serves as the source of the demons’ power. Regardless of the severity of their injuries, soaking in the Magic Pool for a while restores them to full vigor, transforming them back into energetic warriors. These injured demons were heading to the temple specifically for healing in the Magic Pool.

As an Eyeless Demon, Huang Yi was not a member of the high-rank demon race. Furthermore, at just over level 120, he was far from qualified to enter the temple.

Absolute Invisibility wouldn’t work either; there was an anti-invisibility formation set up by the Seven Archdemons inside the temple, rendering all invisibility skills ineffective. Even master stealth users like Dragon Spike wouldn’t be able to remain invisible within.

Huang Yi used Heart Eye to observe the temple, contemplating a way to enter.

His treasure-sniffing ability clearly indicated that there was indeed a semi-epic-tier item within the temple—it was very likely the Thunderous Right Hand!

Just then, one of the guards scanned in Huang Yi’s direction with piercing eyes, seemingly warning this low-rank demon to retreat and not linger.

To avoid drawing any suspicion, Huang Yi immediately turned away and returned to the barren forest he had been in earlier.

"That group of Half-Beasts is incredibly strong. Fortunately, their target isn’t us; otherwise, we’d already be dead with no chance to escape."

"Especially the Heaven-Sent Man leading them. I can sense he’s just a hair away from achieving the Heavenly Domain level—only the envoy could defeat them!"

At that moment, Huang Yi overheard two injured demons supporting each other as they walked toward the Desolate Magic Temple, discussing among themselves.

"Half-Beasts, Heaven-Sent Man—could it be Hanging Ghost and his group?" Huang Yi’s ears perked up at their conversation, and a thought arose in his mind.

He activated Eye of Time on the two demons to peer into their pasts.

Soon enough, Huang Yi discovered that these demons had come from the eastern region of Heavenly Demon Mountain. About ten kilometers away, they had encountered a group of Half-Beasts and nearly lost their lives. That group of Half-Beasts was indeed Hanging Ghost and his followers.

Huang Yi fell into contemplation. With no way to enter the Desolate Magic Temple at present, he might as well go investigate Hanging Ghost’s activities. If an opportunity arose to eliminate them, he wouldn’t hold back, as he was no saint.

Choosing a secluded spot, Huang Yi summoned Little Dragon again and flew eastward across Heavenly Demon Mountain in search of Hanging Ghost’s group.

Little Dragon’s speed was swift. Before long, Huang Yi reached the area where those two demons had encountered Hanging Ghost and his Half-Beast group. However, the place was now empty; the Half-Beasts had already left.

Huang Yi continued searching nearby while riding Little Dragon. With over a hundred individuals, their group was far too conspicuous, making them relatively easy to track.

"Boom!" Suddenly, a dazzling light erupted from a distant valley, accompanied by a deafening roar. A flock of crows was startled from the forest and soared into the sky.

Without hesitation, Huang Yi urged Little Dragon to fly toward the valley.

From high above the valley, Huang Yi saw a fierce battle unfolding amidst the barren woods below.

Over a hundred Half-Beasts were besieging a top-level Holy Domain demon. The demon roared furiously but couldn’t escape the encirclement, sustaining heavy injuries and growing increasingly sluggish. It appeared close to death.

The group of over a hundred Half-Beasts was none other than Hanging Ghost and his followers!

The ground below was covered with densely tangled barren branches, obscuring the view from above. Luckily for Huang Yi, they hadn’t detected him.

"Priest team, keep suppressing its ability to fly—don’t let it escape! If it manages to notify other top-level demons nearby, we’ll all be slaughtered here with no chance of survival!" Hanging Ghost shouted as he fiercely struck the top-level demon with his war blade, commanding the group with authority.

Watching the scene below, Huang Yi rubbed his chin, an idea forming in his mind.

He promptly directed Little Dragon to land stealthily in a remote area.

Then, after dismissing Little Dragon, Huang Yi transformed into Half-Beast form, adopting the identity of Big Baddie, and rushed toward the direction of Hanging Ghost’s group.

"Increase the attack! It’s almost finished!" Hanging Ghost’s voice rang out again, tinged with a hint of excitement.
