Chapter 822 - 779: The Fisherman Benefits

Chapter 822 - 779: The Fisherman Benefits

Time passed second by second as the Deep Sea Demon Flesh and the Harbinger of Doomsday continued their fierce battle. There was no technique involved—just pure brute force. From a distance, Yun and the Tidal Calling Siren Princess were utterly shaken by the sight.

"Swish!" At that moment, two enormous scythes suddenly materialized in the hands of the Harbinger of Doomsday. These scythes seemed to have been pulled straight out of the magma within a volcano, burning fiercely with flames. The scythes had a crescent-shaped curve, their hooks razor-sharp, as though they could rip out a person’s very heart.

This pair of scythes was none other than the infamous Scythe of Doomsday that the Harbinger of Doomsday had once shown to Yun. Back then, the scythes were of regular size—now, they had grown unimaginably enormous, towering into the skies.

"Woosh!" With a swing of both arms, the Harbinger of Doomsday slashed the scythes down toward the body of the Deep Sea Demon Flesh!

The massive scythes, like divine tools that could split the heavens and the earth, tore through the dark clouds in the high skies, leaving behind long trails of fire. Carrying the weight of a mountain, they viciously struck the Deep Sea Demon Flesh!

"Puff!" In the next moment, the Scythe of Doomsday plunged entirely into the body of the Deep Sea Demon Flesh!

Overwhelmed by unimaginable pain, the Demon Flesh’s massive body convulsed violently, twisting uncontrollably. In a sudden contraction, it surged forward, colliding ferociously with the Harbinger of Doomsday!

The Harbinger of Doomsday was sent flying, along with his scythes, as though struck by the force of an island. He smashed heavily into the sea’s surface!

The flames surrounding him immediately dimmed considerably. A deafening "crack" echoed from his right arm, indicating signs of a fracture!

Their battle was a clash of titanic killing machines, each movement bringing devastating injuries to the other.

"Who do you think will win?" Yun, standing on the swaying ship, turned to ask the Tidal Calling Siren Princess.

"I think that fire figure has the upper hand! His attack power is monstrous, especially with those scythes—they’re overwhelming. When you look at them, you can feel their ability to slice through anything. If the Deep Sea Demon Flesh wants to survive, it must disable his arms to prevent him from wielding weapons," the Tidal Calling Siren Princess analyzed. Though appearing youthful, she was an ancient relic who had once served as the Sea God’s maid and had since advanced to the level of the Heavenly Domain. Her perceptive insight was unmatched.

"Indeed, those scythes must be at the level of Divine Artifacts, but they’ve been temporarily downgraded to Epic Tier," Yun nodded, explaining, "That fire figure is known as the Harbinger of Doomsday. He was once a Deity but has fallen significantly in power. The reason he’s this strong now is because I cast the Frenzy Curse on him. However, the curse only lasts for two hours. After two hours, he’ll fall into a comatose state."

"A Deity?" the Tidal Calling Siren Princess exclaimed softly, visibly surprised. "That makes him even harder to kill. Deities transcend life and death. Even if they perish, their souls won’t enter the Underworld unless their soul is bound or directly destroyed, preventing resurrection."

"Binding his soul, eh?" Yun smirked faintly but didn’t elaborate further. His gaze remained fixed on the infernal battlefield in the distance.

Finally, more than an hour passed.

Both the Harbinger of Doomsday and the Deep Sea Demon Flesh were riddled with injuries, their attacks losing much of their former ferocity. Their capabilities were significantly diminished.

The Deep Sea Demon Flesh had lost nearly half of its massive body. Craters and gaping wounds covered its once-impenetrable form, unable to withstand the devastating Scythe of Doomsday. Each strike carved away chunks, as though the creature were being executed by a thousand cuts.

The Harbinger of Doomsday fared no better—his arm hung uselessly, unable to lift one of his scythes. He was left with only one hand to wield the remaining Scythe of Doomsday. His defense had plummeted to a tenth of its original capacity, rendering him incapable of withstanding further assaults from the Deep Sea Demon Flesh.

"Boom!" Once again, the two behemoths collided with monumental force, unleashing waves that soared into the heavens!

Chunks of the Deep Sea Demon Flesh were cleaved off by the Scythe of Doomsday, resembling miniature mountains breaking away from an island’s landmass.

Meanwhile, the Harbinger of Doomsday’s waist had been pierced clean through, leaving a massive hole that cost him nearly half his body. Streams of fiery blood poured from his body, resembling molten magma cascading into the sea, causing the seawater to boil furiously.

The battle between these titanic beings had reached a life-or-death crescendo. Both combatants were throwing everything at each other, desperate to claim victory.

Another half an hour dragged by.

It was evident that neither could sustain the fight much longer. Their attacks slowed considerably, each strike prepared with great difficulty and lacking the intensity of earlier bouts. Even the tsunamis their clashes provoked lessened in force.

The thunder and lightning in the skies had dissipated. Under the moonlight, the sea’s surface once again shimmered with waves, gradually calming.

The Deep Sea Demon Flesh had been reduced to just a third of its original size. Over two-thirds of its massive bulk had been sliced away by the Scythe of Doomsday, its flesh scattered throughout the vast ocean. It floated motionless, as though lifeless, but sporadic tremors of its body revealed it was clinging to life.

The Harbinger of Doomsday, however, was in an equally dire state. Both arms hung lifelessly. Though still gripping his scythes, he could no longer raise them. His waist was half gone, and most of his blood had drained out. The once-abundant magma-like liquid now emerged only in slow drops, dwindling like a dying flame. The fire covering his body hovered on the brink of extinction.

"Boom!" Both combatants mustered the last shreds of their strength for one final attack!

The Harbinger of Doomsday used his head as a weapon, ramming it fiercely into the Deep Sea Demon Flesh’s body, embedding it deeply within its enemy.

The Deep Sea Demon Flesh retaliated with all its force, slamming into the Harbinger of Doomsday’s waist.

"Boom!" The collision was catastrophic, resulting in the Harbinger of Doomsday’s body being severed in half at the waist!

His lower body sank into the depths of the ocean while his upper torso, with its embedded head, remained attached to the Deep Sea Demon Flesh.

Both combatants hung lifelessly in the water, fused together, neither stirring further. They drifted, motionless, upon the sea, locked in an eternal tableau.

Time ticked by, and the sea gradually settled. The hulking forms of the Deep Sea Demon Flesh and the Harbinger of Doomsday floated there silently, resembling ancient islands upon the ocean’s surface.

Finally, the Frenzy Curse Yun had cast reached its two-hour limit!

"The potion’s effect should have ended—he should be comatose now. Let’s go clean up the aftermath!" Yun murmured with an edge of excitement, instructing the crew to steer the Cloud Sail Battleship back.

Like a venomous serpent concealed in darkness, the Cloud Sail Battleship slithered through the seas toward the fallen giants at great speed.

This stretch of ocean was now thick with murky debris: seafloor sediment, and remnants of the Harbinger of Doomsday and the Deep Sea Demon Flesh scattered throughout—evidence of the intensity of the earlier battle.

In no time, the Cloud Sail Battleship arrived beside the fallen Deep Sea Demon Flesh and Harbinger of Doomsday.

Yun tested their condition with an attack. He leapt from the ship and swung his Epic-tier Bloodstained War Halberd toward the Deep Sea Demon Flesh.

His strike was like a mosquito biting an elephant—it barely registered. Only his dark and holy attribute powers inflicted minor damage.

The Deep Sea Demon Flesh’s health points appeared—it had only 2.2% of its remaining health, gravely injured and on the brink of death.

Yun then tested the Harbinger of Doomsday. Remarkably, its health was even lower—only 1.2%—and it was already unconscious.

Given Yun’s current attack power, killing them would take days even in their critical states.

But Yun was in no rush. He called back to the Tidal Calling Siren Princess aboard the Cloud Sail Battleship, "Control your strength and get them to bare life status. Then, let me deal the finishing blow."

"Understood!" The Tidal Calling Siren Princess immediately raised her hand, casting a series of spells.

As a Celestial Realm expert, dealing with two gravely injured colossi was a trivial task for her. Her relentless magical spells whittled down their health closer and closer to bare life status.

Yun retrieved a Magic Bottle from his storage ring. Inside, a single droplet of orange liquid rolled back and forth—it was the Leader’s Double Experience Potion! After killing a boss, this potion would grant double experience; however, a single drop was effective for only one use!

This drop wasn’t an item naturally brewed by his Magic Bottle but was painstakingly crafted by his research team, including Lu Ye, the Alchemist, the Zaun Madman, and the Toxic Sorcerer. Yun had established a secret laboratory deep within the Demonic Beast Mountain Range for their experiments. This Leader’s Double Experience Potion was their latest achievement—available in only a single dose!

"All done! The Deep Sea Demon Flesh is about to die. If I attack it one more time, I might kill it directly. Now it’s your turn!" The crisp voice of the Tidal Calling Siren Princess broke through the tension.

Nodding, Yun quickly consumed the Leader’s Double Experience Potion and brandished the Bloodstained War Halberd, striking the Deep Sea Demon Flesh.

"Thwack! Thwack! Thwack!" His attack was almost insignificant to the massive form of the Deep Sea Demon Flesh, even with its remaining sliver of health.

"Come forth, Barbarian God!" Unable to do enough damage, Yun resorted to summoning his most powerful companion, the Barbarian God.

Spending 10 units of Power of the Nefalem, he activated his max-level Nefalem Skill—Demon God Fusion—merging with the Barbarian God.

In an instant, Yun’s strength surged exponentially, granting him power that could sustain a full battle. (To be continued.
