Heroes' Prison

Chapter 479 - 469 Lurking

Chapter 479 - 469 Lurking

Huang Yi meticulously collected twenty to thirty bottles of Ancient Giants’ blood before finally stopping, carefully stowing them away in his storage ring. He then pulled out the Sea-Calming Divine Staff that was embedded in the Giant General, and placed it in the storage ring as well.

After completing all this, he walked out of the cell and made his way to the Stone Chamber where the keys were located. Among the myriad keys floating around, he needed to find key number 1573 to release the Ancient Giant Puppet.

The keys of Heroes’ Prison had a life of their own; Huang Yi couldn’t store them in his storage ring, nor could he take them outside. Even when he inserted these keys into the locks, they would fly back to the Stone Chamber on their own—it was quite a hassle. In a certain sense, Huang Yi hadn’t truly taken control of the prison yet.

Next, Huang Yi singled out the fastest keys he could grab, tirelessly forging ahead in his endeavor.

Three hours later, he finally emerged from the Stone Chamber, tightly clutching a key. The number 1573 was inscribed upon it.

Arriving at the cell door of the Ancient Giant, Huang Yi opened it completely. The Ancient Giant still stood inside, having not escaped; it wouldn’t move until Huang Yi issued an order.

Huang Yi took out the Giant General’s Whip from his storage ring and whipped the Ancient Giant Puppet like he was driving cattle, prompting it to leave the cell.

...

At this moment, the Undead Flying Dragon and Little Wang sprawled outside the entrance to Heroes’ Prison, utterly bored as they stared at the pitch-black maw, waiting for Huang Yi to appear.

Just then, the long-stagnant entrance to Heroes’ Prison finally began to disperse; a figure as large as a small mountain could be glimpsed within, gleaming in the brilliant sunlight, its resplendence was heart-pounding!

Little Wang was so scared that he lay prostrate on the ground, trembling!

Finally, the entrance to Heroes’ Prison completely disappeared, and Huang Yi and the Ancient Giant Puppet were fully revealed!

Undead Flying Dragon stared at the Ancient Giant, its dragon eyes suddenly bulging wide. After a long moment, it hoarsely spat out four words: "Ancient Giant!"

"Yes, an Ancient Giant, but it’s wounded and needs to secretly recover here for some time," Huang Yi nodded. The Ancient Giant could absorb the surrounding materials to rebuild its body, rapidly boosting its strength. This Heavenly Pit was rich with resources, practically its own Heaven, and he believed it would not take many days for it to return to its full strength.

The Undead Flying Dragon was shocked for a good while before it regained its composure and scrutinized the Ancient Giant, murmuring, "God of Slaughter! I never imagined you could obtain such a creature, long extinct, a natural enemy of the Demon Clan. The Seven Archdemons had a hard time eradicating all the Ancient Giants, turning them into an eternal legend. I’ve only read about them in historical texts; I never expected to see one with my own eyes in my lifetime."

Having arrived in the outside world, the Ancient Giant Puppet began to automatically absorb the surrounding earth and stone! A whirlwind stirred around it instantly, as if it was in the center of a maelstrom, with countless stones flying towards and adhering to it, quickly covering its shimmering gold to a great extent.

"This is our Main Territory; don’t destroy it. Jump down into the Heavenly Pit and absorb from there!" Huang Yi flung the Giant General’s Whip in his hand, lashing it against the Ancient Giant’s body.

Immediately, the Ancient Giant became compliant, ceasing its absorption and began taking massive strides towards the cliff edge, lumbering along.

It plowed down the trees in its path, carving out a passage through the forest with unstoppable force, reaching the cliff edge and leaping into the Heavenly Pit below with a crash!

"Boom!" A rumble of an earthquake soon followed as the colossal body of the Ancient Giant, like a meteor, smashed into the bottom of the Heavenly Pit, causing a powerful quake. Numerous rocks were dislodged from the mountain, creating a scene akin to the End of the World.

Huang Yi and the Undead Flying Dragon spread their wings and soared into the sky for an overhead view, quickly locating the Giant General.

At that moment, it was voraciously absorbing the surrounding sand and rocks at the bottom of the pit, no longer hesitating.

The entire Heavenly Pit was engulfed in a fierce and vast storm, with materials from miles around involuntarily sweeping towards that direction!

Wolves, tigers, leopards, and other wild animals were tossed around like ants, towering trees were uprooted, and a dense mass of materials flew toward the Ancient Giant, sticking to its body and becoming part of it.

The air around became hazy with dust, gradually obscuring vision until only a massive shadow could be made out below, a terrifying sight!

This transformation before their eyes was akin to a geological reshaping, and after a few days, the Heavenly Pit was likely to be completely altered, with some mountains possibly collapsing. The Ancient Giant would become a new peak, standing proudly between heaven and earth.

"Alright, let it fully absorb its fill. Once it recaptures its peak strength, we will have the strongest bodyguard in the entire continent. These next few days you must watch over it closely and ensure nothing goes awry," Huang Yi said contentedly as he gazed at the huge, hazy vortex below, speaking to the Undead Flying Dragon.

"Of course, this Ancient Giant looks like it could develop to the Heavenly Domain Level. Moreover, its massive size will be a substantial advantage, making it even more formidable than other experts at the same level. By then, I will be no match for it," the Undead Flying Dragon replied, its enormous dragon eyes also fixed unblinkingly on the vortex below, remarking wistfully.

"It’s just a pity that it requires my manipulation to exhibit its combat power, and its destructiveness is too great. It can only be used at crucial moments, lying low at other times. As a being that transcends ordinary creatures, even its mere steps could wreak catastrophic consequences," Huang Yi mused, stroking his chin thoughtfully.

...

While Huang Yi was releasing the Ancient Giant, far away on the Italian Mainland, within a Dark Church, two people sat quietly.

One was a bald man, and the other was a woman dressed in a black robe, with a dignified appearance.

They were sitting on a bench next to the church window, with blood-red curtains shielding the window. The struggling rays of sunlight carried a faint hue of crimson, casting a glow on their figures that made them resemble vampires from Medieval Europe.

"T.N.T, you’re going to compete with the God of Slaughter in three days. He isn’t like the others; he has instant-kill potions. How will you counter that?" the woman asked, her voice ethereal, matching her black robe and graceful demeanor, making her seem like a Saintess of the Dark Church.

The bald man sitting beside her was none other than the mysterious figure who had shined in the recent fighting tournament—T.N.T!

He smiled faintly and said, "The God of Slaughter has four instant-kill potions, two of which he has already used. He still has two left, and it takes winning three matches to become the champion in the top eight. There’s a match where he will have to rely on his own strength to win. And our fight will be the one without instant-kill potions."

"Why?" the woman questioned.

"Because I will make him realize that instant-kill potions don’t work on me. I have a method that I have never revealed before, and once he knows it, he surely won’t use his potions against me," T.N.T said confidently.

"You’re actually willing to use that ability? The God of Slaughter’s sister seems to have it too if he finds out, he indeed might give up using the instant-kill potions," the woman pondered thoughtfully, nodding, then continued, "But even if he doesn’t use his potions, his own strength is terrifying enough. The Giant General that invaded the Hero’s Continent was secretly taken away by a mystery expert, and he has not been located yet. The God of Slaughter was not harmed at all and can fight you with his full strength."

"That’s why I need to plunge the Hero’s Continent into crisis once more, let the God of Slaughter die a few times, and then he will be no match for me," T.N.T stated, a faint smile curling at the edges of his lips as his fingertips lightly tapped the table, producing a rhythmic sound, as if everything was within his grasp.

Then, he stood up and walked over to a side door of the church, slowly pushing it open.

Beyond the door was a sinister expanse of black wasteland, with the sky a heavy leaden color and several black crows mournfully flying overhead.

T.N.T stepped through the door into the black wilderness, as if crossing into another world.

Inside the church, the woman in the black robe watched through the door as T.N.T’s figure slowly receded, murmuring to herself in a voice only she could hear, "Even if you defeat the God of Slaughter, you won’t be the king; you’re ultimately the king’s puppet..."

...

Gradually, two days passed.

That night, a huge full moon rose slowly, accompanied by seven colored stars. The bright moonlight and the soft multicolored starlight sprinkled down.

At this moment, Huang Yi’s incarnation stood on the deck of a Dragon Fang Battleship plowing through the waves. With his hands behind his back, he admired the glittering sea surface under the moonlight, the bracing sea breeze making his battle robe flutter loudly.

"Big Brother God of Slaughter, we’ve reached the coordinates you mentioned; it took us only 27 minutes to sail here," the captain of the Dragon Fang Battleship reported to Huang Yi at this moment.

"I know!" Huang Yi nodded, then leaped directly from the deck into the vast, boundless ocean.

This action shocked the captain on deck! They were in a deep-sea region, rife with unknown dangers and various unnamed Deep Sea Giant Beasts lurking beneath. Sometimes, just standing on the deck, one could see their vague dark silhouettes gliding beneath, sending chills down one’s spine, but Huang Yi had just dived in headlong, a seemingly suicidal act.

"Splash!" With that sound, Huang Yi hit the water, disappearing from the sea’s surface.
