Chapter 334 - 327 Liu Ying’s Hatred

At this moment, deep within the Half-Beast Tribe.

Here, there was a gigantic altar with a diameter of several hundred meters, constructed from massive stones piled upon one another. Each stone bore the weathered marks of the passing years, covered in green moss, with stubborn wild grass growing from the crevices.

Above the altar, tens of thousands of Half-Beastmen were currently standing. Most were unarmed civilians, and some Half-Beast mothers were holding their children, singing lullabies to coax them to sleep.

Yet those children kept their eyes wide open, gazing into the distance where faint sounds of clamour could barely be heard, inquiring where their fathers had gone. The mothers wore listless expressions, speechless.

For now, the surroundings were still relatively quiet. They were in the safest part of the tribe, with only low murmurs and occasional sobs rising among the crowd.

Standing at the very front of the queue was a young Half-Beastman. He stood tall with well-defined muscles, showing a shadow of the chieftain’s presence, surely destined to grow into a powerful leader. This Half-Beastman was Liu Ying. He was following his father’s orders, guarding these tribesmen and preparing to activate the Altar Teleportation at any moment.

He stood in front of the crowd like a statue, staring into the far-off night sky which had turned a fiery red. Sounds of battle faintly reached from afar. With every pained cry of a Half-Beastman, the corners of his mouth twitched slightly, his palms clenched till the knuckles turned white, and his eyes glowed with the blood-light of hatred.

"Instakill, I will most definitely make the Half-Beast Holy Land issue a death warrant, so that you’ll be hunted by all Half-Beastmen for all eternity!" Liu Ying gritted his teeth, whispering to himself with a trembling voice, his hatred for Huang Yi seething deep within his soul.

Gradually, Huang Yi made his way through most of the Half-Beast Tribe, encountering countless corpses. His army of five hundred thousand had arrived with an overwhelming force, leaving no one able to stand in their way.

However, the closer he got to where Sunset was, the more Half-Beastmen bodies lay on the ground, suggesting that a fierce slaughter had taken place prior.

Along the way, Huang Yi saw many players from the Hero Guild, all rushing in the same direction. These players greeted him joyously upon his arrival, as if he were the backbone they had been looking for, and immediately followed behind him.

As time passed, more and more people gathered behind Huang Yi, surging forward like a tide, while the thunderous war cries grew louder in the distance.

After passing through a cluster of bushes, the scene suddenly cleared—here lay an extensive field, with the bright moon hanging high in the sky, casting down a ghostly white moonlight. Underneath the moonlight, a chaotic battle raged with hundreds of thousands of Half-Beastmen desperately fighting against members of the Hero Guild! Flickering torches could be seen everywhere, igniting the dry grass on the ground.

This was the largest battlefield, with seven or eight out of ten members of the Hero Guild present, and the situation was similar for the Half-Beast Tribe. The outcome of this conflict would determine the victor of tonight’s war.

Huang Yi scanned the vast battlefield and immediately spotted a towering Half-Beastman chieftain in the distance, over ten meters tall. His body was covered in patterns resembling magic engravings, wielding an immense Wolf Fang Club and wreaking havoc in the Hero Guild’s crowd like a Remote Ancient ferocious beast. No one could withstand his attacks, and with every swing, a crowd would be swept away.

This figure was no doubt the Half-Beast Chieftain!

Yet at this moment, his movements were gravely slow and clumsy, relying purely on brute strength to slaughter, devoid of the unbending might that marked a Holy Domain Warrior. He must have sustained severe injuries in the earlier battles, which greatly reduced his combat capabilities; otherwise, the Hero Guild would have already lost. Just one Half-Beast Chieftain as a Holy Domain Warrior would be capable of taking on their entire five hundred thousand on his own.

Not daring to delay, Huang Yi spurred his Raptor towards the chieftain, with the group of players following him storming into the battlefield, injecting fresh vigor. "Brother Instakill, you’ve finally arrived!" Huang Yi reached a group of the Hero Guild’s players, where Sunset was, who immediately greeted him excitedly, as if he had been anxiously waiting for him.

Besides Sunset, Overlord, Nameless, Mirror Broken, and several other Rare Class Holders from the Rose Prison were also there. Almost all of the Hero Guild’s high-ranking officials present were in this expedition, each with a grave expression.

"That Half-Beast Chieftain is incredibly strong, having killed many of our brothers. Huang Yi turned his head and, indeed, the Guardian Riders lying under the chieftain’s feet had been decimated. A five hundred-strong team of Guardian Riders now appeared to be reduced to merely about two hundred. At a distance, a group of high-attack mages, bow hunters, and ranged Outlander Class professionals furiously assailed the chieftain. While each of their attacks was negligible compared to the massive half-beast chieftain, the aggregate was quite significant.

The towering figure of the half-beast chieftain fought vigorously. It must have assumed its largest form, a majestic stature that stood at a height of over ten meters, like a small mountain. Even the Guardian Riders on their tall Black Scaled Horses could only reach as high as its shins.

By now, the half-beast chieftain was covered in blood from its wounds, and on its left flank, a huge bloody hole was visible, revealing bone and constantly bleeding.

"You continue with the war of attrition tactic; I’ll go up and hold it off," Huang Yi said and immediately spurred his raptor towards the half-beast chieftain!

The raptor’s powerful hind legs thumped against the ground, speeding forward while Huang Yi gripped his broadaxe tightly in hand. The light and shadow of countless soldiers fighting streaked past his vision on either side as his gaze remained fixed intently on that half-beast chieftain.

This was the second Holy Domain Warrior Huang Yi had personally fought up to this point!

Last time, he had launched a surprise attack on Guifu Heilang, but the Heilang was more seriously injured than this half-beast chieftain and was practically at his last breath, without limbs and unable to even stand. The half-beast chieftain before him, however, was still able to stand and fight, signaling an even more challenging battle ahead.

"Boom!" The raptor charged swiftly, bursting through the circle of Guardian Riders at the chieftain’s feet and slamming hard against the half-beast chieftain’s shin. The colossal chieftain’s body swayed from the impact, but its skin remained unbroken, showcasing impressive defensive capabilities.

"Hmm?" The half-beast chieftain felt the impact, which seemed fiercer than the others, and looked down at Huang Yi.

"Chieftain, haven’t you been looking for me? I’m here now!" Huang Yi yelled, deploying Heavy Judgment, and his broadaxe fiercely hacked towards the half-beast chieftain’s leg.

"Shhht!" Huang Yi’s broadaxe, a powerful Legendary Weapon, sliced through the chieftain’s skin and wounded it.

"Instakill!" The chieftain glared at Huang Yi, gritted his teeth, and bellowed two words, furiously swinging its massive Wolf Fang Club at Huang Yi with a force that seemed capable of crushing even a mountain, fiercer than any previous attack!

Were that club to hit, not just Huang Yi, but even a mountain would be shattered to pieces!

The raptor between Huang Yi’s thighs sensed the danger and swiftly darted through, evading the chieftain’s ferocious strike by dashing underneath its groin.

The body of the half-beast chieftain was in its largest form at this moment, and many people possess the ability to change size. Being larger did extend the range of damage, but it also meant greatly reduced Agility. With the chieftain already in a critically wounded state and with such an enlarged body, it was difficult to land an attack on Huang Yi astride his raptor.

So Huang Yi deftly avoided the chieftain’s attacks, weaving in and out at its feet, his broadaxe repeatedly strikING against its legs, inflicting new wounds. Meanwhile, that group of high-attack ranged professionals kept up their continuous assault on the half-beast chieftain, further depleting its Health Points.

The surrounding Guardian Riders were caught off-guard by the shockwave and sent flying.

This skill, clearly the same as the one used by the Half-Beast Commander that Huang Yi had fought before, only infinitely more powerful, was simply not on the same level anymore! When Holy Domain Warriors and ordinary people used the same skill, it was an entirely different concept!
