However, some players might only randomly get 3%, and to reach 4%, they would need to repeatedly enhance that layer. Like Huang Yi’s previous 3rd Stage, which was at the lowest value of 3%, he could now go back and re-enhance the 3rd Stage if he wished.

The second setting divides the War Soul into three phases, with all progress in that phase reset upon failing to upgrade a layer.

The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Stages are the First Phase, the 4th, 5th, and 6th Stages are the Second Phase, and the 7th, 8th, and 9th Stages are the Third Phase. Taking the First Phase as an example, if a player succeeds in the first two stages but fails at the 3rd Stage, then not only does the progress of the 3rd Stage reset, but also the achievements of the 1st and 2nd Stages, compelling them to start over from the beginning! If the 3rd Stage is successful, then they have traversed the First Phase! The Second Phase begins, consisting of the 4th, 5th, and 6th Stages. If the 4th and 5th Stages are successful but the 6th Stage fails, then the 4th and 5th Stages reset, and the player must begin again at the 4th Stage...

According to these two settings, Huang Yi can first enhance the Life Soul to the 9th Stage. Then, he can go back and re-enhance the 6th Stage, and upon failure, the achievements of the 6th, 5th, and 4th Stages would all reset. Next, he would re-enhance the 3rd Stage and upon failure, the 3rd, 2nd, and 1st Stages would be reset.
