Chapter 526: He Tanked Everything, Smiling

Chapter 526: He Tanked Everything, Smiling

Orel stopped a few steps away from Jeral. Suddenly, he raised two fingers to his lips and let out a sharp whistle.

A voice echoed from behind them, and to their surprise, a massive bear emerged.

It was no ordinary creature. Its fur was dark as night, and its eyes glowed a menacing red.

This was a demonic bear, and in the next instant, it leapt forward, landing directly in front of Orel.

But it didn’t stop. Instead, it slammed into him, and for a split second, their bodies overlapped and twisted together.

A new form soon appeared.

It had thick arms, massive claws, a towering body, and dense fur.

It was a grotesque fusion that resulted in a humanoid demonic bear chimera.

As soon as it fully formed, it let out a thunderous roar and turned to Jeral with a grin.

The other grand faction leaders narrowed their eyes at the sight.

"So this is the chimera, huh?"

"What an ugly form."

"As expected of a demonic cultivator."

Orel ignored them, his focus fixed entirely on Jeral. He lifted one hand and curled a finger inward, beckoning.

Then he growled, "Come here and let me smash you!"

Jeral looked at him calmly. He tossed his black sword into the air, and at once, his domain unfolded.

[Black Sword Domain]

The ground beneath him darkened as his sword vanished. At the same time, countless identical black swords appeared in the sky.

All of them pointed downward toward Orel. Yet Orel felt no pressure at all; instead, he grinned.

Jeral frowned slightly. He raised both hands, and two black swords flew down into his grasp.

He pointed one toward Orel. "Let’s begin, you foul beast."

Orel stared at him for a second, then burst out laughing. "Foul beast, huh? Then let me see if this ’foul beast’ can do this."

He roared, and his own domain erupted outward.

[Demonic Bear Chimera Domain]

His body grew even larger, and the ground beneath him sank slightly under the immense pressure.

The entire area was engulfed in a crushing force.

Jeral’s clothes fluttered under the weight of it, but he himself did not budge.

His gaze remained locked on Orel. "You think this is enough to pressure me?"

Orel blinked once, then laughed again. "Of course I knew it... how could someone who dares to fight me be brought down by this?"

He clenched his fist. "In fact, the more you resist, the better the fight will be. It’ll feel even better when I break you myself."

He slammed his foot into the ground, shattering it beneath him as he shot forward.

Jeral tightened his grip on his black swords and rushed ahead as well, slicing through the air.

---

Jeral’s eyes stayed locked on Orel as the air between them tightened. The swords in his hands began to glow as his grip hardened.

[Black Edge Slash]

He slashed forward, each motion releasing black waves that tore across the ground, racing toward Orel.

Orel didn’t move. He let out a deep roar. "You think that’s enough to stop me? That’s laughable."

His claws flexed, glowing with the same dark energy.

[Black Claw Rend]

He swung both arms forward.

Black waves burst from his claws, meeting Jeral’s attacks head-on.

The two impacts collided, shaking the field before finally canceling each other out.

But Jeral stood still, unshaken because he wasn’t done yet.

He released the swords in his hands.

They didn’t fall. Instead, they rose into the sky, joining countless other black blades.

Then, suddenly, all of them began to glow, until the sky itself seemed filled with dark light.

Jeral stepped forward, lifted his arm, and brought it down.

At the same moment, hundreds of black swords followed, unleashing a storm of slashes.

Orel’s eyes widened for a split second, then he burst into laughter. "Damn... you can really do this."

He didn’t dodge. Instead, he took everything head-on.

The black waves struck him one after another, cutting into his body and forcing him back half a step.

But instead of roaring in pain, he grinned.

He pulled his arms back as dark energy surged through them.

[Black Impact]

He drove both fists forward.

A heavy shockwave erupted, smashing into the incoming swords and shattering several in mid-air.

Rolling his shoulders, he exhaled sharply. "You think you can defeat me easily with these swords?"

Jeral didn’t answer. He simply moved his hand, activating another skill.

[Hundred Black Blades]

The hundred swords shifted, becoming different from before.

Instead of following Jeral’s gestures, they moved freely, alive with intent.

They struck from behind, from the sides, and from above, cutting in from every direction at once.

Orel’s body jerked as the blades hit. Several pierced into his arms, shoulders, and side.

But it didn’t hurt him. It only made him grin wider. "Good... really good. You’re actually forcing me to use this."

His body expanded again, muscles tightening and swelling with raw power.

[Demonic Bear Rampage]

His breathing grew rough as his gaze locked onto Jeral. Then he charged forward, ignoring everything.

Even the swords embedded in his body didn’t slow him down; instead, they shattered as he moved.

Pelion, watching from the side, chuckled, shaking his head. "Ah... he lost it already. That was pretty quick."

Across the field, Jeral didn’t move. He watched Orel charge straight at him, ignoring every wound.

His grip tightened slightly. "If a hundred swords can’t bring you down... then I’ll make one special sword for you."

He controlled all the blades in the sky, gathering them together until they fused into one massive black sword above the battlefield.

Jeral raised his hand and pointed forward.

[Black Pierce]

The giant sword shot down in a straight line toward Orel, aiming to finish it once and for all.

Orel roared in response.

Whatever reason he once had was gone, burned away in the heat of battle.

He no longer cared about pain, wounds, or anything else.

There was only one thought left in him.

Crush everything in his path.
