Chapter 375 - 394: Support Our Zone’s Representative
On the day the divisional PK began, Little President Qian finally returned.
He returned with several good recommendations, which pushed the already formidable Jiang Qiuqiu’s popularity to new heights. She easily defeated her opponent for the day—the top streamer from the game commentary division.
It was a victorious first battle. Although it wasn’t against a major category, everyone at the branch office was still thrilled.
Meimei was happy too, but amid her joy, she noticed that Little President Qian’s spirits didn’t seem very high.
"Little President Qian, what’s wrong?" Meimei sidled up to him in the office while the crowd was cheering. "You’ve seemed down ever since you got back from headquarters."
"I’m fine." Qian Xingxing forced a smile. "Just a little tired."
"Oh, tired? You should get some rest, then." After saying this, she paused before adding, "Did something happen with your family? We couldn’t get in touch with you before, so I went to the Dais Family to find Miss Meilin and had her call Chairman Qian."
"He said some things have been going on with your family recently... Is that why you’re in low spirits?"
"You actually went to find Mei Lin?" It dawned on Qian Xingxing.
’No wonder Qian Duoduo suddenly messaged him yesterday, saying he had his father’s old charm, with lots of young women chasing after him.’
’So that was it...’
’Disgusting.’
"What is it? Should I not have gone to Miss Meilin?"
"No." Seeing Meimei’s worried expression, Qian Xingxing immediately took her hand and said, "Thank you for going to her. Thank you for caring about me."
Meimei blushed for a moment before pulling her hand back from Qian Xingxing’s. Her tone held a hint of restrained tenderness and playful reproach. "Well, if there’s nothing else, I’ll be heading out."
After Meimei left, Qian Xingxing sat at his workstation, lost in thought for a long time.
His gaze swept casually across the room and landed on the Federation Live Broadcast Company logo in the office. The company, named after the Federation itself, was the life’s work of the Qian Family, of his grandfather and great-grandfather.
He wanted to carry on his grandfather’s ambition and build the company into something even greater.
’But Dad... But Qian Duoduo has clearly gone astray. I have to set things right. I can’t just wait to inherit the company from him; that’s impossible now.’
’I have to become the new boss.’
-
Qian Xingxing was full of fighting spirit, and so was Jiang Qiuqiu.
Lately, whether she was cooking on stream or just for herself, she no longer used her previous, freewheeling methods. Instead, she used the technique Mrs. Ai’er had taught her—mobilizing her spiritual power and cooking with intense focus.
She hadn’t been doing it for long and was still a bit rusty, but her progress was obvious.
The improvement was practically visible to the naked eye.
This ’deeper’ development of her spiritual power seemed to make the dishes she cooked even more delicious. As a result, Jiang Qiuqiu was more confident than ever about taking first place.
Her confidence was written all over her face, and naturally, her fans rose up to cheer her on, canvassing for votes and rallying support for Jiang Juju everywhere.
And it wasn’t just her own fans, either.
Ever since she became number one in the food section, the streamers who had once been defeated by her spatula also began to speak out in her support.
Langlibaitiao: The food section’s PK is still going! Please continue to support @Jiang Juju and cast a vote for the young lady who cooks such delicious food!
It’s snowing today: Cast your PK votes for our fellow section streamer @Jiang Juju! Let’s get our section’s ranking to the top.
Foodie’s Love: Vote for our colleague @Jiang Juju! Let’s push the food section’s ranking higher—
...
Once she stepped out that door, she was automatically representing the entire food section.
This was no longer a battle between individual streamers, but a contest between divisions.
