HELP! These Girls Wants To Kill Me

Chapter 266 266: 266

Chapter 266 266: 266

"God damn it." Gritting his teeth in anger, Yang Ze hurriedly rushed in to check if she was still alive. Placing his finger just below her nose, he could feel her weak breathing. So, without wasting another moment, he immediately placed his hand on her forehead and began to heal her.

The next instant, a starry light enveloped the little figure, and the wounds on her hands began to heal at a speed visible to the naked eye. Though her face still remained pale due to the loss of blood, at least she wasn't in danger of dying now.

"What a mess!" Yang Ze couldn't help but curse under his breath as he took a glance around him. The beds upon which he had placed the children were dyed red, and so was the ground beneath them.

The entire room smelled of blood and a feeling of heavy oppression.

Changing the bed underneath the gild, Yang Ze checked the bodies of other children as well, but none of them was as lucky as her.

Other than a peaceful expression on their face that had appeared after god knows how long, there wasn't anything else.

"..." It would be a lie to say that Yang Ze's heart wasn't shaken by the scene in front of him. He was planning on testing his healing skill again after practising it for a few more days to see if he could regrow their limbs, but who would have thought that there would be such massive changes? Who would have thought that a mere child of age twelve would be ruthless enough to slit the throat of the limbless children and then slit her own wrist?

Such ruthlessness… such means…

Yang Ze couldn't imagine the despair and pain that one must have gone through to believe that it was better to die.

"No." Shaking his head, Yang Ze's eyes hardened as he glanced at the pale-faced girl. "I can't let her die."

Yang Ze didn't know why he thought about it. Perhaps it was because of the fact that every time he saw a girl this young, he would think of his own younger sister back on Earth. Perhaps the fact that he always felt responsible for her, or the fact that the two of them were dependent on each other when they lost their father and their mother, spiralled into an obsession of intoxication… whatever the reason might have been, it didn't change even after coming to this world.

Hence, he always had a soft spot for the children in his heart. He wished for them to live a better life… a life that he was never able to get. He wished for them to live carefree, far away from the troubles of the real world, unsullied… unbothered.

"Ugh…" Shaking his head, Yang Ze cleared his head of those distracting thoughts and focused on the girl. He once again used his heal skill, hoping to make up for her loss of blood, but to no avail.

"Looks like it can only heal flesh wounds." Muttering to himself, Yang Ze thought for a moment before tapping the bed and with a flash of blue light, both the girl's little hands and feet were embedded in the bed. Now, even if she woke up by any miracle, she wouldn't be able to harm herself.

Just to make sure that there would be no risks, Yang Ze took out every single pointy and sharp object from the room.

It was only then that he nodded in relief, took a glance at the lifeless bodies of other children and with some hesitation, snapped his finger and with that, the bed under them disappeared…. Replaced by small coffins.

It was only then that Yang Ze nodded in response and once again locked the door firmly, cast an illusion to make it look no different than a wall and headed out of the basement, as his figure once again changed shape to that of the middle-aged woman Sun Qiao.

Then, without any hesitation, he rushed towards the nearest market to buy some tonics that could help the girl recover. He didn't want another child dying under his care.

Even though it was raining heavily outside, it didn't take him too long to rush back and forth.

Without the need to worry about gold, he got the most expensive tonic that could be used to nourish one's body, some expensive meat, grains, spices and numerous other miscellaneous things that he never cared about in the past.

Even though the fasting pills won't make a person hungry and will keep them full, they don't provide the nutrients one needs for growth. For a small girl who was in her growth phase, it was, without a doubt, the worst choice of food.

"Let's just hope my cooking hasn't deteriorated." Back on Earth, it was he who often used to cook. After years of cooking, Yang Ze was sure of his cooking skills.

Back in the basement of the house, he first made some renovations to add a fireplace to let out the smoke. With his strength at the peak of Vein Expansion, coupled with his mystic nether art, in just a few short minutes, a brand new exquisite fireplace was already built at the very corner of the room.

After the fireplace was built, Yang Ze laid out every ingredient on the antique wooden table, manifested a bunch of iron pots, knives, and a chopping board and began to process the ingredients. He just wanted to make a simple stew.

After the ingredients were prepared, Yang Ze picked up the pot, turned around and was about to put it in the fireplace when he suddenly realised the most important thing.

"Where are the woods?" Looking at the empty fireplace, he almost wanted to slap himself. He bought every ingredient, but forgot to buy the most important one… wood.

Although he could easily manifest any type of wood that he wanted to, his manifested items look, feel and act the same, but they can not be used for any process. He couldn't melt the iron he manifested, burn the wood or do any other things with them. They will always remain in their state.

And with the property of his very first visualised item, the broken teacup, the most his items could do was shatter into pieces and nothing more.

"Tch." Clicking his tongue in annoyance, he once again rushed out of the house holding the umbrella to the market and after a while came back holding a set of firewood.

With the use of his internal energy, not a single raindrop fell upon it.

And once he was back in the basement once again, Yang Ze threw the wood into the fireplace, put the pot above it, but the next instant, his body froze, and an expression of frustration and anger appeared on his face.

He bought the wood, but how was he going to light it?

Yang Ze almost wanted to slap himself. He looked around the basement, hoping to find something to light the firewood with, but no matter how much he searched, there was nothing.

"Oh, come on." Gritting his teeth in anger, he once again grabbed his umbrella and rushed out of the house. He couldn't just rub stones to light up the fire, could he?

"....."

"....."

"Here you go." The plump middle-aged woman looked at the familiar figure standing in front of her for the third time with a speechless expression and shook her head as she handed him a set of red stones.

Yang Ze took a quick glance at the stones in his hand and nodded in satisfaction.

[Fire Making Stone: Rub them together to light up a fire.]

It was just a simple description, but for the current Yang Ze, it was more than enough.

Holding the set of red stones, which were warm to the touch, he grabbed another pile of wood and rushed back.

This time, there was no suspense. He first lit up the fire, put on the pot, and began the process.

This was the first time Yang Ze was trying out cooking in this world, and coupled with the fact that he was using the ingredients and spices he had no idea about, it was bound to be a disaster.

By the time the so-called 'stew' was finished, just the smell was something that made him want to throw up.

"Ugh." Throwing the food out of the house, he once again stood in the kitchen,n but this time didn't repeat the process.

Instead, he quietly gazed at the ingredients in front of him and began to think about how to make it work.

"The spices are different in taste as well and don't really sit well after being cooked too much." Yang Ze couldn't help but let out a defeated sigh. Unless he spent days experimenting with these, he wasn't going to make something edible anytime soon.

"If only I could learn it easily and know how to…" Speaking till here, Yang Ze's voice stopped, and his eyes narrowed into slits.

"That's right. Can't I just use Enlightenment to cook?" This was perhaps the most absurd idea that ever crossed his mind.

The number of people in the entire Azure Dragon Continent who had ever entered the state of Enlightenment could be counted on one's fingers. It was a state that countless people dreamt of, yet never reached. And yet, there was Yang Ze, using such a precious state to cook food.

If words were to get out, even his bones won't remain intact.

Though it was a wild idea, Yang Ze was itching to give it a try. It was akin to a wildfire… the harder he tried to suppress it, the wilder it got.

In the end, Yang Ze simply gave it a try. He could enter the Enlightenment anytime he wished to, and the only thing that he spent was mental energy.

Without any further ado, he immediately entered the state of Enlightenment. In that instant, Yang Ze felt the world around him slowing down. He took a pinch of the first spice and put it in his mouth, and in that instant, a sea of ideas flooded his mind, telling him the numerous ways he could use it. Some of them were so radical that even he didn't think about it.

After a few seconds, Yang Ze picked up the second spice and tasted it, as another barrage of ideas flooded his mind.

He didn't just stop there, but kept on repeating the process. He would pick up a pinch of spice, taste it and then move on to the other.

In just a few seconds, he managed to formulate tens of thousands of ways to combine them to make different tastes.

Once he was done tasting the spices, he picked up the raw meat, put a small amount in his mouth, chewed it for a moment and then swallowed it, his mind continuously coming up with ideas and ways to process it.

He then repeated the process with vegetables, fruits and other ingredients before closing his eyes.

Under the influence of the Enlightenment, he had already come up with hundreds of different recipes using just these few ingredients.

It wasn't until a few minutes had passed that Yang Ze ended the state of Enlightenment. And when he reopened his eyes, his state of Enlightenment was already over.

"This… this…" Swallowing a mouthful of saliva, Yang Ze couldn't help but take another look at the ingredients in front of him.

It wasn't the hundreds of new recipes in his mind that surprised him, but the fact that Enlightenment could be used on such things as well.

Just a bunch of ingredients and spices gave him countless recipes. But that wasn't all. It even made him an expert on how to cook them. From the temperature to the seasoning and cooking… it was as if he had practised and perfected them for countless years.

"Holy shit." Just thinking about it was enough to make Yang Ze almost jump in excitement.

Till now, he had always used the state of Enlightenment for cultivation and practising techniques. This was the first time he was using it for something else.

"Wait…"

"Just using Enlightenment in cooking brought me so many recipes and experience."

"What if I use it in the midst of the combat?"

"What if I use it while fighting with others?"

This was something that never crossed his mind. But thinking about the results of this short enlightenment, he couldn't help but wonder what the gains would be if he fought others in the state of Enlightenment.

The more he thought about it, the harder it became for him to suppress this idea.

For a moment, Yang Ze even wanted to rush outside, change into someone else, pick up an opponent and fight with them just to check what the outcome would be.

But in the end, he managed to hold back.

"Focus." He would have plenty of time in the future to test this theory. The most important thing right now was to gather more information.

Taking a deep breath, Yang Ze suppressed his raging emotions and was about to prepare a hearty meal when he stopped, turned around to look at the door hiding behind the illusion.

"She is awake!" Raising an eyebrow, Yang Ze picked up the small bottle of tonic and headed towards her, ready to give her an unforgettable lesson about life.
