He’s so Flirty

Chapter 39

Chapter 39

Chapter 39 I’m Begging YouWhen the boy’s deep voice rang out, even Qiao An, who was sitting beside him, was startled.

“Yu…Yu-ge?”

But Wen Yufeng acted as if he hadn’t heard Qiao An’s voice at all. He pushed himself up from the leather armrest of the sofa and stood, though his body swayed slightly—clearly, he was quite drunk.

Even in this state, his gaze remained locked on the girl sitting on the opposite sofa, his eyes dark and menacing.

Under his intense stare, Qin Qing instinctively retreated further into the sofa, feeling confused.

…Wasn’t this the same person who had been pretending not to know her just a moment ago?

While Qin Qing was merely confused, the others at the two adjacent tables were utterly bewildered.

——

The short man leaned over to the dazed Qiao An and whispered, “I told you, Qiao An-ge… Yu-ge definitely has his eye on one of the girls at the neighboring table. Look, isn’t he already making a move?”

At the other table, Sun Wan, looking displeased, forced a smile at Fu Hanlin. “She really knows how to play her cards, doesn’t she? Going against the grain to get Wen Yufeng’s attention like that.”

Fu Hanlin gave Sun Wan a complicated look but said nothing, turning his gaze back to the scene.

Wen Yufeng, although his eyes were on Qin Qing, first walked over to Sun Qifeng.

Sun Qifeng, who had been halted by Wen Yufeng’s words, didn’t retreat even an inch, though he didn’t continue leaning in either.

Maintaining his leaning posture, Sun Qifeng lifted his eyes, still smiling with that same refined and composed demeanor.

“Yu-ge, are you here to steal someone away? But this little girl came to me from your side. Since you couldn’t keep her with you, isn’t it a bit unsightly to be acting this way now?”

Wen Yufeng didn’t respond verbally. Instead, his downturned eyes gradually narrowed, his gaze growing colder.

Then, in a sudden move, he leaned forward, reaching out with his left hand to grab Sun Qifeng by the tie, yanking him up from the seat.

The others, who had been watching the tense atmosphere with growing concern, quickly stood up and rushed over to intervene.

“Yu-ge, Yu-ge, don’t get angry, please…”

After much effort and persuasion, they finally managed to get Wen Yufeng to let go.

Sun Qifeng, now released, looked visibly upset as he straightened his tie, letting out a cold snort through his nose.

“If it weren’t for your family name, I’d really like to know what gives you the right to act so arrogantly here.”

Wen Yufeng’s eyes narrowed dangerously as he looked at Sun Qifeng.

“I don’t need any special rights,” he said, his deep voice pausing for emphasis. “Just me alone—I could break you with one hand. If you have the guts, come and try.”

Sun Qifeng flinched slightly, his gaze shifting away.

He pretended to be calm as he adjusted his clothes, though inwardly he couldn’t help but frown.

…He had, of course, heard about Wen Yufeng’s capabilities.

In their circle, everyone knew about the wild, untamed wolf raised by the Wen family. After standing on his own, the eldest son of the family happened to bring back the lost cub to formally recognize his ancestry.

Although the young wolf refused to return home, everyone knew he bore the label of the Wen family’s eldest grandson.

Even though he now kept his distance, no one dared to provoke him easily.

Especially since this wolf cub had been taken abroad and trained personally for two years by his uncle.

Rumor had it that given time, once this wolf sharpened his claws, he would be no less fierce than Wen Jing, the head of the family.

Just now, the look in his eyes was clearly one of a beast ready to tear someone apart.

If he really got caught up with this ferocious wolf, even if he ended up bloodied, no one would be able to do anything about it.

With this thought in mind, Sun Qifeng suppressed his anger.

Forcing a smile, he glanced at the girl on the sofa before turning back to Wen Yufeng.

“If Yu-ge is so protective, it would be best to take her home and keep her hidden away, to avoid causing any more trouble.”

With that, Sun Qifeng didn’t linger any longer, quickly making his exit.

The others couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.

Qiao An also released Wen Yufeng’s arm, smiling wryly. “Yu-ge, if you really fancy a girl, just give us a heads up. There’s no need to cause a scene. Sun Qifeng didn’t know, so please, calm down.”

Wen Yufeng glanced down at Qin Qing.

After a couple of seconds, he started walking toward her, leaving a hoarse, low voice behind. “She was mine to begin with.”

The deep voice carried a hint of something like grievance or resentment.

As Qiao An and the others stood there in shock, Wen Yufeng had already reached the sofa opposite. He stopped and looked down at the girl.

His handsome face showed no emotion, distant and indifferent, but his eyes were dark and heavy.

“…Who told you to go find someone else?”

His voice, rough and low from the alcohol, cut through the air.

Qin Qing, startled, tried to explain, “I saw you had already drunk too much, so—”

Wen Yufeng, seeming impatient, clicked his tongue softly, cutting her off.

“Come here.”

His voice was hoarse, his black eyes deep as he spoke.

Faced with Wen Yufeng’s stern and unfamiliar demeanor, Qin Qing felt a sense of strangeness. The command “come closer” confused her—he was already standing right in front of her, just inches away, their legs almost touching. Where could she possibly go?

Seeing that she still hadn’t moved and was just staring at him with those clear, innocent eyes, most of his reason dulled by alcohol, Wen Yufeng impatiently leaned down, wrapped his left arm around her slender waist, and effortlessly lifted her onto the soft, wide leather armrest of the sofa.

The sudden change in height and the lateral shift in position left Qin Qing momentarily stunned. Wen Yufeng’s action had been so abrupt and unexpected that she hadn’t even thought about controlling the two glasses she held.

Consequently, the glass filled a third of the way with wine tipped over, its contents spilling entirely onto Wen Yufeng’s white shirt.

The deep bronze-colored stain bloomed on the pristine shirt like a dark, withering flower. The shirt, already thin, became soaked from the chest down, clinging to his skin and revealing the outline of his well-defined abs and the pale color of his skin beneath.

Both of them glanced down at the wine stain, then looked back up at each other.

A moment passed.

“…Ah.”

The girl’s clear, harmless eyes slowly expressed her surprise as she stared at Wen Yufeng without blinking.

“…”

Wen Yufeng was silent for a couple of seconds, still leaning over her, his hand resting on her waist.

After a moment, his thin lips moved slightly.

“It’s already spilled.”

Qin Qing blinked her long eyelashes. “I didn’t… mean to.”

“So, how do you plan to make up for your mistake?”

His eyes seemed to hold tiny, smoldering sparks.

“I…”

Qin Qing, feeling embarrassed, glanced around nervously but didn’t find any cloth nearby. Left with no other option, she offered, “I’ll wipe it off for you?”

The warm tips of her fingers brushed lightly over his abs, trying to clean the cold, sticky wine off him.

“…”

It was as if an invisible explosion went off in Wen Yufeng’s mind. The tiny sparks in his eyes ignited into a raging inferno.

In the next moment, before Qin Qing could fully process what was happening, she found herself being pressed against the low, curved backrest of the sofa by Wen Yufeng.

Somewhere nearby, a girl let out a startled scream. The bar fell into a brief silence as more people noticed the commotion.

After a moment, a wave of whistles and cheers erupted around them.

However, the two people at the center of attention seemed completely oblivious to their surroundings.

Perhaps because the backrest of the sofa was unusually low, Qin Qing’s upper body was almost bent into a right angle. Above her, Wen Yufeng leaned down, his right forearm—still wrapped in a bandage—braced against the top of the backrest above her head, while his left hand lifted her chin slightly, his cool fingertips grazing her skin.

At such close proximity, the galaxy-like light in his eyes appeared dim and blurred.

Qin Qing felt as though she was sinking into it, with no one to pull her back.

“…Are you afraid of me?”

His deep voice, rough and tender, echoed close to her ear.

Qin Qing’s almond-shaped eyes widened in shock.

Then, she realized that he had moved slightly, and her legs, resting on the armrest of the sofa, were now pinned down by his.

“Answer me.” His voice was still raspy and seductive.

The heat from where their legs pressed together seemed to burn straight through the thin fabric, making her cheeks flush.

“I don’t dislike you…” Wen Yufeng’s gaze was hazy with drunkenness, yet his dark eyes stayed fixed on her. “…But do I scare you?”

“…”

Qin Qing found herself unable to speak.

This version of Wen Yufeng made her heart tremble, but it wasn’t out of fear. It was something deeper, more intense—an emotion that surged from her compressed heart and pulsed through her veins, leaving her entire body tingling.

For the first time, Qin Qing felt such overwhelming, scorching emotions. She didn’t know what she was supposed to do or what he wanted.

So she just stared at Wen Yufeng, her almond eyes filled with rippling emotions.

Wen Yufeng’s eyes darkened when he received no response. His gaze shifted downward, settling on her pink lips.

His chiseled jawline gradually descended, narrowing the space between them until the air felt too thin to breathe.

But just before their lips could touch, Wen Yufeng paused, turning his head slightly to the side.

His thin lips brushed against her burning cheek, leaving behind a cool but searing imprint.

Wen Yufeng leaned into her ear, his lips barely grazing it as they moved.

——

“Sweetheart, please grow up quickly…”

His voice was hoarse. “…I’m begging you.”
