He’s so Flirty

Chapter 15

Chapter 15

Chapter 15  GoalIn the second-year mathematics office, Qin Qing stood in front of Fu Zhengnan’s desk, her small face pale, and she appeared lost in thought.

Teacher Xiaolin also noticed that as soon as he mentioned Fu Zhengnan being Qin Qing’s new homeroom teacher, the little girl beside him seemed to show an unusual expression.

However, he had no idea why.

Fu Zhengnan naturally noticed Qin Qing’s change in demeanor. His thoughts turned, and he believed he had found the reason. He sighed softly—

“Qin Qing, don’t worry. I won’t let what happened last time happen again. If Wen Yufeng bullies you again, just come to me, and I’ll make sure to take care of it.”

Qin Qing blinked, her thoughts returning to the present.

Replaying the words that had slipped past her ears earlier, Qin Qing hesitated for a moment but then explained, “Teacher Fu, you misunderstood… Last time, I voluntarily gave him my seat; he didn’t force me to do it.”

“Is that so?”

Fu Zhengnan responded verbally, but his expression clearly showed he didn’t entirely believe her.

But seeing the girl in front of him quickly return to her usual obedient and calm demeanor, Fu Zhengnan couldn’t help but feel a bit of sympathy in his heart—The smarter the child, the more focused they are. Unlike the other girls in the class, he constantly had to worry about them, afraid that one of them might be led astray into early romantic relationships by Wen Yufeng.

Qin Qing also realized that Fu Zhengnan didn’t believe her, but she didn’t know how to explain further.

Before she could finish her internal struggle, Fu Zhengnan had already gathered the teaching materials and papers on his desk, set them aside, and stood up.

“Teacher Xiaolin, I see that the second period is almost over. Since this break is longer, I’ll take her to the new class now.”

“Sure, no problem. I won’t keep you.”

Teacher Xiaolin responded, said goodbye to Qin Qing, and left.

As soon as Teacher Xiaolin walked out, a few other teachers in the office started teasing.

“Teacher Fu, you’ve picked a good one this time. I bet this little girl’s grades can even boost your class’s average by a point or two, right?”

Hearing this, Fu Zhengnan couldn’t suppress the smile on his face.

After exchanging a few words with the other teachers, he turned to Qin Qing with a beaming smile.

“Come on, I’ll take you to the class.”

Qin Qing obediently nodded.

…

When Fu Zhengnan led Qin Qing to the classroom of Class 6 in the second-year building, the bell signaling the end of the period had just rung.

The teacher who had just finished the lesson stormed out of the front door of the classroom, his face looking somewhat sullen.

Their paths were opposite, and the teacher didn’t even acknowledge Fu Zhengnan, who had been ready to greet him. Feeling awkward, Fu Zhengnan retracted his hand and was the first to step into the classroom.

Qin Qing paused at the classroom door, nervously tightening her small face as she quickly scanned the noisy classroom.

—He wasn’t there.

Maybe they reshuffle classes at Yishi High School after each grade level…

Comforting herself with this thought, Qin Qing finally felt a sense of relief.

At this time, as soon as the students in the classroom saw Fu Zhengnan walking in with a serious expression, they all consciously lowered their voices, and those who were fooling around also stopped.

Some sharp-eyed students immediately noticed Qin Qing standing at the classroom door and couldn’t help but curiously and expectantly look at Fu Zhengnan, who was standing at the podium.

There was still some noise in the classroom, so Fu Zhengnan picked up the chalkboard eraser and tapped it on the board.

“Quiet down. I have something to announce.”

As soon as Fu Zhengnan spoke, the classroom quickly quieted down, showing him the respect he was due.

Satisfied, Fu Zhengnan turned towards the front door of the classroom and gestured for Qin Qing to come in.

“Come on in.”

“…”

Qin Qing’s cheeks flushed slightly. She tugged at the straps of her backpack and walked into the classroom.

Since the high school students were busy with military training and hadn’t yet received their uniforms, Qin Qing wasn’t wearing the Yishi High School uniform today. Instead, she wore a black dress with a subtle rose pattern.

Her slender waist was accentuated beautifully, and her pale, jade-like legs formed flawless curves. Her chestnut-colored long hair was tied up, with two soft strands hanging by her temples, slightly curled at the ends, adding a touch of playful cuteness to her already pretty and delicate face.

Under everyone’s gaze, her rosy lips pressed together lightly, and the bright light reflected in her clear eyes.

She stepped onto the podium and turned to face the class.

“This is our new classmate, Qin Qing,” Fu Zhengnan introduced. “Qin Qing has passed all the first-year subject competency tests and has been promoted directly to the second year. Since she’s younger, by two or three years compared to you all, I hope you’ll take good care of her. Understand?”

With this announcement, many astonished eyes turned to look at her.

After all, in their eyes, although the girl looked indeed small and cute, they hadn’t expected her to be two or three years younger than them.

… And from what old Fu said, she seemed to be quite academically talented.

Just then, a low exclamation suddenly came from a corner of the classroom—

“Is she the one who topped the grade rankings after transferring to the junior high last semester?”

This question made all the students look toward Fu Zhengnan, who smiled slightly and then turned to the girl beside him.

“Qin Qing, why don’t you introduce yourself briefly?”

… As expected, there was no escaping this.

Qin Qing scrunched her nose slightly but didn’t dare object. She obediently opened her mouth to speak.

“Hello, everyone. I’m Qin Qing. I’m happy to have the opportunity to meet you all.”

After speaking, Qin Qing bowed slightly to the class.

Standing beside her, Fu Zhengnan and the entire class fell silent simultaneously.

—The introduction ended so quickly that they hadn’t even had time to react.

After a few seconds, Fu Zhengnan cleared his throat and picked up where he left off.

“It seems our new student Qin Qing is rather humble, so I’ll leave it at that.”

He raised his hand, pointing to the empty seat in the first row of the second column, and turned to Qin Qing.

“You can sit there for now. If there’s any problem later, just let me know.”

“Thank you, teacher.”

Qin Qing nodded lightly and walked down from the podium.

“Fang Xiaojing,” Fu Zhengnan addressed the girl sitting next to the empty seat, “can you help our new classmate get settled in?”

“No problem, teacher. You can count on me.”

The girl named Fang Xiaojing agreed without hesitation.

“Good. Also, Qin Qing’s textbooks haven’t been distributed yet. I’ll take care of that later. In the meantime, Fang Xiaojing, share your materials with her if she needs them.”

“Okay, teacher.”

Satisfied, Fu Zhengnan nodded. After checking the time, he turned and left the classroom.

Sitting in the entirely unfamiliar environment, under the curious gazes from all directions, Qin Qing could only lower her eyelashes, quietly opening her backpack and taking out her belongings one by one.

“So you’re Qin Qing?”

Fang Xiaojing glanced up and down at the girl before speaking with a smile.

Qin Qing turned her head slightly to the side and smiled softly.

“Yes, nice to meet you.”

“I heard about you last semester—topping the grade rankings right after transferring to the third year of junior high, scoring full marks in math, physics, and chemistry. That’s something unheard of at Yishi High School.”

“…Is that so.”

Qin Qing responded softly, but didn’t continue the conversation. She genuinely didn’t know how to carry on with such a topic.

Fang Xiaojing’s smile faltered slightly, though it was barely noticeable.

However, she quickly regained her composure and resumed smiling brightly. “My grades aren’t bad either—last semester, I was the top scorer in our class. If we get a chance, let’s study together.”

“…”

Hearing this, Qin Qing raised her eyes, her clear gaze capturing the girl’s figure, her expression pure and innocent.

Under this gaze, Fang Xiaojing’s smile began to falter, almost slipping away completely, until Qin Qing finally nodded slightly.

“Sure.”

Qin Qing turned back to continue organizing her things.

Fang Xiaojing’s smile faded completely as she turned away, muttering under her breath.

“What’s she so stuck-up about…”

“…”

Qin Qing’s hand, holding her water bottle, paused slightly.

After a few seconds, she lowered her gaze, pretending not to hear anything, and set down her water bottle.

…

“I can’t go on…”

Li Xiang groaned, throwing the basketball aside and collapsing onto the bench by the court.

“Yufeng, if you’re in a bad mood, you can’t just take it out on us—if we keep this up, you’ll end up wearing us out.”

The others on the court exchanged glances and dispersed. Zhao Zirui, panting heavily, walked over to the bench and sat down.

After a few moments of catching his breath, he lifted his head, for once agreeing with Li Xiang—

“I need a sub too—Yufeng, your stamina is just insane.”

The only one still standing on the court, bouncing the basketball, was Wen Yufeng. He looked up at the comments, lazily smirking as he scanned the group.

“You guys are just too weak.”

Unlike the others, who were all out of breath, the boy on the court was only lightly sweating. His dark eyes, clear as water, seemed to sparkle under the sunlight.

The group responded with more groans of protest.

As their complaints started to die down, Li Xiang, who had been flipping through his phone on the bench, suddenly exclaimed, catching everyone’s attention.

—Everyone except the one still practicing layups on the court.

“Yufeng!”

Li Xiang leaped off the bench as if injected with adrenaline, waving his phone excitedly—

“They say we have a new classmate, a really pretty girl! Let’s go check it out!”

The other tired players instantly perked up, their interest renewed—

“Is there a picture??”

“Don’t mention it if there isn’t one!”

At that moment, a loud bang sounded, and the group fell silent as they turned to see Wen Yufeng completing a dunk.

The basketball bounced near his feet as the hoop above him trembled with a low hum.

“That was awesome…”

The exclamation came from a class having PE nearby, and Li Xiang and the others couldn’t help but glance over.

However, Wen Yufeng, the center of their attention, didn’t even raise his eyes. He simply grabbed the ball as it bounced away.

Then, he glanced over at the eager Li Xiang and the others, his expression a mix of amusement and disdain—

“Can’t you guys have some self-respect? … Let’s finish the game.”

Li Xiang whined, “Come on, Yufeng! You’ve got someone in mind, but the rest of us are still single!”

“…”

At the mention of a certain “someone,” Wen Yufeng’s dark eyes deepened.

After a few seconds, he snapped back to reality, bouncing the basketball and lazily scanning Li Xiang.

A faint smirk tugged at the corner of his lips as he spoke.

—

“But we’ll finish this game first.”
