Gun of Ashes

Chapter 932 13: The End of Ascension

Chapter 932 13: The End of Ascension

The entire workshop was shrouded in chaotic and eerie forces, with broken wings rising without wind, like a wild snowstorm. They danced, the sharp edges slicing through everything they touched, bursts of fire, and unlucky souls getting hit, with limbs and flesh flying.

Lorenzo quickened his pace, covered in armor, as the snowflakes struck his body, creating a series of booms. Some slices even penetrated through the gaps in his armor, piercing into his body, but this could not stop him.

The fierce flames were burning, boiling.

Pure white flames burst from the muzzle of the Winchester, the Dragon Breath Bullet sliced through the battlefield, severing part of the angels from the whole. Lorenzo seized this opportunity to advance swiftly, delivering heavy blows.

After all he had been through, Lorenzo's power was no longer the same as before. He broke free from the constraints of the Silver Binding Bolt, with the flesh of angels replenishing him. After obtaining the credentials of Ascension, his power was infinitely close to Lawrence. Sometimes he even felt he might be one of the most powerful Demon Hunters in the past century.

"About 5 minutes."

Lorenzo said coldly.

He had been observing the nature of angels, from the death of the first angel to its return, there was about a five-minute interval.

The angels moved forward silently. The entire foundation had already lost control, the emerging Thunder Group turned the ground into a crater-filled wasteland. Through some gaps, one could even see the mechanical structure of the next layer.

The Sword Dancer did not continue to engage in battle; it held its position on the platform, the armor's firearms firing repeatedly, trying to delay the angels' approach as much as possible.

Previously, the gunfire was like a thunderstorm, a symphony of sound, but now it felt much lonelier, with very little combat power left to use.

This was like a piece of floating ice in the vast ocean; other platforms had fallen, leaving only a few, and they had no way to retreat until the angels were dealt with.

In this moment of despair, a violent surge accompanied Lorenzo's descent, like a stone falling into the sea, stirring up towering waves.

Critical Breakthrough.

The pitch-black scale armor seemed alive, entwining Lorenzo's body like serpents, covering him in a resilient armor, while fierce flames gushed from the gaps in the armor, as if burning ghosts were enclosed within.

Lorenzo's formidable presence did not attract much attention from the angels; their gaze remained fixed on the platform above. Neither Lorenzo nor anyone else was their primary target. The attacks from the angels only occurred because these people blocked their path.

Battle was imminent, as Lorenzo fell from high above, striking an angel that had just emerged from the Thunder Group. With the awakening of the Secret Blood and the altitude of the fall, the Nail Sword cleaved through its head, splitting its entire body vertically.

The spine was instantly destroyed, the head shattered into pieces, and the powerful heart was completely torn in this instant strike.

"One..."

Lorenzo whispered, then quickly withdrew the Nail Sword, rapidly closing in on the next angel. He moved with such speed, it seemed as if he were about to take flight.

He had the power to suppress the angels now, but what was more important, Lorenzo was contemplating whether to invade the angels' gaps.

Watson's warnings kept flashing, urging Lorenzo to stop, but he was reluctant to give up such an opportunity. However, he knew this could lead to bad consequences, such as raising his priority level.

If that were the case, today's battle wouldn't just end with William's death; these monsters might relentlessly pursue him.

"Lorenzo!"

Bola shouted loudly, and the Sword Dancer fired towards Lorenzo. This was the last armor firearm, the roaring Dragon Breath pierced vertically through the workshop.

While Lorenzo was contemplating and slaughtering, the angels from behind had surrounded him. Several Spiral Long Nails viciously stabbed through the armor and penetrated Lorenzo's body. Luckily, it wasn't a fatal wound; Lorenzo slashed the angel in front of him in fury, then turned to sever the Spiral Long Nails.

The roaring Dragon Breath arrived late, enveloping the angels from above, washing over them like a fiery torrent.

Seizing this gap, Lorenzo yanked out the broken Spiral Long Nail from his body, as if he couldn't feel the pain, and then hurled it out, piercing through one angel after another, pushing them into the flowing fire, pinning them to the ground.

Taking a deep breath, the blazing Purifying Flame broke free from the constraints of the armor, like a surging tide, instantly covering the entire bottom of the workshop. They rushed along the steel, penetrated into the gaps, and erupted from the Thunder Group created breaches.

A grappling hook shot out from the burning sea, embedding into the edge of the platform. Lorenzo grabbed the handle of the gun, pulled up by the cable out of the sea of fire, ascending as pieces of armor fell off, clanging into the fire below.

"William, think carefully, any intel, even if you come up with it now, just say it quickly, we can't hold on much longer."

Lorenzo panted heavily, striding forward. Faced with such undead enemies, he really couldn't think of any good way to solve this, all he could do was knock them down again and again, but everyone knew they would return soon.
