Chapter 351: Ruan Chanchan schemed against us!

A sneering voice echoed in the cave and everyone turned to look at the person behind them. Ruan Chanchan turned and glanced at the mer who was speaking and pursed her lips in silence. She knew that Elder Huo was going to cause trouble for her but seriously. She wondered whether she had stolen the underpants of an elderly person or something because why were these elders coming after her one after another?

It was as if she was being targeted for being disrespectful toward an elder. An elder, huh? She recalled her mother and father from her first life and her lips twitched. Ah, how could she forget that she had once driven poor old Madam Mo to an early death? Maybe this was why she could never get along with these elders. She pursed her lips and then said to Elder Huo, "My dear customer, you should at least wait a second for me to finish putting up things before announcing to the world that I have failed. If you are so quick to judge, what would happen to me?"

Ruan Chanchan was not at all worried that the mer would make things difficult for her but she was indeed a little concerned about Rong Xian’s reaction. If this mer decided that the kangs were of no use before she could even display her strength, then she was worried she might never be able to turn things around.

Rong Xian pursed his lips in a thin line. He did not say anything and simply watched Ruan Chanchan busying around.

When Ruan Chanchan saw that the prince had not said anything to stop her, she immediately heaved a sigh of relief and started putting the coal that she had collected earlier from the supermarket system. She loaded the underside of the kang with the coal and then used a small torch to light up the coal inside the bed. Once the flames were ignited, Ruan Chanchan heaved a sigh of relief. As long as the kang was heated well, there should be no problem for her to get an alliance with the Killer Whale Tribe.

"What’s going on?" Elder Huo did not want Ruan Chanchan to succeed. If not for the fact that he had no idea how to deal with this thing, he would have ruined Ruan Chanchan’s plan long ago, but he had no idea how to ruin this thing because he had never seen it before. And he had no idea how it worked. He even captured the scout that worked on it and made her spit out everything that she knew but nothing that came out of her mouth was of use.

He could only turn his attention to Ruan Chanchan but this woman! She was so sly that she always acted alone, even this morning. She went off to who knows where and no one was able to find her.

If the old mer knew that Ruan Chanchan was in her cave throughout the entire time, he would be so angry that he would spit up a mouthful of blood. "Just give it a few minutes," said Ruan Chanchan even though she knew that the mer was deliberately pressing her, she did not show it on her face. She simply pursed her lips and waited for the kang to heat up. Behind her, Elder Huo rolled his eyes as if he did not believe that this thing was even going to work. However, just as he was about to mock Ruan Chanchan again, the latter turned to look at Rong Xian and said to him, "It is done; please take a look, your highness."

Ruan Chanchan stepped aside and urged Rong Xian to get on top of the kang. At first Rong Xian was a bit hesitant but after he thought about it a little, he realised that as the prince of the tribe, he needed to show a bit more courage and immediately took the first step. When Ruan Chanchan saw that the mer had taken the first step, she heaved a sigh of relief. Fortunately, the mer was willing to listen to her or else she would be in grave trouble. She stepped to one side and let the mer climb on top of the kang.

At first nothing seemed to happen but then—

"What—what kind of miraculous thing is this?" If Rong Xian had not seen it with his own eyes, he would have never expected that such a thing was possible. He looked down at the heated bed and did not know what to think. He turned to look at Ruan Chanchan and asked, "Can you make more of these things?"

"I have already taught how to make the kang beds to your scouts, your highness. They now know not only how to make bricks but they also know how to make kangs; they will help you out in the future. As for coal, you can always ask someone to come to the big bear tribe and take it away from me."

Ruan Chanchan was calm as she replied to the prince but as soon as she finished speaking, Elder Huo snapped his fingers and said, "aha, so this is where you were waiting for us."

Elder Huo then turned to look at the prince and said to him, "You see how flawlessly and seamlessly she executed her plan, your highness. She first promised us that she would help you but this is what she wanted to do, she wanted our tribe to rely on her little, shady tribe!"
