Chapter 233: Storms Gather Before the Tomb

Storms Gather Before the Tomb

After a little silence, Rias spoke in a voice filled with concern.

"Senior Sister, do you think Teacher will encounter any danger inside?"

Her red eyes remained fixed on the giant entrance of the Martial Emperor Tomb. The golden ripples flowing across its surface reflected faintly in her eyes. The usual brightness on her face had gradually disappeared, replaced by uneasiness.

Ever since hearing Leon had entered before everyone else, her thoughts had been in chaos.

The more she thought about it, the more restless she became.

Selena stood beside her quietly.

The wind brushed through her silver-white hair as she looked at the distant entrance.

Her expression remained calm.

Too calm.

Yet those who knew her well could notice the tiny changes.

Her fingers had unconsciously tightened around her sword.

She shook her head gently.

"No, Teacher is so strong. He won’t encounter any danger."

Her answer came immediately.

There was almost no hesitation.

Because in her heart, Leon had already become an existence she subconsciously trusted.

Every impossible thing somehow became possible when it involved him.

Harry Taylor noticed the atmosphere becoming heavy and immediately stepped forward with a grin.

"Sister Selena, Sister Rias, don’t worry." He waved his hand dramatically. "How could Senior encounter danger with his strength and his smart mind? Even if he encountered it, he would be able to resolve it in time."

He folded his arms and nodded seriously.

"He’ll be fine."

Then his eyes swept toward the countless figures gathered around them.

"You guys should think about what to do later. Did you see? The appearance of the Martial Emperor Tomb this time has alarmed almost half of the famous Powerful Sects in the Forsaken Domain. Many experts who had not been seen for many years, geniuses who had been famous for a long time, almost all came."

The moment those words fell, Selena’s attention shifted.

She looked around slowly.

Only now did she truly begin observing the crowd.

The sky above was filled with powerful auras.

Ancient flying beasts crossed through clouds.

Sword lights flashed endlessly.

Figures stood proudly in the air.

Many faces were unfamiliar.

Yet among them—

A few people immediately caught her attention.

The Heavenly Saint, Rex Vine.

The Saintess of the Soft Water Divine Sect, Fairy Fiona.

As well as Gavin of Three Crowned Blossoms Academy.

Selena fell into deep thought.

Looking at such people, she would probably have felt pressure.

Distance.

A gap impossible to bridge.

But now—

Things had changed.

Leon had personally guided her cultivation.

He had opened roads she once thought impossible.

He had given her confidence.

And strength.

When the Martial Emperor Tomb truly opened...

These people might become her opponents.

The true competition had not even started yet.

Soon, everyone would know who truly stood at the peak among the younger generation.

Selena’s eyes slowly sharpened.

Confidence gradually appeared.

During this period, she had remained in secluded cultivation.

Her strength had continuously improved.

She had also successfully mastered the Hell Maw Strike.

She slowly looked toward the geniuses in the distance.

A rare smile appeared on her usually calm face.

Inside her heart, she whispered quietly—

"Don’t worry..."

"I definitely won’t lose."

"I won’t bring shame to Amethyst Summit Division... and I won’t disappoint Teacher."

Beside her, unlike Selena’s quiet determination, Rias looked completely relaxed.

Her eyes wandered around casually as she observed the crowd gathering from every direction.

"Yeah..." she muttered with a small nod. "There really are a lot of experts this time."

Her gaze swept across several distant groups before she continued,

"There are plenty of famous geniuses too. Nearly every renowned academy and powerful sect has sent people here." A faint smile curved her lips. "It’s honestly a pretty rare sight."

The moment she finished speaking, Harry immediately puffed out his chest.

"Tch. Who cares what genius they are?" he said confidently.

"In my eyes, Sister Selena can crush every single one of them."

"She’s a true genius."

Selena instantly rolled her eyes at him.

Her expression practically screamed—

Can you stop dragging me into your shameless praise?

Rias crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes.

"Oh?"

"And what about me?"

"You only have your Sister Selena in your eyes?"

"Am I that bad?"

Harry’s expression changed immediately.

"Hehe—of course not!"

"Sister Rias is amazing too!"

Then he suddenly rubbed his chin and grinned shamelessly.

"But..." he said while pointing proudly at himself, "I don’t think I’m bad either."

He raised his head slightly.

"I have the potential to become a Martial Emperor Realm expert."

Silence.

The girls stared at him.

Amaya slowly turned her head away.

Even the students from Holy Water Division looked elsewhere as if they suddenly found the sky extremely interesting.

Not a single person spoke.

Harry blinked.

"...What?"

A gust of wind blew by.

Somewhere in the distance, even a bird let out an awkward cry.

Harry stared blankly at everyone.

"...Hey."

"...Why does it suddenly feel like I got abandoned?"

Suddenly—

A cold, disdainful voice came from behind.

"Heh, what’s wrong with this world? Any certified background character dares to say that they have the potential to become Martial Emperor experts?"

The moment those words were spoken—

Everyone frowned.

Harry’s expression immediately darkened.

Slowly turning around, he looked toward the speaker.

A young man had appeared nearby.

He wore an elegant ink-black robe.

His features were handsome.

His eyes carried obvious arrogance.

His expression seemed to naturally look down upon everyone around him.

Harry froze when he saw the person.

"Prison Holy Sect... Lavish..."
