Lu Xiaomei shyly said to Xu Xiangbei and Gu Xinyan, "I’m taking Hua Ji to watch my cousin’s ball game, we won’t be back for lunch."

Walking along the path within the complex, smelling the fresh air with a faint floral fragrance, Gu Xinyan felt particularly comfortable.

The chirping of birds, flowers in bloom, and lush greenery made for an environment she loved.

Pushing the wheelchair, Xu Xiangbei gently whispered in her ear, "Since you went to the film set, it’s been a long time since I’ve taken you for a walk in the neighborhood."

The bedroom was floored with solid wood, with a simple and heavy color palette, offering a soft and comfortable feeling underfoot.

What delighted Gu Xinyan most was that the villa had its elevator.

She most loved the top floor because the view was the best there; all the flowers, grass, and trees were in view, the air was fresh, and the sunlight was abundant.

But living on the top floor was most challenging due to mobility issues; going downstairs was hard, even though she still persevered in her exercises. It would take a long time until she could freely go up and down the stairs.

With an elevator in the villa, everything was resolved.

So, after viewing the villa, she insisted on staying on the top floor, and for this, she was as excited as a child receiving a beloved toy, even her eyes slightly moist.

Seeing Gu Xinyan so happy, Xu Xiangbei felt very pleased too.

They took the elevator to the fourth floor, walked through the small living room, and came to the balcony on the fourth floor.

The large glass bay window made the house warm like spring, and on the balcony were a pair of rustic rattan chairs, creating a vintage countryside atmosphere.

A pair of magpies flew away from the balcony window, chirping pleasantly, drawing elegant arcs in the air, before landing on a not-too-distant osmanthus tree.
