Chapter 303: New Inspiration
Chapter 303: New Inspiration
The small grove was a place where Ouyang Yude specifically trained with the Iron Gall, traces of the Iron Gall could be seen everywhere.
Walking among them, Xu Xiangbei felt as if he could see Ouyang Yude’s fingers fluttering up and down here, with four brilliant Iron Balls performing dazzling aerial dances like meteors and lightning.
The grove was like a pilgrim’s Holy Land, and just being in it, one could sense miracles, with inspiration flowing in like a tide, making him exhilarated.
The sky had already turned dark, visibility in the grove was very low, and without knowing when, the sky began to be shrouded in thick clouds, blocking the starlight, so much so that not a finger could be seen in front of him.
Ouyang Yude illuminated the way for Xu Xiangbei with a flashlight, pointing at the dents on the small tree trunks: "These are the dents I made while practicing the four Iron Gall throws. Last time, I already taught you the training method for the four Iron Gall throws. It’s multidimensional and can only be trained through fantasized imaging. These dents should give you more insight."
Touching the dents on the tree trunks, others might feel just a dent, but for Xu Xiangbei, it conjured up images of the Iron Balls slicing through the night sky and striking the tree trunks, with the Iron Balls rebounding and forming new paths.
Every time he touched a dent, his mind would fill with several Iron Gall trajectory maps, crossing, running parallel, and intertwining within the grove.
Xu Xiangbei felt as if he became a center of the universe. The flight paths of those Iron Balls seemed like the orbits of countless planets in the universe, with himself as the central point of these stellar operations.
Suddenly, the sky began to drizzle, the wind and rain gradually escalating. The wind roared beside him like a giant dragon, followed by a deafening clap of thunder and a glaring flash of lightning, cleaving the sky like an incomparably sharp Samurai Saber.
Xu Xiangbei’s heart was suddenly illuminated, as if he had captured something from the lightning. With a flick of his wrist, he launched four Iron Balls into the air, the sound of their clashing echoing in the darkness.
Though he couldn’t see each collision, Xu Xiangbei could feel its trajectory, etching a brilliant trace in his heart like lightning.
In the villa, Ouyang Jiahui and Xiao Lin saw the torrential rain outside, with wind and rain intertwined, and lightning flashing, causing them to worry about Xu Xiangbei.
Ouyang Jiahui asked, "Dad, where is Xu Xiangbei?"
Ouyang Yude took off his glasses, glancing at a flash of lightning that had just flared outside the window, his eyes filled with anxiety.
The quick blade of Xiao Ye in the video was like the lightning in the night sky outside, causing one’s heart to tremble. He absentmindedly replied, "He’s out practicing."
Ouyang Jiahui asked in confusion, "In such heavy rain, he’s still practicing outside? Won’t he be soaked like a drowned rat?"
Xiao Lin had a worried expression: "Should I take him an umbrella?"
Ouyang Yude said meaningfully, "Don’t bother him. A little rain now is nothing. If he can’t withstand an enemy’s attack, it will be troublesome. Don’t disturb him."
Ouyang Jiahui glanced at the clock in the house, it was already ten o’clock at night. Since Xu Xiangbei had gone to the grove with her dad, he had been there for three hours.
Since her dad reminded her not to disturb Xu Xiangbei, Ouyang Jiahui continued watching TV in the living room. After a while, she surprisingly found that Xiao Lin was gone, and two umbrellas were missing from the umbrella stand by the door.
She exclaimed in surprise, "That girl actually ran out into the stormy night; when did she become so bold?"
She remembered that whenever there was a storm, Xiao Lin would secretly come to her room, finding an excuse to chat and stay with herself, because Xiao Lin was afraid of thunder and lightning.
Xiao Lin, holding an umbrella, with another umbrella in hand, wanted to take an umbrella to Xu Xiangbei.
She had just left the villa and hadn’t gone far when a roaring gust of wind blew in, flipping her umbrella and blowing it away somewhere, with the wind hurling rain into her clothes.
A flash of lightning split the night sky, illuminating the land in a blinding white.
Xiao Lin screamed in fright, turning to run back to the villa, but as she just took two steps, suddenly lost her balance and fell forward. She didn’t know where she threw the umbrella in her hand.
Just as she was about to fall, a strong hand caught her, pulling her into a warm embrace.
The chest was so familiar, causing her to develop a dependence instinctively.
"In such heavy rain, what are you doing running out? Quickly go back."
It was Xu Xiangbei’s voice. Xiao Lin’s heart, which was about to leap out of her throat, finally calmed down, tightly pressing against his warm chest, listening to that strong and melodious heartbeat.
She felt that Xu Xiangbei was like a holy Angel, pulling her from the freezing, terrifying darkness of Hell back to a warm heaven.
Together, they ran back to the villa.
Xiao Lin’s purple wrap-around skirt was completely drenched, almost becoming transparent and sticking tightly to her body, highlighting her graceful and alluring curves, with her small black lace undergarment fully exposed.
Xu Xiangbei looked at Xiao Lin’s enticing body and couldn’t help but swallow a big gulp of saliva, Xiao Lin blushing as he stared at her.
Suddenly, Xiao Lin realized that although Xu Xiangbei had stayed in the rain for a long time, his clothes weren’t soaked much, while she was entirely drenched, with her curves fully visible.
She asked Xu Xiangbei in confusion, "You’ve been out in the rain for so long and didn’t get wet much?"
Xu Xiangbei, staring at Xiao Lin’s enchanting and beautiful body, swallowed his saliva while wickedly smiling, "Do you think I’m like you? Using an umbrella and still getting drenched like a drowned chicken. The trees in the grove are so dense, they’re like big umbrellas, so the rain hasn’t reached me."
Ouyang Jiahui saw Xiao Lin soaked, with her skirt becoming semi-transparent, and quickly handed over a warm, clean towel, one to wipe off the water and one to cover her key areas.
She drove away Xu Xiangbei who was staring fixedly at Xiao Lin, reminding, "Hey pretty girl, you’re giving everyone a free show. I really admire you, you were scared of thunderstorms, so how did you dare run out into the rain?"
Xiao Lin blushing, her wet hair draped over her chest, gracefully towel-drying her hair.
She wasn’t concerned about how her clothes got soaked, but was worried that her freshly styled hair would lose its shape from the rain.
Her smile remained elegant as always, "I just wanted to bring an umbrella to Brother Xu."
Ouyang Jiahui pointed to Xu Xiangbei, who was barely wet, and mocked her, "You wanted to bring an umbrella to Brother Xu? Brother Xu’s situation is much better than yours. I’ll cook some ginger soup for you later, otherwise, with your condition, you’ll definitely catch a cold tomorrow morning."
Xiao Lin and Ouyang Jiahui went back upstairs together, Xiao Lin asking in confusion, "Is the grove behind your house really dense like a giant umbrella?"
Ouyang Jiahui burst into laughter, "Why do you say that? The small grove is full of not-so-tall young trees; it’s not dense at all, how could it be like a big umbrella?"
Xiao Lin’s eyes flickered with confusion, "It’s nothing, I was just asking casually."
