After Lu Yan was taken away by security, applause came from behind Xu Xiangbei. An old man wearing a yellow Versace suit, with a cigar in his mouth and a lace tie, with youthful silver hair, applauded Xu Xiangbei.

Xu Xiangbei felt cheerful inside. If President Huang could help, the matter of Gu Xinyan as the female lead might really succeed.

"Her name is Gu Xinyan, she is disabled and comes from Jiangcheng."

President Huang’s face showed a hint of regret; he shook his head: "You mean Miss Gu, who was in the wheelchair. I watched her performance earlier in the conference room; she acted quite well, but still slightly lacks the flair needed for the leading role. She didn’t pass the audition."

Xu Xiangbei wasn’t surprised since Gu Xinyan had never acted before; suddenly letting her play the leading role was unrealistic.

President Huang seemed confident: "If you win, I guarantee your Gu Xinyan will play the leading role, but if you lose, sorry, at most I’ll cover your medical expenses."

A black extended Cadillac slowly drove up; the window rolled down, and several charming faces emerged. A quick count showed at least five beauties inside.

As Dongfang Bai predicted, all those who auditioned for the leading lady role went home awaiting notification; the result wasn’t announced yet.

Gu Xinyan’s expression was not bright, her eyes filled with unease, like a child who made a mistake, tightly clutching her clothes.
