Gorgeous Female Tenants

Chapter 107: Badminton Hall

Chapter 107: Badminton Hall

Director Wu quickly made a decision and sneered cunningly.

He employed his best skill, the divine art of flattery, and said to Xu Xiangbei, "Dr. Xu, you truly have the heart of a healer. Despite your young age, your thoughts are great, selfless, and noble. You are dedicated to thinking about the students’ health. We are in awe and can’t match up. Of course, I can’t ignore your request. I’m willing to offend people just to learn from you and be a teacher who does real work for the students."

No wonder he is the Director of the Jiangcheng University office. His flattery skills are unparalleled, not only flattering Xu Xiangbei but also turning himself from a petty person to a gentleman.

Xu Xiangbei, choked by his own cigarette, gave a thumbs-up: "Cough, cough, I admire your skills. I always thought I was the most shameless person in the world, but after meeting you, I realized there are always people better than you, and I still have a lot to learn from you at Jiangcheng University, Director Wu."

Director Wu smiled awkwardly, while beside him, Ding Keke couldn’t help but cover her mouth laughing uncontrollably.

The lack of attention to the infirmary is not just Director Wu’s problem; it’s the result of a lack of attention from top to bottom.

Although Director Wu is a bit slick, he works very quickly, promptly writing a report that summarized all the issues and suggestions raised by Xu Xiangbei, proposing solutions.

These issues and suggestions were brought up not only by Xu Xiangbei but also by countless students over the years, yet they were always ignored.

After printing the report, Director Wu specifically showed it to Xu Xiangbei.

His small eyes twinkled as he said with a smile, "Dr. Xu, I’ve included all your concerns in the report, but I’m afraid the school leaders might not pay attention. However, if you want to get the school leaders’ attention, I have a way. You’re a doctor sent by the hospital, so if this report is submitted by you to Principal Zhou, he won’t dare ignore it."

Xu Xiangbei smiled, "Director Wu, I know you’re afraid of offending people. I’m not. I’ll submit this to Principal Zhou in my name and take responsibility for it."

Director Wu’s small eyes shone shrewdly, "Dr. Xu, you really understand the big picture, fearless and daring."

After exchanging a few pleasantries, Director Wu added Xu Xiangbei’s name to the report and went to Principal Zhou’s office with it.

Principal Zhou held Director Wu’s report; he’d seen similar reports years ago, and those ended up in the trash can at the corner of his desk.

His gaze stopped on Xu Xiangbei’s name, which was the difference from previous reports, including a new name: "Is this Dr. Xu’s suggestion?"

Director Wu looked helpless, "Yes, after all, he’s sent by the People’s Hospital, immediately spotting serious problems in our infirmary, hence these specific suggestions."

Principal Zhou nodded, his expression relaxed on the surface, studying the report while his mind worked quickly. Dr. Xu is friends with Secretary Qin, and offending him would mean offending Secretary Qin.

He couldn’t afford to ruin his years of hard work at this late stage.

He quickly agreed to the report and specifically instructed Director Wu, "Dr. Xu’s suggestions are excellent. Why haven’t you noticed these? Sometimes, I really worry about your working abilities. The infirmary’s issues are severe and urgent. If you lack funds, go to finance and get some. If you need people, find them, and make sure these issues are resolved within three days."

Director Wu smiled bitterly to himself, realizing everyone already knew, and he had noticed these issues two years ago. Bringing it up again felt pointless, only adding to his sorrow.

He put the report away and continued, "Principal Zhou, as per your instructions, I booked the Champion Scholar Hall at Champion Scholar Tower, tonight at 7 PM."

"Alright, inform Section Chief Chen from the Health Bureau."

Xu Xiangbei drank tea, smoked a cigarette, and looked out the glass window, watching students play basketball. He and Ding Keke occasionally mocked the clumsy actions of certain players.

Suddenly, his eyes lit up as he saw the silver Porsche he’d noticed earlier at the school gate parked in front of the badminton hall.

He couldn’t help but feel intrigued again and pulled Ding Keke along, "Principal Zhou is treating us to dinner tonight. Since it’s not dinner time yet, let’s play badminton at the gym first."

Ding Keke, who used to love playing badminton at medical school, felt nostalgia for campus life at Jiangcheng University and readily agreed.

Passing by the basketball court, Xu Xiangbei noticed Cao Fang playing basketball.

Xu Xiangbei and Ding Keke stood out on campus. Xu Xiangbei wasn’t very noticeable alone, but with a pretty and delicate-looking nurse like Ding Keke in pink scrubs beside him, they were quite eye-catching.

Cao Fang was feeling proud, ready to make a shot, but upon seeing a slender beauty in a nurse’s uniform, he couldn’t help but feel delighted and wanted to take a few more looks. However, he noticed Xu Xiangbei staring at him from the side.

His expression changed instantly, and he trembled in shock, missing the shot, which made his teammates laugh at him.

"Cao Fang, how on earth did you miss such a close shot?"

"You were too busy looking at the pretty girl again. Can’t you focus on the game?"

The ball rolled to Xu Xiangbei’s feet. He hooked the ball into his hand with his foot.

Standing at the edge of the court, still a yard from the boundary line.

He gently raised the basketball and did a high-arc shot, making it through the hoop neatly, earning cheers.

He smiled slightly at Cao Fang, "Play the game properly and don’t get distracted."

Hearing Xu Xiangbei’s admonishment, Cao Fang felt a bit dissatisfied, but he knew he couldn’t compete with Xu Xiangbei’s basketball skills, so he had no choice but to shake his head helplessly.

The tall guy nearby walked over with a scared expression. He’d been reprimanded by Xu Xiangbei before and still felt a lingering fear, whispering, "Cao Fang, is that really him? How did he come back and even brought a pretty nurse?"

Cao Fang glared at the tall guy, "Just play the game. What’s it to you? If he doesn’t bother us, we won’t bother him, although this guy does seem quite popular with women. That nurse is really pretty."

Xu Xiangbei and Ding Keke arrived at the badminton hall. The rubber court was well-built, wide and smooth, with as many as twelve badminton courts.

There were many people playing in the gym, people of all ages, playing singles or doubles, smashing aggressively or making light passes, all in full swing.

Watching others engrossed in the game, Ding Keke also felt the itch to join. But she glanced around and realized that all the badminton courts were occupied. There were no available courts.

Feeling a bit disappointed, she tugged on Xu Xiangbei’s arm, "There’s no court available. Let’s go."

Xu Xiangbei, glancing around, hoped to catch sight of the Porsche beauty and wanted to stay a bit longer.

He chuckled, "Wait a bit; I think a court will soon be available. Keke, I’m a bit thirsty. There’s a small supermarket nearby. Why don’t you go buy some bottled water? I’ll wait here for you."
