Chapter 95
Chapter 95
Cherry
It was time to tell Dylan what had exactly happened in Maldives.
"Before we went to meet the local police offier that morning, I found long, dark green hair outside our room. It looks exactly the same as Chelsea's hair. And the stalker smelled the same as Chelsea.”
"You mean Chelsea had been stalking us back in Maldives?” Dylan's pupils were dilated.
“Yes, I'm one hundred percent sure it was her. It's just I cannot figure out why she did that. We didn't even know her back then." Frustration was coming back to me again.
"Maybe she had known us." Dylan started suddenly after a long silence. "Other than her hair and scent, did you find anything else special about Chelsea?"
"No. You?" I was clueless despite racking my brains in an attempt to figure out something useful.
Dylan shook his head at me as well.
"Wait!" He sat up in excitement abruptly. "Her eyes! I always find her eyes familiar, as if I've seen them..."
"You're right! The eyes!" It all clicked.
"Chelsea has the same cold and piercing eyes as Lucy. Bert and I had suspected that Chelsea could actually be Lucy. But we didn't have the time or resources to look into this matter when you still suffer..." I trailed off.
"Your guess makes sense. It's time we'll dig everything out this time!" Dylan's voice became cold as he took me into his arms.

Next day.
"Cherry!" My father took me into a warm hug after arriving at the pack house early in the morning. Bert had told him about the reunion of my small family.
"Dad, I missed you." I held him tight.
"I'm proud of you, kid. You're just as resilient as your mom, never failing your duty as a Starsmoon member."
“Let me guess where I'll find Starsmoon's bravest member.” Heather's voice sounded just as my dad was plastering a kiss on my head before leaving.
"Heather!" I left dad's hug at the sight of Heather and Chris in the house, my eyes sparking with joy.
“Come here, my hero!” Heather opened her arms to me. “I knew you'd bring back the old Dylan. I'd never doubted that. Now here we are!”
"Where are our little pups?" Chris patted on my shoulders while looking around the house.
“Oliver is with Dylan.” I smiled at Chris. "He's got quite a lot to catch up after what happened over the past few months.”
“Chelsea and Hugo are still at large, right?” My word reminded Chris of the potential threats we were exposed to.
"Yes." I nodded. "Bill will be a helping hand in this too."
"Really? That's really big of him." Heather smiled, reminiscing something from the past. "Lune used to be one of our strongest rival. Both packs desire to expand businesses and territories.”
“It's never occured to me that Lune and Starsmoon would join hands one day.” Chris added, resting his hand on the back of his mate. "And you're the one who made it a reality, kid."
“Pops, Nana!” We turned to the door as Fern's excited voice sounded. She ran over towards Heather while Dylan went inside with Oliver in his arms.
Chris took Oliver from Dylan while Heather ran her finger on Fern's braid.
"Nuu-Chah bless us. We're finally back together again!" Heather was overjoyed.
"How about we throw a celebration party tomorrow? And you announce Cherry as Luna by then. It's time to get everything back on track with Starsmoon." She then turned to Dylan.
"Sure! I'd long wanted that." Dylan looked down in frustration. "But there's a tricky thing here. I haven't rejected Chelsea in face. And I wanna do that before the announcement. I want a complete break with those terrible days."
"That's indeed an issue." Heather sounded a little bit discouraged as she looked to Chris.
"There's a special ritual that can help you with this. But you'll have to suffer a bit from it." Chris finally spoke out after struggling for quite a few seconds.
"I'm more than willing to suffer anything as long as I can announce Cherry as my Luna earlier." Dylan's eyes glistened in hope and excitement.
"Go and pray to Nuu-Chah at midnight. She'll deliver your message to Chelsea."
"Great! I'll do that tonight." Dylan couldn't wait to get started.
"Okay. Then Chris and I'll go and prepare for the ceremony tomorrow." Heather was happy about that too.

Dylan
Late at night on the balcony.
Waiting for the night to fall alone, I'd never felt time went by so lowly.
Just as my patience was running out, the full moon finally made its appearance in the sky, crystal clear with a halo.
"There it is!" Suppressing the strong beat in my chest, I took a deep breath.
Closing my eyes, I cut through my palm and murmured a prayer that led me to the temple of the Moon Goddess.
“Nuu-Chah.” I bowed and kissed her feet as she stood in front of me, like she had been waiting for me.
“Glad to see you, Dylan my kid. What can I do for you?" Nuu-Chah helped me up gracefully.
"I want you to do me a favor by delivering a message to Chelsea. Please tell her and her wolf that I'm severing any possible link between her and me. Because I'm gonna re-bond with my true mate Cherry.”
"Oh, my special wolf Cherry? Wise choice. But before agreeing to be your messenger, I have a question for you." The Moon Goddess smiled mysteriously.
"Sure!" I could answer as many as one hundred questions as long as she nodded to my request.
"Do you think you can still recognize your true mate even when her wolf is in a different body or she wears another face?”
“Yes. Not even you can block the bond that we have for each other.” I answered stoutly, though stunned by her question.
“You sure about that?”
“Cannot be more sure, Nuu-Chah.” Nothing could change my answer.
"Great!" With that, the Moon Goddess snapped her finger. Then my eyelids opened.
I found myself back in the bedroom and Cherry was asleep beside me. She took my bandaged hand before her chest.
