Chapter 120

Giovanni's Perspective

I came out of the tent after I felt Tobias' presence outside.

"Did you use the drug on her?" He asked. I shook my head and threw the small bottle at him.

"I told you I won't need this," I said. He looked over my shoulder.

"Is she in the tent? What if Fern wakes up on the way to Dark Howl?" He asked.

I walked to the tent and he followed me.

"Get her. We need to leave the ground before someone from the Starsmoon pack comes to pick her up," I said to Tobias. He saluted to me.

Tobias carried Fern in bridal style. His eyes popped when he saw the mark on her neck.

"Alpha what the.... did you do this? Were you the one who marked her?" He asked, further inspecting the wound on Fern's neck.

"Aurora will be furious when she finds out that you claimed Fern as your mate."

I grabbed my shirt from the ground, "Aurora will understand. She knew that she was the one that I loved, and marking Fern meant nothing to me. It's something that I need to do to make sure that Fern will stay with me. It's part of my plan."

Tobias barked a mocking laugh.

"I'm not sure whether we're talking about the same Auora, but the Aurora that I knew won't let you mark another she-wolf slide, especially that she had begging you for years to mark her." I glared at Tobias. He acted like he was zipping his mouth.

"Bind her to the bed with the silver chains," I said. Tobias looked at the delta and signaled them to follow me.

"Is this necessary?" Tobias asked.

"Look at her frame, Alpha. I think chaining Fern with a regular chain would be enough—"

"Fern is Cherry and Dylan's daughter. They are Nuu-Chaah's favorite shifter. I know better than to underestimate anyone from that forsaken family," I muttered.

I couldn't help but clench my jaw seeing Fern smile in her sleep.

"Sleep well, kid. This night will be the last that you'd have such peaceful sleep," I whispered scratching her cheek with my claw. Seeing blood drawn from the scratch sated and tortured me.

I could go and take revenge on her parents, but there won't be satisfaction and I knew that if I get back at them through Fern it would kill her damn parents twice as much.

I held my tears and stared directly at the dagger that was an inch away from my pupils.

"What else did you do to my daughter?!" He screamed, his hold on my neck tightening.

Running out of air, I touched myself. Fern was my mate, she was born for me, and I won't let Alpha Dylan forbid me from claiming her.

"Nothing, Alpha. I didn't do anything to Fern that she didn't want."

"Fern is just a kid! She's only eleven—"

"And so do I! I'm just a kid too, but look at how you're threatening me!"

"Dylan!" Luna Cherry screamed, shocked to see the Alpha ruthlessly cutting my left cheek. Luna Cherry pulled him from me.

"You ungrateful bastard! After we adopted and took care of you? This is how you'll repay us? You'd mess up and ruin my daughter's reputation?" He screamed. I don't think anyone has seen the Alpha of the starsmoon fuming.

"It's the Moon Goddess that you should be mad at for making Fern my fated mate, Alpha, not me. It's not my fault, I'm only doing what I'm fated to do, there is nothing you can do. Fern is mine." Luna Cherry struggled to stop her mate from coming at me.

"Let go of me, Cherry. I will kill that bastard! I won't let Fern's life fall to the abyss and be damned because of some young rogue that we adopted!"

"If I know that you'd desire my daughter like this. I'll never let you in on my pack, I'd let you die on the wall!" Alpha Dylan slips away from her mate's hold of me.

He runs straight to me and cuts me near my pulse. I fell to my knees, holding my neck as blood dripped my body.

"Dylan, oh my God!" Luna Cherry. Alpha Dylan pulled Luna Cherry from me.

"That is no son of yours, Cherry. I'm sending him to the wall."

"But Dylan!"

"We will send Giovanni on the wall. If we don't let him die, Fern will live a miserable life because of him. Do you want that for our daughter?" Alpha Dylan sounded like a heartless beast, showing no mercy towards me as he asked Luna Cherry that.

She shakes her head, choosing Cherry over the dying little me.

A knock on the door snapped me out of remembering those damn memories.

"Fern is awake and like you commanded. I brought her to the plaza." Tobias' forehead knotted.

"What would you do to that woman this time, Alpha?"

The door busted open, and an angry she-wolf marched in.

"Why does Fern have your mark, Giovanni?"

I kissed Aurora on her forehead yet her anger didn't falter.

"You just can't kiss your way out of this, Giovanni! I thought I was the one you love?"

"Yes, yes, babe. I chose you over her." I sighed and held her shoulder.

"Will deal with you later, babe. I have to do something."

Seeing me headed to her. Fern immediately understood what was going on.

"You t-tricked me?" She asked. I noticed the bruises on her wrist caused by the silver chains that made her weak.

"Everything that happened last night. It was part of your revenge," she said. I smirked at Fern and she scoffs.

"Aren't you going to beg for me to let go of you? Aren't you going to plead for your freedom?" Fern clenched her jaw. Her eyes hardened, hatred filled them.

"I'm an Alpha's daughter and Nuu-Chaah's special shifter. I'd never beg and plead to the likes of you, Giovanni!" she muttered spitefully.

"So, you're just as prideful as your father. Very well."

I stood up straight.

"I, Giovanni Connor, Alpha of Dark Howl Pack declared Fern Romano as the newest lowly omega of my pack."
