Game World: I Can Share Talents

Chapter 178 - 176: You Jump to Conclusions Because You Don’t Understand Mivana

Chapter 178 - 176: You Jump to Conclusions Because You Don’t Understand Mivana

By the time Yolanda arrived at Westheid’s bedside, he was already awake, exchanging a wide-eyed stare with his sister.

But he couldn’t get up.

That was because the Wolf-eared Maiden was clinging tightly to him. Her slender, fair arms were wrapped around Westheid’s neck, her beautiful face pressed against his chest. Her purple-black hair was splayed out, and the soft, dense white fur on the inside of her pricked-up ears would occasionally scratch Westheid’s cheek as they twitched.

Her lips were slightly parted, revealing sharp canine teeth. They were so sharp that a mere touch against Westheid’s skin could draw blood, which would then trickle naturally into the Beast-eared Maiden’s mouth—a testament to their incredible sharpness.

Westheid had tried to move Mivana’s arms, but found she had him locked in a vice-like grip. He abandoned the idea and decided to wait quietly for the Wolf-eared Maiden to wake up naturally.

It was best not to wrestle with an unconscious Mivana. That was a valuable lesson Westheid had paid for in blood.

Westheid could only press a finger to his lips, silently asking her to wait a little longer.

Mivana kept a fairly regular sleep schedule. Or perhaps it was Yolanda’s scent in the room. In any case, the Wolf-eared Maiden woke up soon after.

"Mmm... Teacher West."

Mumbling groggily, Mivana stretched languidly in the bed.

Westheid asked, "Did you rest well?"

Mivana nodded. "I feel completely refreshed. I bet I’ll have plenty of energy for the next week or two."

She then glanced at Yolanda, realizing it was time to discuss serious matters. She stopped cuddling, dove under the covers, and after a moment of squirming, re-emerged fully dressed in a short shirt and hot pants.

"I’ll come find you again next time, Teacher."

’Seriously, could you not use that tone? Anyone overhearing would think *I’m* the one who just got solicited.’

Westheid opened his mouth to say something but then thought better of it. He could only watch as the Lady Knight threw on her trench coat, her wolf tail swishing elegantly as she departed.

The moment Mivana left, Yolanda strode over, pulled Westheid into a sitting position, and crossed her arms.

"Brother," she began, "I’ve been skipping meals and sleep, working day and night to fulfill your outlandish requests, yet you don’t seem to be paying much attention to our domain."

His sister rebuked him bluntly:

"Is fooling around with that Ranger Knight all you ever do? Even if it’s to recruit a powerful ally, you don’t have to go *that* far. What did I say from the very beginning? The moment you saw Miss Mivana, you started thinking with your groin, just as I predicted."

"Do you really think I was enjoying myself?!"

Westheid retorted, incensed. "What do you know of my suffering? You’re making baseless judgments because you don’t understand Mivana!"

’To be fair, my inter—Pah! My *session* with Mivana was an exhausting physical ordeal.’

’If a session with Reiya was a satisfying, all-out battle, then a session with Mivana was like a boss fight. I could only hide behind a small buckler and chip away at her health, carefully watching her every move. I didn’t dare get greedy and go for an extra hit, terrified I’d trigger a counter-attack that would wipe me out in a single combo.’

’I, the Duke Qinghui, could even beat my chest and declare that my "interactions" with Reiya and Mivana contained very little lust. It was more like a clash between worthy opponents.’

’Battle. So exhilarating!’

Yolanda squinted, studying the Patriarch carefully for a moment before she spoke.

"Fine," she conceded. "It seems you do have your hidden struggles, Brother. In any case, the task you assigned me is more or less a success... Honestly, I don’t know how you knew, but I really do have some Talent for Human Alchemy."

"Oh? What’s the specific progress? I’m actually not in a huge rush."

Yolanda said nothing, simply rolling up her sleeve to reveal her wrist and forearm.

The platinum-haired maiden’s skin was snow-white and supple, her limbs perfectly proportioned without a single flaw—a sight Westheid had admired more than enough in the past.

But now, on Yolanda’s forearm, the faint blue veins that were normally visible had been replaced by a clear, fluorescent glow. It was as if moonlight, not blood, now flowed through them.

"I used your bone and blood to perform the implantation ritual, Brother. It’s supposed to be an advanced technique in Human Alchemy, yet I succeeded on the very first attempt. It went so smoothly it was almost unbelievable, but I suppose that’s because of our close blood ties."

Westheid had faith in his sister’s Talent, but he never imagined she would achieve results this quickly.

He couldn’t help but ask, "It’s only been a few days, yet you’ve already accomplished an advanced technique? How did you do it?"

"The Army of Light," she answered. "I referenced the Army of Light."

Yolanda explained, "When you first mentioned it, Brother, I was immediately reminded of the forging techniques used for the Army of Light. I’m no Light Casting Technician, but since both methods involve strengthening through modification, I figured they must be similar. So, I just tried to imitate it, more or less."

"Perfect, Yolanda. You’ve completely grasped the essence of the Imperial way. Homage must be paid where homage is due."

Westheid asked eagerly, "So what are the effects? How does it work?"

Yolanda said with a serious expression, "Using special biological materials to create enhancement components is a fairly common path to strengthening. Many support classes in the Imperial Holy Tree Series can do it. The results, however, are usually limited to boosting basic attributes or inscribing a few unique Techniques. But the ability I obtained after implanting your bone and blood was..."

The platinum-haired maiden held out her hand. A ball of pure Light of Qinghui gradually materialized in her fair palm. The tangible light stretched out, morphing into a spear of brilliant radiance.

"Glowing Radiance..."

Westheid recognized it at a glance. It was, unmistakably, the unique Talent Authority of the Qinghui Clan.

He could use it as well, but ever since acquiring his Tier T0 Talent, he’d never bothered with this ability. It seemed versatile on the surface, but in reality, it was practically useless.

’Except, the Glowing Radiance before him... something seemed off about it. Yolanda’s Light of Qinghui should have been much more brilliant. This faint version looked like it belonged to someone who hadn’t trained in a very long time.’

"It’s Glowing Radiance, but it’s not *my* Glowing Radiance."

Yolanda’s expression was grim. She drew a blade and cut her wrist. Before more than a few drops of crimson blood could fall, the wound had already healed as if it were never there.

She hadn’t used any Healing Technique. The recovery was purely from her own constitution—something far beyond the capabilities of the Qinghui Bloodline.

Now Westheid understood.

Focusing his senses, he realized some kind of link had formed between him and Yolanda, one that allowed him to influence that ball of Light of Qinghui at will.

So Westheid reached out and lightly tapped the Thunder Spear in Yolanda’s palm. It instantly transformed into a mass of lightning, the crackling, contained arcs of electricity giving off an aura of ultimate destruction... just like Dragon Thunder.

"You can obtain abilities and traits similar to mine from my bone and blood materials?"

Yolanda nodded. "Yes. Although it’s completely incomparable to your true abilities, Brother—just a crude and faint imitation—it can, indeed, mimic your power."

’So this is what the "bloodline connection" aspect of [Bright Radiance Manifested in the World] meant, huh?’
