Game World: I Can Share Talents

Chapter 125: Warning

Chapter 125: Warning

Oreos had been in an excellent mood lately. Or rather, he’d always believed his life was like that of a protagonist in a play or a novel.

Born in the Borderland, he inherited the position of City Lord after his father’s passing. He then seized the opportunity presented by the Qinghui Territory’s destruction in the Chaos Tide, successfully absorbing a large, high-quality population in one fell swoop.

He established workshops and erected high-rises. In just two years, White Rock City had developed at a pace equivalent to the previous twenty. He was on the verge of taking the final step: officially elevating his Pioneer Territory into Imperial territory.

At that point, he would become the Imperial’s youngest official Lord and possess his own hereditary lineage. Oreos didn’t even want to return to his main family, the Golden Iris. Instead, he harbored the ambition to strike out on his own.

With his abilities, he was certain he could carve out a new world for himself in the borderlands. Perhaps hundreds of years from now, his descendants would still be recounting his deeds!

Besides this sense of destiny, another reason Oreos felt like a protagonist was his incredible luck with women.

It was almost embarrassing to admit, but Oreos found himself constantly surrounded by all sorts of beautiful women—so many that it was almost a burden.

A doting older sister, an adoring younger sister—one as sexy as could be, the other as cute as a button. Both were talented in their own right, and they were the close-knit family who helped him govern White Rock City.

And according to the unspoken rules of the Imperial Nobility, further cementing family ties through marriage was allowed.

Meanwhile, his childhood friend, a maid who also served as his guard, had long since secretly given her heart to him.

But the one Oreos truly desired was his fiancée. That cool and mysterious young woman not only had a background that could help his family, but was also someone Oreos had fallen in love with at first sight.

"Phew... As long as I can handle the current situation, White Rock City’s promotion is guaranteed. Then, I’ll ask the main family... no, it would be better to leverage the influence from Liliana’s side. I’ll have to talk to her about it next time."

Oreos mulled over his upcoming plans as he strolled through the courtyard of his residence.

After a moment of contemplation, the Lord of White Rock City turned to the maid at his side—his childhood friend—and asked:

"Has Duke Qinghui made any moves in the last two days?"

Marine immediately replied, "Duke Qinghui didn’t stay in the inn for long. As soon as he returned, he started moving about, making visits and extending invitations all over the city, it seems."

"Hah. Is he planning to dismantle White Rock City from the inside? Duke Qinghui is a bit too naive. The Borderland isn’t as complex as the Imperial Capital. All the key positions in the city are held by my trusted confidants. Does he really think he can turn my sisters and fiancée against me?"

"It seems Duke Qinghui truly does have that intention."

Marine continued, "In the early hours of this morning, he went to see Lady Jocelyn, saying he wanted to spar and hone his Swordsmanship."

Oreos scoffed and shook his head. "Spar with my sister? He’s simply asking for humiliation. How can a Lord-class compete with a combat-specialized class? Duke Qinghui must be fuming by now."

Oreos had complete confidence in his sister. He didn’t doubt for a second that she would teach Duke Qinghui a harsh lesson. The handsome young City Lord even began to look forward to his sister Jocelyn describing how she dominated him in their Swordsmanship duel.

However, by noon, he still hadn’t seen his sister, which made Oreos slightly suspicious. In the past, no matter how busy she was with work, Jocelyn always came home to eat and would never miss lunch with her family.

Fortunately, Jocelyn made it back in time for dinner.

But the tall, coolly beautiful woman’s condition seemed a bit off:

She was still wearing that expensive, exquisite, and gorgeous Swordsman’s Armor, designed to highlight her scandalous curves, but the soft fabric was now wrinkled and soaked with sweat.

Her silky, golden-brown hair was the same, seemingly drenched in sweat for a long time, giving it a sticky, matted texture.

An unnatural flush appeared on her snow-white skin, yet it was accompanied by a strange, shimmering radiance.

Jocelyn supported herself against the wall, walking slowly. Her long, shapely thighs trembled uncontrollably, and she nearly stumbled and fell several times.

She looked as if just walking took all the strength she had.

"Sister?!"

Oreos hurried forward.

"What’s wrong with you? Why are you so exhausted? Are you feeling unwell?"

"Oreos..."

Seeing her brother’s worried expression, a dazed look crossed Jocelyn’s delicate, pretty face. But she quickly shook her head and said:

"Don’t worry. I’m just... out of stamina."

"Out of stamina?"

That was something that almost never happened to a Transcendent, unless they had experienced an incredibly high-intensity battle.

Oreos immediately said:

"Don’t tell me you sparred with Duke Qinghui for the entire day?"

The moment the words left his mouth, Oreos noticed a deep look of shame appear on his sister’s heroic and beautiful face. Jocelyn bit her lip, turned her face away, and nodded.

"I... I was no match for him at all."

The handsome youth’s brow furrowed slightly.

"I heard that Duke Qinghui achieved things in the Imperial Capital that even the Divine Ancestor praised. I had assumed it was all due to his cunning, but I never expected his own martial prowess to be so solid. I underestimated him."

"Sister, there’s no need to be ashamed. It’s no disgrace to lose to Duke Qinghui. It was just a spar; he wouldn’t dare to make a real move."

Oreos comforted his sister as he reached out to support her.

However, the moment he touched the back of the tall beauty’s hand, Jocelyn flung it away.

"Don’t touch me!"

"!!!"

Oreos stared in astonishment at his sister’s extreme reaction.

Jocelyn also realized her overreaction and quickly apologized:
