Chapter 246: Master Of The Domain
Chapter 246: Master Of The Domain
"It’s a very long story," Mirabella answered, her voice carrying the exhaustion of a hundred battles fought in a life that technically hadn’t happened yet. The presence of Adira, a being of pure, high-tier energy, was a testament to how far Mirabella had strayed from the "ordinary" path her mother had once envisioned for her.
"Fufufufu, tell me the rest when you meet my second soul fragment. I’m sure she’ll have more time for stories," Genevieve said with a wink. "Anyway... you already know how to rebuild your land, now, come on."
Genevieve started walking toward the massive golden gate of the palace, her steps light. Mirabella and Cupcake followed closely, their footsteps echoing against the soil.
"When you enter the Palace, the main structure will remain visible in the outside world... You need to master how to hide it while you are inside. A fortress is only useful if the enemy cannot find it," she explained, her eyes fixed on the golden gates. "Why don’t you try?"
Mirabella closed her eyes. She could feel the cool air of the garden outside the dimension, but the connection to the palace’s external hull felt sluggish, like trying to move a mountain with a silk thread. She shook her head. "I can feel the world outside, but I can’t control the palace’s presence while I’m inside it."
Genevieve held her jaw, her expression turning thoughtful. "I suspect it’s because you haven’t unlocked all the elemental cores yet. The Palace requires a full elemental harmony to truly become an extension of your soul. You should make it a priority to unlock the rest; only then will you truly be one with the Palace." She pointed to the entrance.
"Open," Mirabella ordered.
The huge, 20-meter-tall double gates groaned, the ancient mechanism coming to life as they swung wide, revealing a courtyard that felt like the heart of a sun.
"In this world, you are the Creator and the Master... With your current strength, you can bring three hundred thousand living creatures in here. This isn’t just a storage space like your soul sea, Mira. This is a living, breathing ecosystem," Genevieve said, her voice echoing in the vast space.
The group entered the courtyard. Adira fluttered along, her tiny hands guiding the fire egg and the two newly acquired Supreme Beast eggs. The three eggs floated in a triangular formation, pulsing with life in the presence of the palace’s concentrated energy.
Mirabella raised her hand, testing her sovereignty. With a mere thought, a jagged stone rose from the ground; it shifted and smoothed into a gleaming sword, then expanded into a small, sturdy house, before finally shattering into a cloud of golden dust at her whim.
’So much spirit energy, this place is the best for cultivation.’ She thought.
"Everything in this palace is under your control. Once you bring anyone in here... they’ll have to listen to you no matter what their level is. But—" Genevieve paused at the inner sanctum door, turning her head to her daughter with a solemn warning. "This is a Supreme Class artifact, a treasure that would make even the Gods descend to fight. Keep it well hidden. To the world, let it be nothing but a myth."
The inner doors parted, revealing a hall so vast it seemed to have its own horizon.
"About its combat abilities... The palace can enlarge to the size of a city, and it is virtually indestructible. Only another Supreme Class artifact might be able to harm it," Genevieve chuckled. "I tried to damage it myself once, just to see, but I failed. Only a Peak Supreme Class artifact can scratch these walls. Everything else is useless."
She swept her gaze across the hall, nodding in satisfaction. "Once you mastered the unlocked cores, you can also project the fire and wind elements to attack the outside world while you remain safely tucked away in here."
"Thank you for this, Mother," Mirabella said, turning to Genevieve. The sheer scale of the inheritance was finally sinking in. "But I need to know... who were they? The ones who wiped out our family?"
"No can do... Meet my third soul, then you might get the answer to that question," Genevieve said sternly, shaking her head. The memory was clearly locked behind a higher level of her soul fragment. "What else do you want to know?"
"There are so many things. The truth about Galaxy Fall, the higher worlds—"
"—Sorry dear, my memory is like a shattered mirror. I only have the shards I was given. Oh, right..." Genevieve’s expression suddenly turned urgent. "Please, don’t take the bell from the Dragon Empire. Even if it belongs to us, they need it to keep the peace between the nations."
Mirabella frowned, her eyes sharp. "You’re still thinking about the stability of the Empires? Even after they hunted you?"
"Of course. Without the Empires, the peace will shatter, and Galaxy Fall will be plunged into an age of darkness. If Galaxy Fall falls, the entire Galaxy—including Earth—will be consumed by the void."
Mirabella weighed her mother’s words against her own desire. Finally, she nodded. "Ok. I have one more thing to ask... The Sword Empire has brainwashed someone I know. Is there a way to break the seal on her mind?"
Genevieve’s hand went to her jaw again. "The Sword Empire’s Royal family doesn’t possess such a skill. Even the Mythic Eye is a tool of perception, battle and illusion, not permanent mental rewriting." She muttered, her eyes flickering with a sudden, dark realization.
’Could it be him?’ A hint of worry flashed past her eyes, a micro-expression that Mirabella caught instantly.
"What happened? Who is behind this?" Mirabella pressed.
"In ancient times, there were many families. One was particularly proficient in soul-anchored hypnosis. I suspect a remnant of that family is hiding within the Sword Empire’s court, pulling the strings. I don’t know their end goal, but if this friend is precious to you... the only way to free her is to kill the caster. But—"
"—But if the caster is a high-ranking member of the Royal court, killing them means war with the Sword Empire," Mirabella finished, her mind already running through a dozen infiltration scenarios.
"Correct! My daughter is as sharp as a Sun-blade," Genevieve said with a bittersweet smile.
"Hmm... This just got tricky."
"Yes. You must think carefully before you strike. Know the whole truth before you commit to the kill," Genevieve suggested.
Mirabella nodded in agreement. "Thank you, Mother. This helps more than you know."
With a thought, Mirabella signaled the end of the session. The group vanished from the Golden Palace’s dimension, appearing back in the quiet, sun-drenched garden. The miniature palace hovered silently in the air before Mirabella, its golden glow dimmed but its power undeniable.
Mirabella reached out, storing the palace, the eggs, and the god-class scrolls into her system storage. She felt a surge of cold, calculated confidence. With her level skyrocketed to 390, the legacy of the Sun family in her hands, and the strategic insights of her mother, she was no longer just a survivor of the apocalypse. She was the storm that was about to break over Galaxy Fall.
