Chapter 244: Arsenal Of The Sun
Chapter 244: Arsenal Of The Sun
"Come on, Mira... That is just a broken god class artifact, it’s useless to you." Genevieve said calmly. She slowly stood up, her tone as casual as if they were discussing a discarded piece of rusty iron rather than a legendary relic of the Dragon Empire.
"Useless to me? Even if it’s a broken artifact, it’s still a hundred times stronger than legendary class." Mirabella pointed out, staring at her mother. The pragmatic, loot-driven mindset of a survivor who had fought tooth and nail for every scrap of power in her past life violently clashed with her mother’s cosmic perspective.
Genevieve simply walked towards Cupcake, elegantly kneeling to caress the winged cat’s head. Cupcake purred, leaning into the matriarch’s touch.
"You are a member of the Sun family. You should start ignoring such broken artifacts; only focus on genuine God class artifacts and Supreme Class artifacts." Genevieve said with a gentle, chiding smile.
"Wait!! You have a supreme class artifact?!!" Mirabella yelled in absolute disbelief. In the entire history of Galaxy Fall, a Supreme Class artifact was an existence that could single-handedly dictate the rise and fall of whole continents.
"Of course... I once had fifty of them."
".....?!!"
Mirabella stood up in shock, her chair scraping loudly against the pristine floor of the gazebo. "Fifty?!!"
"Oh, what is wrong with having fifty? Yeah, the supreme class is the highest of weapon and skills class, but they aren’t that important." She said, waving her hand dismissively.
’Does she even know what she is talking about? A god Class artifact could wipe out an empire, let alone a Supreme Class!’ Mirabella exclaimed inwardly, her mind reeling at the casual dismissal of items that would cause global wars.
"Mira, I know the strength of a Supreme Class artifact, but with your current strength, you can’t easily wield it." Genevieve stood upright, her aura shifting slightly as she snapped her fingers.
The space in the pocket dimension shifted, rippling like water, and Sunder appeared before her, floating gently in the air.
"My sword!" Mirabella muttered, staring at the weapon which had been violently sucked into the ancient temple wall just a short while ago.
"This was originally my sword." Genevieve revealed.
As she spoke, the battered, unassuming broadsword began to morph. The metal flowed like liquid silver; Sunder seamlessly transformed into a lethal, elongated spear, then folded outward into a massive, heavily-drawn bow, and from that, it expanded into a brutal, double-bladed battleaxe.
"Your weapon?" Mirabella was dumbfounded, watching the fluid mastery of the shape-shifting armament.
"Sunder, as you named it, is a Supreme Class artifact."
"Su... Supreme Class!!!" Mirabella blinked in shock, staring at the weapon as it shifted back into a sword.
"Then why is it only a Legendary class in my interface?" She asked, her knowledge demanding an explanation for the system’s rating.
"Because I placed three seals on it... These seals dropped its class to protect the wielder from its immense energy consumption." Genevieve explained, turning around to face her daughter. "If I unlock one seal now, it will advance into a god class artifact, but can you wield such a weapon without it draining your life force?" She asked.
Mirabella stared at the sword, then at her mother, her tactical mind calculating the limits of her newly acquired Lv390 stats. "When can I have the power to wield it?"
"Reach Lv400, and you will be able to control a god class artifact. As for Supreme Class, you must break the bottleneck of a Lv500, and advance to the higher ranks." She explained, as Sunder floated gracefully towards Mirabella. "I placed a key on the sword; once you reach the required level, it will automatically open one seal."
Mirabella caught Sunder by the hilt. She stared down at the blade, her eyes widening. Not seeing a single crack on it, the blade was fully repaired, its edge gleaming with a deadly, flawless perfection.
"Oh my... I just remembered."
Mirabella looked up at her mother, staring at her in confusion as Genevieve’s face lit up with a sudden, maternal realization.
"I missed your birthdays, a lot... But that doesn’t mean I won’t prepare gifts for you." She snapped her fingers again.
The space before them erupted in a blinding display of high-tier loot. First, a glowing golden bow materialized, radiating pure, concentrated solar energy.
Following next were five silver skill scrolls, their parchment humming with ancient runes. Then, two massive, two-feet-tall monster eggs pulsating with immense vitality. Next came a full, magnificent set of golden armor that seemed to absorb the light around it. Beside the armor, a highly advanced, heavily armed air nexus battleship hovered in miniature form. Five ornate golden keys appeared, followed by an intricate, heavy golden chest.
But what completely shocked Mirabella, leaving her breathless, was the sprawling, miniature Golden Palace hovering majestically above the mountain of treasures.
"My beautiful daughter, this is the Golden Lotus Bow. It has the strength to easily kill a Lv500 Knight. The five silver skill scrolls are all God class skills. The two eggs are the offsprings of two Supreme Class Beasts which I tamed in the past. The Golden armor is known as Heaven’s Favor; it can easily block the synchronized attacks from one thousand Lv500 fighters." Genevieve smiled, the pride evident in her voice as she continued the inventory of world-breaking gifts.
"The Air Nexus Battleships are the most expensive flying ships in the Third World... There are none in this world of Galaxy Fall. This Battleship has the firepower to wipe out a whole city with its artillery fire... Isn’t it cool?" She asked, her eyes twinkling as she stared at her utterly stunned daughter, before continuing:
"These five golden keys are the five keys to the Sun family dungeons; our family’s greatest legacy, ancient Beasts, and Artifacts are kept there. The chest has ten billion awakening stones, and one hundred billion gold coins... Last but not the least—"
Genevieve paused mid-sentence. The tough, cold exterior Mirabella had worn like armor for two lifetimes finally cracked completely. She lunged forward, hugging her mother tightly.
"Thank you, Mum. Thank you so much." Her voice trembled. It wasn’t just about the unfathomable wealth and power; it was the physical manifestation of fifteen years of a mother’s missed love and desperate protection.
Genevieve chuckled lightly, a sound of pure joy, and hugged her back. "Why are you thanking me, Mira? As your Mother, this is my job... I know the journey ahead won’t be easy, the world is cruel, so you will need all the help you can get."
She gently separated from the hug, turning her attention to the side as the Golden Palace drifted towards them, hovering steadily beside the mother and daughter duo like a loyal guardian.
"The Golden Palace is my strongest Artifact in my arsenal, a Peak Supreme Class artifact... It has the power of the seven great elements. But it’s still too powerful for your current spirit energy core, so I will only unlock the fire and wind cores for now... As you progress in strength and break your bottlenecks, you should unlock the remaining five." Genevieve explained, her gaze fixed fondly on the floating palace, securing her daughter’s survival in the wars to come.
