Galaxy Fall: All My Skills Are Maxed

Chapter 213: The Unyielding Blades

Chapter 213: The Unyielding Blades

[In The Tunnel.]

The heavy, oppressive atmosphere of the boss room slowly faded, replaced by the damp chill of the passage. Mirabella was moving ahead of the group, her gaze ahead, but her mind was in a different zone. The sheer impossibility of the recent encounter was gnawing at her instincts.

’This is strange... That Angel was hostile some minutes ago, why did she suddenly transform into a submissive slave? It can’t be my new title, because I didn’t use it... Then why?’ She thought, staring at the glowing passage before them. The ambient energy in the tunnel pulsed with a steady, rhythmic light, illuminating the ancient, moss-covered stonework.

"That’s the teleportation circle, it will take us straight to our flag." She announced at the group moving behind her, projecting the confident aura of a captain perfectly in control, even as her mind raced to decipher the shifting hierarchy.

’Luigi called me Great Queen, it only means she knows about the Great King, maybe she has more information about him.’ She clenched her fists, the leather of her gloves groaning under her enhanced physical stats. The politics of the power sovereign were completely outside her established timeline.

’Having such a powerful slave isn’t a bad thing, but she can’t be trusted... She must have been one of the Great King’s Subordinates, so it was only natural to bow to the now Great Queen! Gosh, I hate this title... But...’ Her eyes widened as a terrifying, yet highly pragmatic strategy formed in her mind.

’If all his slaves becomes my slaves in the future, isn’t that a good thing? I can use them and grow stronger, and once I set my eyes on this Great King, I will know their standing, by then, if they turn against me; I will just kill them all.’ She thought, increasing her speed. In the ruthless world of Galaxy Fall, morality was secondary to survival and stat accumulation.

’I still need that Celestial Palace, but I can’t venture into the central zone, it’s very complicated...’ She exhaled, her breath pluming in the cool air. The central zone was a death trap for current players, locked behind world’s restrictions and apocalyptic guardians.

’Maybe I will leave this task to her... If she can get me the palace, I will take her under my command, but if she can’t... I will simply kill her.’ Mirabella finally decided, solidifying her ruthless terms of employment, and entered the teleportation circle. The spatial array flared, consuming them in a pillar of blinding light.

__

[South.]

BAM!!

The spatial displacement spat them out with a heavy concussive wave. Mirabella, and her group appeared in front of a small hill, standing 200 meters tall. The air here was entirely different—warm, open, and smelling of dry grass rather than ancient rot.

The students looked around in confusion, all stunned and speechless. The sudden transition from the claustrophobic cave to the sprawling, sunlit wilderness of the southern sector was highly disorienting.

"Our flag is up there." Mirabella said, pointing her finger at the top of the hill. At the summit, barely visible against the sky, the shimmering fabric of their objective waved in the wind.

"Then let’s go--"

"Nope, there is someone up there, someone powerful." She said, her word freezing Austin on his track. Her elevated senses were already painting a terrifying target on the peak.

"Someone powerful? I can’t even sense him? Is he above Lv200?" Hitachi asked in surprised, his hand instinctively moving to the hilt of his weapon.

"Nope, She is Lv400... All of you should scatter."

"...?!"

They stared at Mirabella in confusion, Scattered, why?

’These guys aren’t scared of Lv400 anymore, maybe because of the angel or because I am here.’ She thought. Surviving a room with a boss whose aura could melt steel had severely skewed their perception of danger. But a Lv400 entity in an open field was still a walking natural disaster.

"As your Captain, I am giving nine of you a very important mission." She opened her palm, triggering her spatial storage, and six swords appeared, the same swords which was taken from the angel. The ancient Sun family blades hummed with immense, barely contained energy, their auras thick enough to distort the air.

’If I am truly related to the Sun family, these should be mine, but I made a promise.’ She thought.

One flew to Carl, who caught it, swinging the blade with a slight frown: ’Why is it a little heavy?’ He thought in confusion. The steel felt like it was forged from neutron star core rather than iron.

The second moved to Austin, who caught the blade, a bright smile on his face: ’Is it me, or is this sword heavy?’ He thought, his warrior-class strength barely keeping the tip from dragging in the dirt.

The third flew to Kent, who caught the sword, a smile on his face: ’This will make up for my shield, although it’s heavy, it’s a good sword.’ He thought, appreciating the sheer durability radiating from the metal.

The forth moved to David, who couldn’t even lift the blade into the air: "What the? Why is this sword so heavy?!" He asked in shock. His muscles strained, veins popping on his forearms, but the sword remained rooted to the earth like Excalibur.

The fifth and sixth moved to Aurelia and Precious, respectively, and just like David, the two Assassins couldn’t lift the swords.

"How can we fight with a sword we can’t even lift?" Aurelia asked in confusion, staring at the beautifully crafted, utterly useless weapon at her feet.

Hitachi hugged his Legendary class sword, staring at them. His mind easily deduced the mechanics at play. "There are two reasons to this."

With his words, they all turned towards him.

"First... The sword doesn’t acknowledge you as its Master, this only applies to special Legendary class swords, these legendary class swords are one step from becoming a God class weapons... But with the energies these swords are emanating, they aren’t special, just regular Legendary class swords... So the first reason isn’t it." He said, staring at them, dissecting the complex item-binding systems of the server.

"What about the second?" David asked, although he can’t use the sword, he can’t just believe he couldn’t raise the sword he worked for.

"Second... You guys are too weak to wield this class of weapon." Hitachi said flatly. The cold, hard truth of the level hierarchy was absolute.

"Correct, only God Rank Players can freely use a Legendary class weapon, all of you aren’t even Lv70, to speak of Lv100... Only Hitachi and Rose are above Lv70." Mirabella said, her gaze fixed on the hill. She understood the massive discrepancy in their team’s foundation.

’Hitachi is the young master of the Azul clan, even if the clan was Massacred, he has all the resources... As for Rose, being the youngest daughter of Lord Hayatobi and little sister of Yakima, of course, she will have all the resources needed... But the main issue here is.’ Her eyes narrowed, piercing the distance to the summit, calculating the odds of a Lv400 interloper at a simple flag retrieval point.

’Who is waiting up there?’
