From God of Lies to Lord of All Worlds

Chapter 93: The Silver Axe and That Man's Return

Chapter 93: The Silver Axe and That Man's Return

At this moment, the clamor outside had gradually risen. The Original Inhabitants of Springfield City felt as if their entire worldview had been shattered.

This incredibly hard granite tomb, which they had seen since childhood, actually possessed such a manifestation? How was this possible?

But whether it was discussion or doubt, in the face of this reality that had already occurred, it would all transform into genuine Wish Power, bringing Bai Yang immense benefits.

And given this city's focus on and worship of Lincoln, this growth in Wish Power would likely not easily fade for a very long time.

This was originally one of Bai Yang's designed goals. He was currently standing at the top of the cemetery, looking at the growing Wish Power and nodding in satisfaction.

Sure enough, Wish Power didn't necessarily require particularly massive spectacles or worldview-shattering Gods and Demons to appear. A century-old, unchanging object suddenly transforming in the eyes of those familiar with it was equally a tremendous shock.

Moreover, many people in this country didn't really think too deeply about other things. In their eyes, it was either a gift from the Gods or a Government conspiracy.

But precisely because of this dualism, they instead became Bai Yang's greatest providers of Wish Power.

Even if it was merely the disturbance at Lincoln's Tomb, they would still believe it to be the awakening of a God.

Coincidentally, the local Church members who had been invited over thought the exact same thing. That local Catholic Bishop even started preaching right there on the spot!"President Lincoln was a devout believer. This situation clearly means that he has already been accepted by Heaven!" the Bishop declared loudly, drawing the agreement of many.

"I am starting to like this missionary spirit of theirs!" Bai Yang said with a beaming smile. He raised his hand and released that small white flame. This initial fire, which belonged to the authority of "God," clearly began to burn and grow stronger in this scenario.

That was a situation where another part of history was ignited. Within the flames of Divine Nature, scenes began to appear one after another. That man named "Lincoln" seemed to truly be experiencing a legendary story.

"Your Crown, it might still require a vast amount of Wish Power and time to truly turn these stories into history!" Alvin said from the side.

Bai Yang nodded. "Of course I know that. The moment all of this history is completely forged, it won't just be the divine fire that is completed, but the Divine Seat named God truly ascending to the high heavens!"

"All of this is proceeding in parallel. While changing history, the world will also be changed along with it. That is what's even more important!"

His ambitions were grand, his actions even grander, and every single one of his decisions was so exaggerated that it left Alvin breathless.

"Your thoughts are profound. I simply cannot imagine them!" Alvin said, lowering his head.

……

Below the tomb, after the news was relayed and it was ensured that there were no risks inside, Deputy Director Baron slowly walked in.

Out of the need for confidentiality, even though the Mayor of Springfield City swore an oath to keep the secret, he still did not receive permission to enter the cemetery.

Although both were officials of blue states, the one in California could publicly hurl insults at Golden Hair, but as the mayor of a small state's capital, this man lacked even the courage to offend Baron.

Perhaps the mayor of the Motor City within this state would have such courage? Who knew!

Regardless, Baron came alone. He saw Gao and Chris taking notes, as well as the Agents frantically snapping photos.

"I imagine you've brought my father a few surprises?" Baron asked. Having seen the text as well, he naturally knew of the success of their visit.

They had only guessed that there was something here; they hadn't expected to actually find something, and it was even something Lincoln had specifically left behind before his death.

Gao hurriedly replied, "This is all due to your appropriate choices, Director!"

Listen, just listen. Who said Americans didn't know how to flatter? Everyone had learned very well from Vice President Qian Si. Only by keeping the boss comfortable would they have good days ahead, right?

Baron nodded, finding the praise very useful. Although he appeared mature for his age, he was still a young man after all, and his eyes crinkled in pleasure after being praised.

Then, the three of them began to discuss this special "will" and Chris's identity.

Yes, the reason Chris was able to become an Agent of the Special Affairs Executive Bureau was not only because of Austin's proposal, but also his special identity.

His great-great-grandmother was the granddaughter of Abraham Lincoln, having passed away in 1907. But this also meant that a portion of Lincoln's blood flowed through his veins. In Christian theology, the descendant of a Saint would inevitably possess certain attributes of that Saint.

Unexpectedly, they had actually gambled right. Chris's blood became the primary factor that allowed Lincoln's final words to truly reveal themselves.

Not only that, but they had also found something even more important—the Abraham's Axe mentioned in the will.

"If that axe truly exists, doesn't it prove that my ancestor really was a Vampire hunter? Does that mean such blood flows through my body as well?" Chris became genuinely excited!

He had encountered Transcendence before; whether it was Leon, George, or that Lems Oconnor, he had seen them all!

That kind of Transcendent power was enough to intoxicate anyone. Now that he also possessed the possibility of obtaining this power, how could he not be thrilled?

Gao kept a steady demeanor. "No one can say for sure, but I think we should be able to go and retrieve that axe now!"

In his hand, he held a dropper containing the blood that had just trickled from Chris. This blood was miraculous; even after flowing out, it neither blackened nor dried up, as if its intrinsic properties had been locked in place.

The three of them walked toward the southeast corner of the tomb. There, a protruding stone wall had indeed been marked by the Agents, so Gao dripped the blood onto it.

Clearly, there was no reaction when he applied the drops. When Chris himself took the dropper and applied the blood, there was still no reaction.

At this moment, Chris no longer hesitated. He picked up a needle handed over by an operative nearby and pricked the slightly scabbed wound on his finger. Drops of blood flowed out, tracing lines across the stone wall!

At this moment, they could clearly see a faint silver light slowly flickering wherever the blood flowed.

And with the appearance of the silver light, the originally protruding stone wall slowly dissolved the granite on its surface right before their eyes.

It was only then that they realized this was not the silver glow of the blood, but rather the blood corroding the granite, slowly revealing the true appearance of the silver axe that had been embedded within the wall.

"This is... Abraham's Axe?" Baron asked, his mouth watering slightly. He reached out to grab it, only to find that his hand could only touch the wall and the granite, unable to touch the axe itself no matter how hard he tried.

Gao experienced the same thing. It was as if this axe had a mysterious shield blocking their hands.

The two had no choice but to watch as Chris slowly reached out, his hand passing through the invisible barrier to grasp the seemingly wooden handle of the axe!

"Clang!" A clear, resonant sound slowly echoed within the space, like the sound of a Warrior drawing a sword, announcing its arrival to everyone present!

Chris held the axe, raising it high above his head. He could feel that this axe seemed to be brimming with power.

Thus, he chose to yield to the axe's call and adapt to this power.

A silver light manifested upon his body. Wielding what felt like unparalleled strength, he swung the axe, violently hacking toward a section of the tomb!

"Swoosh!" A silver streak of light appeared in everyone's sight. It then shattered the granite floor, broke through the surrounding walls of the tomb, cleaved apart the burial chamber completely made of stone, and slashed straight toward the distant woods!

Trees were severed, rocks were split, and the terrifying power kicked up endless plumes of dust!

The crashing sound prompted all the operatives, Agents, and police officers outside to raise their Guns, aiming in the direction of the tomb, thinking something had gone wrong inside.

But as the dust settled, the figure of a bearded man dressed in black and holding an axe made many people involuntarily rub their eyes.

They looked at the bronze statue beside them, then at the man emerging from the smoke, and couldn't help but exclaim in surprise, "They look alike, they look very alike..."

[Vampire Hunter Lincoln]
