Chapter 390: This is the Earth of Humanity!
Chapter 390: This is the Earth of Humanity!
"I prayed to the Deities, and they answered my plea!" Carl declared before the crowd. "The Deities revealed to me that this Monster is a blasphemous, otherworldly creature that will bring disaster to our lands!"
"Therefore, Supplicants of the Deities, we have returned to protect our home!"
"We cannot let these Christians steal all the glory!"
Hearing his words, the Transcendent Beings who had accompanied Carl took a fierce step forward, unleashing a synchronized, roaring battle cry: "For the Glory of the Sun God!"
The greatest Divine Faith of the people on this land was naturally directed toward the Sun God. The recent descent of Weiqiluobocitli into the mortal realm had driven this devotion to an unprecedented peak.
Because of this, invoking the name of the Sun God was perfectly natural. More importantly, the vast majority of the Creator Gods within the American God System possessed solar authority. It was a fascinating alignment of divine permission and mortal reverence.
Without hesitation, they charged to the very frontlines of the battlefield, crashing into the crystalline beings. They quickly carved out their own zone of combat, drawing away the Puppets of Kuchamama.
With powerful Sea Serpents striking and arrows raining down on the wind, the Crystalline People found their proudest tactic—their Infection and Transformation Attack—rendered completely ineffective.
Meanwhile, Carl brought Evan over to George's side. "There is an unresolvable Hatred between us, Christian!"
Carl's voice rang out, "But my Deities tell me that we must unite to drive out this otherworldly Monster, just as we did a thousand years ago!"George gave a slight nod. "Thank you for coming. I am sorry for what our ancestors did—but we will not surrender our lands either. There will undoubtedly be a terrifying War between us in the future!"
"However, that is a War for us humans to fight. We cannot allow alien races to interfere!"
Both men turned their heads simultaneously, gazing up at Kuchamama in the sky. This terrifying False God was radiating an oppressive pressure that struck Fear into even their hearts!
They knew the entity was deliberately waiting for their side to gather its strength, only to utterly crush them with a single, devastating blow.
For a lifeform at the level of a God, mere Slaughter was meaningless. What he truly needed was profound Fear, using it as the foundation to establish his Divine Faith!
As The Faithful of their respective Deities, both men understood this strategy intimately. Yet, they had no other choice. In this era where Deities Cannot Descend, they had to stand as the shield for the world. Their Faith demanded nothing less.
Furthermore, as Devout Persons and chosen Believers, they felt neither terror nor regret. To sacrifice themselves for the Deities was their highest glory!
When Carl arrived with his forces, the people watching from behind their screens were once again plunged into astonishment.
They had assumed The Church was the sole resistance. They thought those scripture-chanting fools were the only ones who would willingly shoulder the burden of this disaster before other regions were even affected.
But now, with the arrival of Carl and his allies, they realized with shock that this crisis was not just a burden for a single faction.
So the American God System harbored the exact same stance toward these Monsters?
It seemed the other side had not lied. These Monsters truly had engaged in countless battles with ancient Deities in the past, forging a deep and bitter Hatred.
Otherwise, why would the followers of the South American Deities—sworn, mortal enemies of The Church—set aside their animosity to help shoulder the pressure?
If that was the case, just what kind of entities were these Monsters, to force the Deities into taking them so seriously that they would ally with their bitter rivals?
"Should we be helping?" someone asked. "After all, even the Deities are wary of them... If they lose, are there any Supernatural Factions left in the world capable of stopping the enemy's advance?"
Those words perfectly echoed the Fear gripping everyone's hearts.
The most powerful Supernatural Factions on Earth were The Church, the indigenous Deities of the Americas, and Buddhism. However, the Buddhist Bodhisattva seemed to have vanished; aside from a singular response in Kolkata, no other Divine Miracles had occurred elsewhere.
As for Japan, the Demons and Ghosts and Monsters there were on the verge of tearing the country apart. How could they possibly spare anyone to help?
Thus, the two strongest Supernatural Factions in the world were the ones currently standing on that battlefield. If they lost, no one dared to imagine what would happen.
Under such terrifying pressure, every decision felt like a massive gamble. No one dared to make a hasty judgment.
No one dared to predict what that horrifying False God would do next. Even though these leaders were the rulers of the mundane world, in the face of this Supernatural Crisis, they were completely powerless to intervene.
"Prepare the Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles," Golden Hair ordered bluntly. Among all the national leaders, he was the fastest to react. "If they fail, do not hesitate. Drop every single Intercontinental Ballistic Missile we have on them!" Hearing this, Qian Si froze in shock. "Your Excellency, isn't that a bit too extreme?"
"Do you think a God who casually slaughters his own Believers would treat this world kindly if he survives?" Golden Hair asked. "I don't think so. I hear absolutely no goodwill in his words, only pure cruelty!"
"Rather than wait for that bastard to destroy the world, we might as well destroy him first!"
"This Earth belongs to humanity! Our own Deities are naturally welcome to descend, but otherworldly Monsters are absolutely not!"
Golden Hair's words were decisive and uncompromising, successfully projecting the image of a Great Leader who refused to bow to overwhelming power.
Of course, only Baron knew that his father had just received a message from Heya Thomson. The Advisor clearly had his own distinct channels for information.
However, none of that was their main concern right now. At the very least, Qian Si had already begun to flatter Golden Hair. "Great Leader, you are the true savior of humanity!"
Before Qian Si's words could even fade, the ship that had sailed from the Nordic region suddenly reappeared in the distance!
"That ship just went to a nearby small island to drop off the ordinary people on board, and now it has returned!" someone whispered in their earpieces. "A third Divine Pantheon has joined the battle..."
On the deck, a group of bare-chested Viking Warriors, wearing Metal Helmets and wielding Battle Axes or Spears, casually stepped off the ship.
As they marched forward, the originally turbulent ocean surface slowly froze into Ice Crystals, creating a solid path for these Berserkers to tread upon.
Next, they raised their Battle Axes, pointing them straight at Kuchamama in the sky, and unleashed a roaring battle cry worthy of the Vikings:
"Our God Odin commanded us to slay you! Now we are here! Are you ready to embrace Death?"
These Berserkers moved with absolute uniformity, their eyes burning with intense Fanaticism. It was an insatiable thirst for War; they craved the battlefield and held high Expectations for Death, for that was the ultimate glory of the Vikings!
Meanwhile, Kuchamama, who had been leisurely watching the spectacle, finally raised his head. Gazing down at the mortals below, he murmured softly, "Is this the entirety of the power your Deities have left behind? It truly is... laughably weak!"
A muffled chuckle escaped his crystal-like head. "Did you think I allowed you to gather together and raise your blades against me out of mercy?"
"I simply let you choose your own graveyard! Now that you have made your choice, it is my turn!"
The Monster's words dripped with near-infinite mockery, causing everyone to snap their heads upward!
They naturally understood the implication. This Monster was entirely confident he could wipe them all out. But how could that be possible?
They knew very well that the entity hadn't even been able to breach a barrier set up by a single Bishop. How could he possibly destroy them all so easily?
Everyone assumed the Monster was just spouting empty arrogance. Without hesitation, they raised their hands as Transcendent power surged within their bodies. "Otherworldly False God, get the hell out of our world!"
"This is the Earth of humanity! It is not a place for you to run wild!"
George swung his Long Sword, wings of light crisscrossing over his body. Gathering all the Radiance onto himself, he slashed out a massive beam of sword energy, launching a devastating strike right at Kuchamama!
Simultaneously, Carl and Evan completed their prayers. Illusory manifestations of a pale eagle and a jaguar burst from their bodies, charging toward the distant False God!
As for the Viking pirates, they were even more direct, hurling their Battle Axes. Empowered by the beating of the War Drums on their ship, the weapons merged into a colossal Blood-Red Axe that cleaved toward the False God!
This was a combined assault from Earth's Three Major Supernatural Factions, serving as their most forceful and unyielding response to the False God's Proclamation!
