From God of Lies to Lord of All Worlds

Chapter 372: The Worldwide Age of Discovery Plan

Chapter 372: The Worldwide Age of Discovery Plan

It was the second week since Bai Yang's Caribbean Sea plan had commenced, and the fourth day since the shipwreck was discovered in Galveston Bay, south of Houston.

Along the coast of the Caribbean Sea lay extremely small archipelagos, which could also be described as a collection of minuscule nations.

Among them were Haiti, a moral abyss of humanity; Cuba, America's sworn enemy; Venezuela, the nation with the world's largest oil reserves; and the islands and ports belonging to England and France, the world's classic instigators.

During that bygone era, these powers had relied on these very islands to extract massive profits from trade in the Americas, propelling themselves into becoming the world's top superpowers.

However, the region now appeared entirely calm and tranquil.

After all, this sea area was currently patrolled by America's fleets. Aside from America stirring up trouble itself, no other nation in the world had the qualifications to act out here.

Even if America seemed somewhat diminished under the shadow of Transcendent powers, it was still America, was it not?

They still possessed immense global control and maintained a pivotal status in this region.

This time, however, the Atlantic Fleet welcomed a group of uninvited guests.

Among them, two distinct teams stood completely separated. A single glance revealed deeply entrenched conflicts between them, yet now they were forced to stand together to negotiate with the fleet commander. The leaders of the two teams were Austin Nash and Elton Newland.

Austin was a familiar face, a direct subordinate to Gao, the primary leader of the American Special Affairs Bureau, and was currently a prominent handler of special events renowned throughout the country.

As for Elton? His first name certainly was not important, but his surname was Newland! Which Newland? The Newland of California!

He was the nephew of Governor Newland of California, as well as the director of California's special affairs department. Under the current domestic climate, they were practically the bridgeheads for two major factions!

This confrontation was utterly unreasonable and entirely devoid of any method for mitigation, as the powers behind them had already completely fractured domestically.

But this left Harvey, the commander of the Second Fleet, dealing with a troublesome situation. Neither of these guys was someone to trifle with, and he could not afford to offend either of them.

One was a man of the current Great Leader; offending him meant dealing with immediate retaliation the moment a report was filed. The other was slightly better, having no jurisdiction over him right now, but in a little over three years, if the opposing side actually won the election, he would still face a reckoning!

These two parties had controlled the nation of America for nearly a century. Even though the military was supposedly independent of partisan politics, one could never truly say they were completely removed from it.

Just look at the recent actions of the newly renamed Department of War, which had even begun pressuring the seasoned veteran generals.

Consequently, Harvey could only look at both men simultaneously. "What exactly do you need? I will certainly help if I can, but if it is beyond my power, then I apologize in advance."

"Respected Commander, of course, I am merely here on the orders of the Great Leader to conduct a very simple investigation. It will not interfere with your operations at all!" Austin quickly stated.

Elton followed suit. "Yes, we are just passing through. Who knows, perhaps our destinations are completely different?"

"Then tell me your destinations," Harvey replied.

"We are going to Port-au-Prince, Haiti!" Austin answered.

"We are going to Jamaica!" Elton answered.

Harvey rubbed his forehead. "Are those not basically the same place?"

[Map]

These two countries were separated by just a narrow strip of sea. Did they really expect him to believe their targets were in different places?

Even if he believed it, would these two believe it themselves?

Clearly, the moment they heard each other's destinations, the gazes from both sides turned extremely hostile!

Elton looked directly at Austin. "What did Washington D.C. find?"

Refusing to be outdone, Austin glared back. "I am more curious about what you have found."

"Do you think I will tell you?"

"And do you think I will tell you?"

The two parties locked eyes, let out cold scoffs, and immediately parted on bad terms.

Since their goals were similar, it would be up to their own capabilities. Regardless, the items they held in their hands were the keys to unlocking this event!

Both sides shared the same thought. Coincidentally, they were not the only ones thinking this way.

Many countries around the world shared the exact same thought!

... England, Buckingham Palace.

King Charles and his eldest son, Prince William, were reviewing the documents in their hands alongside their new Prime Minister of Indian descent, Sunak.

Sunak had originally been ousted, but Charles had summoned him back. The King had realized that aside from this man, the prime ministers of the past two years had accomplished absolutely nothing practical and were entirely focused on lining their pockets!

At the very least, Sunak actually did the work and even eradicated some societal cancers. The rest of them, upon seeing that a situation was unsalvageable, would simply give up and let things rot while reaping the benefits for themselves.

They knew their tenure would be short, so during their time in office, they issued numerous absurd decrees and conveniently placed their cronies into key positions.

For instance: constructing thirty kilometers of high-speed rail cost forty billion pounds, translating to over 1.3 billion pounds per kilometer. Even if they had physically paved the tracks with banknotes, the railway would have been finished by now. Yet, completion remained nowhere in sight.

If asked, the money was spent. Where exactly it went, nobody knew. Regardless, they continued to demand more funding, insisting the construction must go on.

Thinking about this, King Charles only felt a troublesome situation brewing in his mind. When did the British Empire become like this? Back in the day, the civil servants might have been corrupt, but at least they got the job done!

This current batch was eager to suck the marrow from the bones of Great Britain, yet they refused to do even a shred of practical work. Looking at it this way, the people from India were actually considered good; because they genuinely did not want to return to their own country, they actually put in the effort.

Of course, whether they did a good job and whether they wanted to turn this place into a new India were entirely different matters.

But none of that was important right now. The only important thing was the document in their hands!

"This is a manuscript from the British Museum. It was originally supposed to be the records of a naturalist, dated around the year 1661, written in Jamaica," Prince William explained the contents of the document to his elderly father. "It was originally an account of local indigenous tribes holding a sacrifice to Quetzalcoatl, causing a Spanish gold-transporting ship to sink."

"There was nothing particularly special about this document until we discovered that Quetzalcoatl was real. Only then was it dug up again!"

"And the item found alongside this document is what we truly need to focus on!" William whispered, unrolling a file. "This is a logbook from 1725, originating from that infamous great pirate, Blackbeard!"

"To be exact, it belonged to Edward Titch's adjutant!"

Hearing this, the old King finally looked up. "The Edward Titch from that incident in America?"

It had to be said that America's intelligence system was very powerful, yet simultaneously quite weak. Their deeply intertwined, almost familial relationship allowed Great Britain to effortlessly acquire details regarding that special event originating in Texas, even securing photocopies and translated transcripts.

As a result, they also knew the information concerning that ship and the cemetery, which prompted the search within the British Museum in the first place.

"Yes, this manuscript proves the validity of that event once more!" Prince William stated. "The manuscript claims that it was their boss who shoved that horse bone into the Priest's chest cavity, which gave the compass the ability to locate that cemetery!"

"Moreover, the document also mentions that if one wishes to cross over, they must find the Three Holy Relics to extinguish the deity's wrath?"

As soon as this was said, they understood. This was clearly a portion of information entirely unrecorded in the American documents.

This was exactly why Great Britain was superior. With voluminous archives and extensive records, they possessed the very data that America lacked.

"So, as long as we can pacify the deity's wrath, won't we be able to find that special tomb, just as those pirates claimed? And perhaps, even acquire this Transcendent Power?"

Sunak's words caused the elderly King's eyes to light up.

"Quickly, summon the Royal Navy! Our Royal Navy shall return to its loyal Caribbean Sea! Just as it did three hundred years ago!"

It was not just Great Britain; many European nations who received this news shared the exact same thought.

Sweden, Stockholm Royal Palace.

Gustav XVI listened to the words of Freya before him, speaking slowly, "I understand your meaning. So, that place also holds the legacy of the Aesir Gods?"

Freya nodded. "Yes, I have sensed the presence of the gods. The Divine Objects belonging to us are manifesting in that sea area!"

"Then go! I will issue a diplomatic note to America. As for you, as the Aesir Religion, you do not need to notify anyone. Just go!"

Aside from them, a few other nations also discovered traces of these documents within their own databases inherently linked to the Age of Discovery.

They were all renowned nations of the Age of Discovery, or nations possessing some connection with Deities.

For example, the Netherlands, at the Royal Palace of Amsterdam;

Spain, at the Royal Palace of Madrid;

France, at the Palace of Versailles...

The entirety of Europe, astonishingly, was instigating another wave of their own Age of Discovery within this post-Age of Discovery era. Only this time, it was an Age of Transcendent seafaring!

The only one feeling rather perplexed was Golden Hair. Was his America a sieve? Did everyone know? Could anyone just come and go? Was this a public restroom?
