From God of Lies to Lord of All Worlds

Chapter 343: A Demon Beheaded, Flowers Blooming in the Mortal Realm

Chapter 343: A Demon Beheaded, Flowers Blooming in the Mortal Realm

If the initial descent of the Demons and that seemingly hopeless battle were Hell's warning to the world...

Then now, with the arrival of Saint Joan of Arc and the conclusion of this battle, the entire world had witnessed the overwhelming, ocean-like power backing The Church.

Many pondered whether they should strengthen their Divine Faith, or whether they should transform themselves into a second Italy. The Church's Divine Faith surged forward with unstoppable momentum, causing this special flame to burn even more fiercely!

However, whether it was Mario far away in Rome, Angus aboard a plane, or Caroline, who had composed herself and was inspecting the scene, none of them showed the slightest hint of joy.

"John, are they... all dead?" Caroline asked, her voice trembling. She could clearly see that the ranks of Clergymen had been reduced by a full third!

John nodded. "Your Highness Holy Maiden, yes. They... have all returned to The Lord's embrace!"

Caroline felt a wave of dizziness wash over her. "Eleven people... Eleven! Eleven devout Clergymen, plus the more than ten thousand Black People who died as Captives, and the bloody disaster they caused throughout this city..."

"We haven't tallied the exact numbers yet, but there shouldn't be fewer than a hundred thousand casualties!" The Sheriff approached Caroline and spoke softly. "My condolences, Your Highness Holy Maiden. You have already done everything within your power!"

Anyone with a shred of common sense clearly understood that this was not Caroline's fault. It was a crisis brought upon them by those Monsters.

Yet, what Caroline focused on was not the devastation, but the evasive gazes of the people standing before her. These were the very people who, just moments ago under the threat of the Vampire, had chosen to forsake their Divine Faith. Now, amidst the cheers of so many Believers, their guilt made them stand out glaringly.

A man suddenly fell to his knees, shouting loudly at the Holy Maiden, "I am sorry, Your Highness Holy Maiden! I just wanted to live! I still have Divine Faith in The Lord! Can you let me return to the fold?"

They naturally knew that everything had just been broadcast live, so they were fully aware of the massive Price for publicly abandoning their faith. And yet, he now wanted to come back.

How could things be so easy?

Caroline shook her head. "The Lord does not micromanage the affairs of His followers; The Lord only bears your Sin. But now, you no longer belong to The Lord. You do not need to apologize to me!"

Hearing this, the man's face turned ashen. He cried out in Despair, "Can't you show some understanding for those of us who just wanted to survive?"

At those words, George suddenly stood up. "If we showed understanding for you, wouldn't that be entirely unfair to the vast majority of true Believers?"

"The Lord will forgive every Believer, but you no longer believe in The Lord. How could He possibly forgive you?"

Hearing this declaration, all the apostates truly looked as pale as death.

No religious sect would ever welcome such treacherous individuals. This was especially true considering that The Church had been fighting tooth and nail for their very survival, yet these foolish people had mercilessly stabbed the Holy Maiden in the back at the most critical juncture.

Had the Holy Maiden failed to withstand that crushing pressure and simply collapsed, would Joan of Arc have ever descended? Would they have secured this current victory?

If they had truly lost, the entire city would have become the Price paid for their burial!

These people felt it was merely a trivial act of apostasy, but hidden behind that indifference was the deepest, darkest calculation of the Demons!

If they had genuinely lost, did these apostates actually think they would be allowed to live?

It was a pipe dream. Demons possessed absolutely no Credibility. Their words concealed infinite traps; a simple excuse like "He promised not to kill you, but what does that have to do with me?" would have been enough to plunge these people back into Hell.

Therefore, these traitors absolutely had to be severely punished.

Just as they were arguing over this matter, Joan of Arc returned. Riding her Sky Horse, she descended from the heavens and landed beside Caroline.

"Those ten thousand people were beyond saving, so I sent them straight to Hell!" Joan of Arc's single sentence silenced everyone. She truly lived up to her title as the Holy Maiden of War; her words were uncompromisingly fierce.

She casually slaughtered over ten thousand Supernatural Monsters, yet her demeanor made it feel completely natural, without the slightest hint of discomfort.

"Crown, what should be done with those two?" Caroline asked.

At that moment, the Demon named Remus and the Vampire named Vlad III were still firmly pinned to the ground by two spears, unable to free themselves!

"Those who provoke The Church must face judgment!" Joan of Arc glanced at George beside her. "Has the Inquisition been established?"

"It has. I am the Grand Inquisitor of the Inquisition, and I can issue the Pronouncement of Judgment right now!" George replied directly. Gazing at the two Archdemons before him, he began his Pronouncement of Judgment! "Supreme, Almighty Heavenly Father, Lord of Heaven and Earth!

We come before Your throne, relying on the precious blood, holy name, and victorious authority of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

May Your Radiance fill this entire space and bring down the ultimate judgment upon the Demons!"

The moment those words were spoken, holy Radiance seemed to descend upon the entire area. Right before their eyes, the two Archdemons revealed expressions of sheer agony!

It was an agony that seemed to emanate directly from their Souls. Even though they had not suffered any external physical attacks, they displayed boundless suffering. Yet, amidst such excruciating pain, the two Monsters still refused to yield.

Even though their underlings had all been reduced to Corpses lying in the middle of the street, and even though they had completely lost any possibility of victory, they still refused to surrender.

The demonic horns on Remus's head were slowly melting away, and his body was dissolving under a special judgment, but he continued to laugh. "Hell is summoning me. You mortals of the Mortal Realm... I will be back. Lord Baphomet will not give up. This place will eventually become our territory!"

Hearing this, Leon looked somewhat regretful. "What a pity... The man who once raged for the survival of Veterans has now thoroughly become a running dog of Hell!"

He still remembered that back in the New York prison, this man possessed at least a baseline sense of justice and morals. He had chosen only to kill the warden, sparing everyone else.

But now, throughout their prolonged confrontation, he had witnessed the man's absolute Depravity.

From exclusively killing scumbags, to slaughtering anyone affiliated with the military, and finally to targeting all of humanity—he had watched helplessly as this former adversary transformed into a true Archdemon.

"This is the nature of Hell. There is no such thing as acting according to one's own heart. Once you become a Demon, nothing remains but pure malice!" George added.

They watched as the Archdemon Remus slowly dissolved under this extraordinary judgment.

This was the trap they had set. Since they failed, they had to die!

However, Vlad III did not share the same sentiment. He glanced at the newly ascended Demon beside him, his face full of mockery. "Young Demons are always so impatient. I am Vlad the Great, and I will not die! Even Lincoln in the past failed to kill me. Do you honestly think you can kill me? Saint Joan of Arc?"

Hearing this boast, Saint Joan of Arc shook her head. "You are a product of a curse. Until Lady Lilith is slain, you are indeed immortal—but a Demon who commits Blasphemy against The Lord must be disciplined. Therefore, you shall be banished to the edge of the world to suffer endless, biting frost!"

As she spoke, she forcefully yanked the Vampire out of the ground along with the spear, and then violently hurled him toward the sky!

"Damn it... What are you trying to do?" Vlad III cried out in shock. He tried to struggle, only to find himself completely stripped of the ability to move even an inch. He could do nothing but let himself be thrown.

"Boom!" A massive sonic boom echoed. The spear surpassed the first cosmic velocity and shot straight out of Earth.

"Your Excellency Great Leader, Saint Joan of Arc just hurled that Vampire into outer space!" Inside the White House, the satellites tracked the spectacle, leaving everyone utterly shell-shocked.

"Is this what a truly powerful Transcendent Being looks like? Can they really be this strong? Launching someone into space relying purely on physical strength?" Baron muttered to himself.

"Alright, the matters here are resolved, and I need to return to the Heavenly Kingdom!" Saint Joan of Arc announced to the crowd. She remounted her steed and soared into the sky. "Do not mourn for the deceased; they are ascending the stairway of the Heavenly Kingdom, awaiting an audience with The Lord..."

At that moment, a woman holding a child suddenly looked up at the sky along with her baby. She had originally intended to flee but happened to pass by this area. In her arms, the Little Girl pointed at the sky and cheered, "Look, Mommy! So many uncles in White Robes are rolling out a red carpet in the clouds..."

Everyone turned their heads simultaneously, gazing at the heavens. They almost felt as though they could see those sacrificed Clergymen smiling down at them from the sky!

"Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake," Caroline murmured. She looked toward the spot where Saint Joan of Arc had departed. Right there, a golden Iris slowly blossomed, and within its petals, the Holy Maiden's radiant smile seemed to linger.

"If I am not in the grace of God, may The Lord place me there; if I am, may The Lord keep me there," Joan of Arc's voice echoed from above. "Share these glories with everyone enduring Suffering!"

Hearing these words, all the Believers knelt on the ground, offering a soft Blessing, "You are with The Lord, and you are with hope..."

With this, the crisis was resolved, yet Holy Maiden Caroline's path forward had only just begun...
