Chapter 142: One Good Trick Conquers All
Chapter 142: One Good Trick Conquers All
The Arctic Ocean, the North Pole.
This was the exact location where Bai Yang and the Godhead had crossed over together, as there was an incredibly minute Space-Time Rift here.
This Space-Time Rift was exceptionally small—absurdly so. Only with the assistance of the Godhead of Lies could one barely glimpse a microscopic fissure.
And yet, this exact fissure was the true reason Bai Yang had been able to cross over.
He had not forgotten his own experiences, and naturally, he could recall the exact location he had passed through.
He had managed to pass through such a tiny, faint rift entirely by relying on the Godhead's unique and subtle nature.
According to Alvin, if a true deity wanted to cross over, they would have to abandon all their divine authority, Divine Nature, and Divine Soul. Only by stripping themselves down to nothing but their Godhead and a sliver of Spirituality could they possibly succeed.
A complete Godhead couldn't possibly squeeze through this rift. The fact that he and the Godhead of Lies had made it through was nothing more than exploiting a very specific loophole.
It had to be understood that a true god's soul was incredibly dense and tangible, possessing terrifying power. It was fundamentally impossible for them to leave the mighty Crystal Wall System that encompassed the Dylan Continent; the Crystal Wall System would detect them and treat it as "absconding with funds."
But Bai Yang was not a god; he was merely a human, so he was judged as permitted to pass. The half-dead Godhead posed no threat, so it too was permitted to pass.Combining the two, Bai Yang—who normally would have been flagged as a Divinity Successor—completely bypassed the detection because he had been immediately crushed to death. Thus, he crossed the Crystal Wall System and arrived in this world.
His lingering Spirituality had forced open the rift between the two worlds, forging this peculiar passage.
This was the very issue that had worried him and Alvin from the start. If the deities of that world truly discovered this place, the endless population of this world would become mere sustenance for those genuinely powerful gods!
Although this world had no Transcendence, and the level of Wish Power was insufficient—making the converted Divine Power rather hollow—the colossal population of this world was enough to make those deities completely ignore such flaws!
This was a population of nearly ten billion! With so many people, the sheer volume could elevate a god from Weak Divinity straight to the absolute pinnacle of Powerful Divine Power!
When that time came, this place would become a battlefield for the gods. As for Bai Yang, he would be kicked aside like trash, just like the previous God of Lies, Higgs.
"All of this is pretty much what we expected, but why is the result a bit off?" Bai Yang scratched his head, gazing at the "god" that had appeared at the North Pole.
This guy was currently lying at the exit, sleeping soundly—but Bai Yang could tell at a glance that this was a deity's self-defense mechanism.
It seemed he had suffered grievous injuries while passing through the channel, to the point where even the outermost layer of warning Divine Power had been absorbed to repair his body.
The reason Bai Yang's expression had changed moments ago was that he sensed a shift in this passage. Yet, he never expected that the "massive" crisis he thought would follow this change would turn out to be nothing more than a minor threat.
"Crown, I've finished investigating!" Alvin's voice rang out. "This is a Demigod. Since I cannot probe his Godhead, I have no way of learning the exact details of his identity and origins, but this is enough!"
"This Demigod sustained catastrophic damage while crossing the Crystal Wall System. He has even entered an involuntary hibernation, completely oblivious to any external threats."
Bai Yang nodded. "Then can we just kill him right now... Tsk, no!"
He immediately vetoed his own suggestion. As a possessor of a Godhead himself, he naturally understood its characteristics.
Indestructibility was one of them. If this Demigod was a subordinate god to some other deity—which was almost a certainty—then his final words and the last sights he saw would be transmitted back along with his Godhead.
Rumor had it that this was designed by the God Above God of the original Dylan Continent. It was meant to prevent deities from dying under mysterious circumstances, which would lead to lost Godheads, Divine Office Imbalances, and massive crises in the world's operation.
Of course, it was even more likely designed just to provoke conflicts among the gods.
Now, it seemed this design also completely blocked their chance of nipping this crisis in the bud.
"Crown, we could seal him, preventing him from transmitting any information outward!" Alvin proposed.
Bai Yang shook his head again. "Sealing won't work either. That kind of seal can't completely sever his connection. The fact that he is still alive will be known, and if enough time passes..."
If you were a Chief God who sent a subordinate to pioneer a new world, and you noticed they weren't dead but hadn't sent any news, would you think they were struggling to survive, or living it up in the new world? Questions of human nature like this didn't even require thought; the answer was obvious. The other party would inevitably send someone else over, or perhaps even descend personally!
"Then what should we do?" Alvin sounded a bit anxious. They couldn't kill him, and they couldn't leave him alive. Weren't they caught between a rock and a hard place?
Bai Yang, however, was still deep in thought.
First of all, he certainly wasn't afraid of the Demigod lying before him. Based on his current reserves of Divine Power, even a deity with Weak Divine Power wouldn't necessarily stand a chance in a fight against him here.
Let alone a Demigod, who was two ranks lower than Weak Divine Power. He wasn't worried about being unable to defeat his opponent; he was worried about the world behind this opponent!
Those truly majestic existences, those genuinely terrifying beings with Powerful Divine Power—they were his real concern.
"Let's find out his origins first. Maybe there'll be an unexpected harvest!" Bai Yang said. He planned to craft a special environment that would compel the other party to tell the truth before he woke up.
Endless Divine Power cascaded from his body. Without hesitation, he spent hundreds of points of Divine Power, immediately beginning to alter and expand the surrounding area!
After all, he was no longer facing ordinary mortals, but a genuine deity. He couldn't be too careful.
"Crown, are you..." Alvin watched Bai Yang's actions with a jolt of horror. "Are you planning to use the same methods we use against Mortals in this world to deal with him?"
"So-called gods are nothing more than mortals with immense power. They all have desires and emotions, they all have their own thoughts—which means they can be deceived!" Bai Yang stated. "Did Higgs never deceive a god?"
Alvin shook his head. "In fact, Crown Higgs certainly did. He even managed to deceive those with Powerful Divine Power, which is exactly why those Divine Pantheons feared him!"
"Exactly. If the power of Lies can deceive even Powerful Divine Power, dealing with a mere Demigod should be a walk in the park, right?" Bai Yang said. "Let's first create a rather special environment. For instance... a Divine Kingdom!"
"A Divine Kingdom? You want to establish your own Divine Pantheon?" Alvin asked in astonishment. "The cost to make a Demigod believe that will be an astronomical figure!"
Bai Yang nodded firmly. "Then so be it. Divine Power is earned to be spent. If I don't spend it now, am I supposed to save it as reparations for those powerful gods in the future?"
He would never do such a thing. This was his world, his exclusive domain. He would never let other deities lay a finger on it—no one was allowed!
To make the act even more convincing, he even utilized millions of points of Wish Power converted by the Godhead to instantly replenish the Divine Power he had just expended.
Then, he cast out this newly recovered Divine Power once more, continuing to sculpt the surrounding space!
This time, his main strategy was simply flexing his immense wealth. The Divine Power he had stockpiled during his time in Ameri finally had a proper use.
The Angel descent and salvation spectacle in Miami, in particular, had helped him harvest an exorbitant amount of Wish Power. If he wanted to, he could travel anywhere in Ameri—or any Christian nation in the world—and easily rake in another unbelievably massive fortune of Wish Power!
Pouring in this much Divine Power, even a fake Divine Kingdom could be forged into a real one, not to mention that Bai Yang's creation wasn't even entirely fake!
In this region of the North Pole, a specific zone was cloaked in Divine Power, forcing everything around it—including the satellites in the sky—to completely ignore its existence.
Then, within this zone, mountain peaks thrust up from the ground. Terrifying Divine Thunder brewed and condensed among them, forming powerful bolts of lightning that blanketed the sky.
Around his body, a special pool of lightning formed, and creatures composed entirely of electricity emerged within it.
All of this was constructed purely from Divine Power. It burned through ten points of Divine Power every minute—an absolute money pit!
Only Bai Yang would dare to spend so recklessly. Such a burn rate would make even deities with Medium Divine Power on the Dylan Continent cry out in sheer extravagance!
But Bai Yang didn't feel there was anything wrong with this at all. He smiled and said to Alvin, "My greatest ability is shaping these falsehoods. So, even when facing the gods, why wouldn't it work?"
"As long as I'm proficient enough and invest enough resources, one good trick is all it takes to conquer the world!"
Alvin bowed his head. "With this level of consumption, even if you claimed to have Powerful Divine Power, many deities would believe you!"
After all, Bai Yang's expenditure was far too absurd. A single instance like this could burn through the entire life savings of a deity with Weak Divinity. Even a deity with Powerful Divine Power would feel the sting, wouldn't they?
"It's fine. These are actually just Lies too; the true consumption is only a tenth of what it seems!" Bai Yang said with a beaming smile. "Only the immediate vicinity is real, but if I wanted to, I could turn it all into reality with a single thought!"
"This is the true power of Lies!"
"No, this should be called the power of True Creation!"
