From God of Lies to Lord of All Worlds

Chapter 12: The Warrior of Vengeance

Chapter 12: The Warrior of Vengeance

"Your will, Your Grace!" Alvin bowed respectfully before Bai Yang.

Then, the divine power belonging to the God of Lies began pouring into the man before them.

Even if he was only a deity of weak divine power, he was still a god!

And this infusion of power was far more extravagant than that raven feather containing mere traces of divinity!

Right before their eyes, the bracelet originally made of grass and wood gradually transformed into a twisted wooden bracelet under the nourishment of this divine power.

And this bracelet immediately began absorbing Ivan's blood.

The blood flowing from his wounds was now being absorbed by the bracelet, which then began feeding back into Ivan.

His weakened body, nearing death, slowly recovered under this miraculous power.

Not only was it recovering, but it continued to grow.

This growth manifested as increased strength and a more robust physique, while the wooden bracelet gradually turned dark and became as hard as stone during this transformation. As for Ivan in his dream, he stared in astonishment at the "deity" before him.

It was a man holding a torch and spear, with cruel yet solemn eyes, looking at Ivan with an appreciative expression!

"After so many years, someone has finally chosen to make sacrifices to me!" He looked at Ivan and spoke softly, "So, what do you want? What can you offer me? My believer!"

Hearing this, Ivan knelt and kowtowed, saying slowly, "I will make your flames become the arbiters of war! I will make your spear pierce through decayed fortresses! My backbone will become your arrows, bringing you tonight's great sacrifice!"

Ivan clearly knew that his tribe originated from the Maya Empire of Central America, not from the Inca or Aztec Empires here.

Because of this, their tribal god was the sacrificial god Cocijo, also the god of war and destruction!

For such a deity, war, destruction, and blood sacrifices were the best offerings!

Hearing this, Cocijo before him laughed heartily, "Hahahahaha! Excellent! The faith of the Cempasúchil god clan flows through you, the bloodline of the divine king courses in your veins!"

"I shall bestow upon you the power of the Celestial Warrior, making the copper-colored land synonymous with the gods!"

This god of sacrifice and war possessed the most terrifying countenance, with ancient war songs echoing around him, carrying a primitive desolation and sorrow that seemed to infect Ivan with the same mournful tune.

These songs came to his side, entered the bracelet in his hand, turning it into a black bracelet.

Then, Ivan Ruiz slowly awakened from his dream.

He looked around somewhat confused, then frantically felt around his limbs.

Ivan remembered clearly that his limbs had been broken and he had been lying on the ground waiting to die.

But now, his limbs had recovered, with only his torn clothes and the burnt edges reminding him that this wasn't his imagination.

Feeling the abundant power in his body and gripping the black bracelet on his wrist, he seemed to understand something.

"Layla... is this you protecting me?" Ivan said.

The next moment, he tightly grasped the bracelet, his eyes fixed fiercely on the "Red Mansion" before him!

"Layla, I will rescue you, in the name of the War God Cocijo!"

Ivan could feel the power within his body - a terrifying strength he had never encountered before.

The great power flowing in his blood even allowed him to hear all the surrounding sounds from where he stood.

He could hear that throughout this building before him, there were sounds that made blood boil everywhere, baptisms of desire and shouts everywhere, terrible screams and bone-deep wails everywhere!

And among these sounds, Ivan quickly heard a familiar voice: "What are you doing? Ah! Ah... Ivan, save me!"

When he heard these words, what little reason remained in Ivan's mind completely vanished!

"Layla!" he shouted loudly, as if wanting his voice to reach her ears.

Then he charged madly toward the building before him!

"Hey, nigger, did you hear something?" Inside the "Red Mansion" at this moment, the two patrolling Gray Wolf gang members were talking to each other.

"What sounds? Just the usual noises from the building?" the black enforcer said indifferently. "Haven't you gotten used to it after all this time?"

"What I meant was..." Before he could finish speaking, the door beside them was completely shattered by a violent figure!

The crashing sound of falling stones startled them - had a car crashed in here? Could cars even fit in this alley?

As they thought this, they saw the man before them looking at them with extremely cold eyes.

"The Celestial Warriors of the Maya tribe use the blood and heads of their enemies to sacrifice to the gods!"

Ivan said softly, looking at the black man before him. He recognized him - this was the guy who had just shot and tortured him!

Thinking of this, he didn't hesitate any longer, directly reaching out to grab the man's body and smashing it against the ground!

This was a living person, but in his hands, it was like foam - if what came out weren't blood clots and human remains!

"Oh! Shit!"

The other black enforcer saw this scene, his eyes going wide. He raised his gun, about to empty a magazine into him!

But he was too panicked, even forgetting to release the safety, so the bullets couldn't fire immediately.

Then he never got the chance to fire bullets, as half of his companion's corpse was thrown at him, smashing him into two pieces as well.

The sense of security brought by this pure strength would have made Ivan proudly stand still to savor the moment before.

But now, he had no intention of stopping at all. Instead, he raised his head, frantically listening to the surrounding sounds, trying to hear any familiar voice.

But as the door was smashed open, the entire building seemed to have been put on pause - all sounds ceased...

He could only hear chaotic footsteps and disordered, panicked breathing!

"Layla..." he muttered the name, stepping forward.

And as the door opened, a group of Gray Wolf gang enforcers surged out from inside!

They held pistols and submachine guns, all aimed at Ivan who had just reached the doorway.

Being gangsters, of course they didn't need any reason to open fire. Looking at this man and the corpse pieces at his feet, these people had already raised their gun muzzles and begun spraying bullets!

This was San Diego, a city on the US-Mexico border, where chaos and violence were eternal colors!

But unfortunately, they weren't dealing with a madman delusional enough to break in here, but a warrior of the sacrificial god Cocijo.

As a deity of cruelty and war, how could his warrior fear such attacks?

"Clink, clink, clink..." The bullets hitting his body didn't produce the dull thud of penetration, but rather an impact sound as if hitting metal.

Seeing this scene, panic and fear spread through the crowd!

Meanwhile, Ivan tore several wooden rods from a nearby door frame, and like javelins, began throwing them at these gang enforcers!

The numerous enforcers seemed to be surrounded by him alone, watching in horror as this man, completely unharmed by bullet attacks, threw the wooden rods in his hands.

"Ah!" The first person was impaled by a wooden rod, which passed through his body and embedded in the ground.

This was clearly a blunt wooden rod, but in Ivan's hands it became sharp enough to pierce through concrete ground!!

"Devil, he's a devil!" Seeing this, someone shouted loudly, dropping his gun and trying to flee.

But his escape speed was clearly no match for Ivan's movement speed!

The avenging warrior threw the wooden rods in his hands, impaling these people one by one onto the ground!

They hung in place like sacrificial offerings, not dead for the moment, but certainly not alive either.

"Layla, I'm coming!" he muttered, stepping over the still-wailing bodies of these people, and entered the interior of the "Red Mansion."
