Chapter 612: Turmoil (8)
"Okay, I want to work hard, earn a lot of money, create my own brand, and start a company..." Qiao Mo spoke passionately, beginning to share her dreams."You don’t need to make money, as long as you’re happy."
"Huh?" Qiao Mo didn’t quite catch that.
"As long as I’m earning for our family, it’s enough." He spoke softly, and finally, Qiao Mo showed a hint of a smile.
"That won’t do, I need to earn money as well..."
The two chatted intermittently for a while, then Fu Nancheng, seeing how late it was and worrying that she might overexert herself, urged her to rest.
Qiao Mo asked about Qiao Dehou and Yang Peiyun, and even though it was a bit awkward, she also asked about Qiao Yun’s illness before hanging up the phone.
After hanging up, Qiao Mo sighed lightly and refocused her attention on the pile of fabrics in front of her.
No matter what, she couldn’t give up because of someone as insignificant as Alina.
With that thought, she started rummaging through the pile of fabrics again. However, since she had been selecting for a long time before, it was becoming even more difficult to choose.
As the night grew darker, it was already 1:30 a.m.
Qiao Mo, fighting against her heavy eyelids, continued her search. The only comforting thought was that this place was open 24 hours.
Nearby, a young sales guy seemed to be unable to watch anymore and approached her, asking in English, "Can I help? What kind of fabric are you looking for?"
Qiao Mo hesitated for a moment before thanking him but did not refuse, "I need this kind of texture... dark blue, gray, black fabrics... or something like this."
The young guy nodded and began to select earnestly.
However, as he wasn’t very knowledgeable about the fabrics, his selections were decent in quality but didn’t completely meet Qiao Mo’s requirements, which gave her a bit of a headache.
Thinking it over, Qiao Mo directly asked if he could help sort the fabrics by color from this huge pile, and she could then choose from there, which would save a lot of time for her.
The young guy gladly agreed and quickly helped Qiao Mo.
Several other salespeople in the mall also came to help, two girls and another guy, all very friendly. Among them, one girl and the boy were more knowledgeable about the fabrics; after Qiao Mo explained, the two of them roughly understood what she meant.
From the fabrics selected by the other two, they helped Qiao Mo narrow it down by two-thirds. This reduced Qiao Mo’s selection range to about a twentieth or even a thirtieth of before, making her work much faster.
It wasn’t until around 4 a.m., when the sky started to lighten, that Qiao Mo finally found all the fabrics she needed with everyone’s help, and her results were even richer than before because of their assistance.
"I got it... it’s done... thank you, thank you all." Qiao Mo said, a bit choked up, and as she stepped down from the counter, she gave each of them a big hug.
They all smiled and nodded at her, and although they also had foreign faces, they were much friendlier than Alina.
Qiao Mo put the fabrics in a basket, and a young guy weighed them for her before she paid. He even gave her a few extra pieces of fabric, saying he didn’t know if they might be of help to her.
Qiao Mo thanked him and went to the expensive section to choose some other fabrics, buttons, and decorations; each of them gifted her a little something, making her feel especially grateful.
