Chapter 268: The Debt She Owes, I’ll Repay (1)
That night, Qiao Mo still couldn’t get the guest room key.So she insisted on sleeping on the sofa again.
Fu Nancheng still didn’t bother with her, but in the middle of the night, he picked her up and took her back to the bed.
Qiao Mo woke up early the next morning, her entire face dark with anger.
She was quite upset.
"Behave, stop making a fuss." Fu Nancheng reached out and caught her pink fist pounding on his chest.
Qiao Mo, still not appeased, sat up with her hair disheveled and kicked him a few more times: "The guest room key was never sent away, was it?!"
Fu Nancheng rubbed his temples and resignedly sat up.
He had been sleeping late these days and wanted to get a little more rest, but hadn’t expected this little troublemaker to cause such a ruckus.
"Uncle Zhong said it was sent away."
Qiao Mo didn’t believe it and kicked his thigh hard with her white, tender foot: "As if I’d believe you, you just want to take advantage of me."
Fu Nancheng opened his languid eyes, grabbed one of her ankles, and raised an eyebrow saying calmly, "I do want to take advantage of you."
"You!!!" Qiao Mo glared at him, her eyes still holding a few bloodshot traces.
She had intended to stay awake all night yesterday, refusing to compromise no matter what.
But unexpectedly, by two in the morning, she couldn’t hold out any longer.
She ended up falling asleep!
Thinking about this, she was filled with rage.
She hated herself for lacking even a bit of courage!
And lacking willpower.
Fu Nancheng just thought she was like an angry rabbit wanting to bite someone, extraordinarily adorable.
He reached out, pulling her into his arms, and said softly, "How about I let you get back at me?"
"You... who’s interested in taking advantage of you!"
Qiao Mo just felt she couldn’t win any argument with him, her chest rising and falling in anger.
It wasn’t until eleven in the morning that Fu Nancheng finally sent her to the school.
As soon as the car stopped, Qiao Mo was ready to get out.
But Fu Nancheng stopped her with a deep voice: "Xiao Mo."
Hearing the touch of seriousness in his tone, Qiao Mo turned back to look at him without speaking.
He gazed at her for a few seconds before instructing, "If anything happens, call me."
She felt slightly stunned, not understanding what he meant?
Meeting his eyes, Qiao Mo felt uneasy, only sensing that he seemed somewhat serious.
"Did something happen?"
After a moment of silence, a hint of gentleness appeared in his eyes: "You can call even if nothing happens."
"Hmph..."
Qiao Mo made a disdainful sound before getting out of the car.
Watching her back, the warmth in his gaze gradually faded: "Fifteen, keep an eye on her."
"Yes, young master."
...
Three days later, Qiao Mo planned to go to the fabric market to check out materials for suits.
But just as she walked out the school gate, a white van suddenly stopped beside her, the tires screeching harshly against the ground.
Qiao Mo instinctively took a few steps back.
In an instant, the car door opened, and several burly men in black suits and sunglasses jumped out.
One of them blocked Qiao Mo’s path, expressionless: "Miss Qiao, please come with us."
"Who are you people?" Qiao Mo frowned, sensing they were not well-intentioned.
"Miss Qiao, please." The black-suited man pointed towards the car door.
Qiao Mo discreetly assessed her surroundings; there were four men around her, each seemingly capable of handling two of her.
Running seemed impossible, but if she screamed, would anyone come to help?
Before she could think of a solution, she felt a chill at her waist, as if something were pressed against her lower back.
"I advise Miss Qiao to be smart, or don’t blame me for being rude." One of the men had already positioned himself behind her at some point, very close, with a silvery knife, its cold glimmer poised against her back, seemingly pressing slightly into her skin.
