Chapter 254: Not Allowed to Refuse (1)

Until he sent her back to the dormitory, Qiao Mo’s cheeks still carried a hint of blush.Even though she maintained a facade of calm, her fair skin betrayed her, unable to hide it.

Fu Nancheng escorted her downstairs. Qiao Mo, clutching her skirt, looked at him uneasily and softly said, "I’m leaving now."

He stuck one hand in his pocket, leaning against the car door: "Okay."

Qiao Mo glanced at him again, sensing some detachment, but still nodded and turned to leave.

Fu Nancheng silently watched her back, saying nothing.

"Qiao Mo."

After Qiao Mo had walked three or four meters away, his voice sounded again behind her.

She turned around and fell into a warm embrace.

"One more hug."

Qiao Mo hesitated, quietly forgetting to react.

Fu Nancheng lowered his eyes, hiding the reluctance within them, wishing he could meld her into his very being.

Numerous passing students turned their heads, glancing over.

Qiao Mo softly said, "Alright, I need to go up."

He gently let her go, without further entanglement.

Qiao Mo looked at him, then slowly turned to go upstairs.

Only when her silhouette was no longer visible did Fu Nancheng get into the car and leave.

He opened his computer, logged into the school forum, and saw the photos posted there, a cold glint flashed in his eyes.

Then he traced the address, sending someone to investigate.

Once arrangements were in place, he directly hacked into the school’s forum, finally closing the computer to ease his mind.

Back in the dormitory.

Qiao Mo sat at the table, lost in thought.

What was wrong with her?

Clearly she hated him to the core.

Yet she was always ensnared by his allure.

Wishing never to see him again, but upon their encounter she couldn’t help but soften.

Her lips seemed to retain his warmth, and her ears started reddening again.

Qiao Mo shook her head, he must be too captivating, and thus she was always bewitched by him!

Gently touching the red mark on her neck, the scenes from that day flashed before her eyes again; her gaze grew colder, she must be bewitched.

She lowered her eyes to hide their complexity, suddenly feeling inexplicable annoyance.

...

Three days later, Qiao Mo had just emerged from the library after looking up some information.

She received a call from Fu Nancheng.

After a moment’s hesitation, she finally picked up.

"Where are you?" Standing by the window of his office, his voice gentle as he passionately longed for her.

"Just came out of the library."

He remained silent, so did Qiao Mo.

Rarely did she voluntarily want to speak with him.

Qiao Mo held the phone while walking on a shady path. Two days ago, it had snowed, leaving thick layers of snow along the path sides.

"Have you missed me?" He couldn’t resist asking.

Qiao Mo stopped, coolly replied, "Mr. Fu, perhaps you asked the wrong person."

Silence fell on the other end.

A cold glint appeared in Fu Nancheng’s eyes.

Seeing his silence, Qiao Mo softly asked again, "Did you... need something from me?"

Her tone cooled a bit, his chest felt stifled.

She was like a touch-sensitive plant; with the slightest hint, she wrapped her heart tightly away.

Not hearing a reply for a long time, Qiao Mo felt slightly hesitant.

Was he... angry?

"Fu Nancheng... are you still listening?"

"I’ll pick you up at six tonight; there’s a banquet I want you to attend with me." Pulling back his thoughts, Fu Nancheng spoke with a deep voice.

He wasn’t rushing; whether she loved or not, ultimately, she was his, his alone.

Hearing this, Qiao Mo frowned slightly.

Tonight she was supposed to meet someone with Han Zirui, an appointment made three days ago.

"Fu Nancheng, I have plans tonight..."

She refused straightforwardly, seemingly devoid of any reluctance.
