Chapter 677: Do You Still Want to See Him?

James Grant’s hand hanging by his side slightly tightened.He instinctively looked towards Evelyn Clayton, only to see her eyes cold and indifferent, silently gazing at him, as if telling James that she had acknowledged Shane Sinclair’s words.

James took a deep breath.

After a long pause, he suppressed the tremble in his voice, slowly opening his mouth, struggling to say, "...Miss Sinclair, could you give me a chance? I would like to talk to you alone."

James Grant’s compromise took Evelyn by surprise.

It was the first time in her life she had seen James Grant compromise.

James’s sudden display of weakness even surprised Shane Sinclair. He instinctively turned to look at Evelyn, with a hint of inquiry.

Evelyn lowered her eyes slightly, indifferently saying, "Director Grant, if you want to talk to me alone, make an appointment at The Sinclair Group when we return to the country. I’ll consider it when I have time."

After speaking, Evelyn looked at Shane and calmly said, "Brother, let’s go."

Shane’s initially bad mood brightened immediately after hearing Evelyn’s word "Brother."ook off, Evelyn put both her phones on airplane mode.

Shane, noticing this, chuckled softly, "There’s Wi-Fi on the plane, no need."

"It’s okay, I want some peace." Evelyn almost smiled bitterly, "The few calls I’ve received these days have gotten worse each time."

Shane gazed at Evelyn for a long time, lips slightly moved, "I’m sorry, I should have come with you."

Evelyn smiled with her lips pursed, "It’s nothing, actually it was quite an exciting journey, consider it an eye-opener."

Shane silently laughed a little, then withdrew some of his smile, his eyes testing as he looked at Evelyn.

"Evelyn, do you still want to see James Grant again?"
