As Shirley Owens finished speaking, James Grant abruptly stood up.He turned to leave, but Harrison Grant’s face darkened: "Where are you going?"

"Something’s come up." James, reluctant to say more, only wanted to find Evelyn Clayton, "We’ll talk another day."

Dismissing Harrison Grant’s anger, James donned his damp coat, changed his shoes, opened his umbrella, and vanished back into the rain.
