Chapter 663: Hot Spring Resort
Chapter 663: Hot Spring Resort
After a long silence, Nora Northwood figured it out.
She said casually, "Are you busy this afternoon? If not, let’s go soak in the hot springs. Mom invested in a resort not too long ago, but I haven’t been there yet."
With the atmosphere set like this, how could Jasper Sinclair dare say he’s busy?
So, in the afternoon, they drove themselves, following the route mapped out by Gaode Maps, to the so-called resort.
The place is in the suburbs, quite secluded.
The resort caters to mid-to-high end patrons, and upon closer inspection, it’s aimed at a group of artists.
Perfumers, writers, singers... any profession that requires inspiration to achieve success is collectively referred to as artists by them.
Upon arrival, Nora was completely surprised.
Rather than calling it a "village," it’s more accurate to say it’s a manor, way more upscale than the hot spring venues in the city center.
The hotel has an understated French luxury style; you can see shell chairs and lacquered coffee tables everywhere.
The manager greeted them from afar and exchanged a few harmless pleasantries.
Outside the revolving glass door, another sports car pulled up after them, and Nora recognized the visitor—it was Vincent Morgan.
"Morgan, what a coincidence."
Nora feels a sense of gratefulness towards Vincent, as he often helped her when she was down.
Plus, with the Elaine connection, the two were considered half-siblings.
At least, that’s how she thought of it.
Seeing the three were already acquainted, the manager called over a server to seat them at the same table.
Jasper sat down next to Nora and lifted a cup of tea in front of him, taking a sip.
Nora glanced at him, wanting to mention that she had used that cup.
Jasper naturally knew, but this was his indirect way of declaring his claim, especially in front of Vincent.
Reflecting on the past, when he and Nora were going through a divorce, this person definitely added to his troubles!
The waiter timely brought up desserts, laid out in a wooden nine-grid tray, which at first glance, looked like they were having hot pot.
Nora leaned forward and tasted a piece, finding it a bit greasy.
She washed it down with tea, cutting through the cloying sweetness, thinking: I’ll bring Lily Sloan next time.
Lily is famous for her sweet tooth back at VK.
Suddenly, Nora felt a hand at her waist.
In the deep spring, she wore only a thin blouse, whose hem forms an inverted V, with her waist faintly exposed.
She figured: someone’s possessiveness is flaring up again.
"Morgan, did you come by yourself today?"
"I arranged to meet a friend from the business world, to unwind and discuss some matters."
Speak of the devil, and he shall appear.
The "friend" Vincent mentioned was actually Jenson Sinclair.
Jenson hadn’t shown up at The Sinclair Residence for several days and had apparently adopted a slicked back hairstyle, shedding some of his genteel aura.
This time, the atmosphere became strange.
Nora wasn’t fond of this little brother from the Sinclair Family, casually finding an excuse, "Since you’re discussing business, Jasper and I shouldn’t intrude. Let’s meet up another time."
She didn’t even give Vincent a chance to ask them to stay, directly pulling Jasper off the shell chairs to leave.
The server standing by, waiting for a call, hurriedly approached as they moved, "I’ve prepared hot spring attire for you two, please proceed."
Being able to work here, the server is adept at picking up cues; how could they not sense Nora’s mood?
After they left, Vincent straightforwardly remarked, "Your relationship with your cousin seems different from the rumors."
"What are the rumors?"
Jenson was genuinely unaware; who dared to gossip about the Sinclair Family’s affairs?
