Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 591: Midnight Raid

Chapter 591: Midnight Raid

On the third night at the Hutchinson Family, Nora Northwood received an unexpected message.

"I’m downstairs."

At eleven o’clock at night, the wind and snow were rugged.

Nora could hardly believe her eyes. Could Jasper Sinclair really have such a "rule-breaking" side?

She leaned half against the glass window, looking at the deserted street. A plain-colored Maybach was parked with a man leaning against it.

The man wore a light gray coat, merging with the cool crescent moon in the sky, creating a momentary illusion.

Through the window, Nora vaguely saw Jasper taking something out of his pocket, and then, a flame partially enclosed by his hand, briefly illuminated his features before quickly dying out.

In the semi-transparent glass, she saw her own expression, pondered for a moment, then dashed out.

Downstairs.

Jasper felt that the time waiting downstairs was the longest five minutes of his life.

Seeing the person he was waiting for arrive, he stubbed out his cigarette. "Really? You don’t mind making me wait this long." His voice was somewhat hoarse, perhaps from not having had water for too long.

"I don’t mind."

Nora smiled and threw herself into his arms, feeling his warmth surrounded by his strong arms.

After quite a while, she lifted her face from his chest, unable to suppress the upward curve at the corners of her mouth.

They locked eyes for a few seconds. Jasper lowered his head, wrapped one hand around her neck, and used the other to hold her chin, kissing her forcefully.

Nora, enveloped in his coat, felt her body go soft as they kissed, unable to stand firm. She could only cling tightly to his collar, preventing herself from falling.

Even with the most exaggerated imagination, she never thought Jasper would appear before her at this moment.

The journey must have taken about five hours.

He drove himself, travel-worn, his whole body exposed to the wind and frost, with only his lips and tongue remaining warm.

It was only when Nora was out of breath that he let go.

"Nora, when you return to Stanton City, I’ll come to pick you up." He whispered into her ear.

"Director Sinclair, don’t you have work?"

Nora rose on her tiptoes, wrapping her arms around his neck, amidst the mingled sounds of their breathing, she heard his light laughter.

"Work isn’t as important as my wife."

In principle, with the year-end holiday approaching, everyone was joyfully anticipating the break.

But Jasper was different. The busier his work became, the more special it was for him to take the time to make this trip for Nora.

He pushed her slightly away, noticing her thin clothing and feeling reluctant. "Go upstairs, seeing you is enough."

"Where are you going?"

"I have to go back and reach the company before eight tomorrow morning."

He came in haste and left in haste.

"I thought you would stay." Nora lowered her head, dissatisfied with the brevity of their meeting.

This time, the roles of comforter and comfortee were reversed. She asked, "Aren’t you afraid I’ll fall asleep and not see my phone?"

"Then I’ll just wait downstairs for a while."

Hearing this, Nora initiated a kiss, engulfing in that kiss all the unspoken words.

For a moment, she wanted to leave with this man, but it was only a fleeting thought, not enough for her to abandon her sense of propriety.

"Go upstairs, we’ll see each other again soon."

Despite the myriad of reluctances in his heart, Jasper knew he couldn’t delay any longer.

Such a heart-wrenching long-distance relationship continued for another three days.
