Chapter 581: Sleeping Peacefully All Night
Chapter 581: Sleeping Peacefully All Night
When Nora Northwood began to doze off, the two of them retraced their original path back to the villa.
That night, they fell asleep in each other’s arms.
In Jasper Sinclair’s embrace, he held a petite body as if he had regained a precious treasure.
"Nora, I will always choose you unwaveringly."
A voice so soft, nearly imperceptible, unsure if the person in his arms heard it.
Of course, it didn’t matter.
As time ticked away in their deep slumber, the distant horizon gradually turned pale, swept by the first light of dawn.
Nora was awakened by the light outside the window and groggily climbed out of bed to draw the curtains.
When she lay back in bed, she moved Jasper Sinclair’s arm from its original place, changing to a new position.
Having rested on it all night, it must be numb.
Jasper Sinclair had an extremely regular biological clock; at seven-thirty, he woke up precisely, not a second off. His eyes were clear, not at all like someone who stayed up late.
Nora tugged at him, mumbling, "Jasper, stay and sleep a bit longer with me."
Her freshly awakened voice sounded like she was being coquettish, making Jasper Sinclair’s heart melt.
Then, he wrapped her in his arms again, whispered by her ear, "Okay."
Receiving a definite reply, Nora peacefully closed her eyes and continued to sleep.
Jasper Sinclair’s fingers brushed through her hair, the contrast between black and white forming a vivid ink painting.
He almost greedily inhaled the fragrance on her body, the scent he had longed for countless days and nights.
Suddenly, he recalled memories long buried in his heart.
As Nora slept deeply, Jasper Sinclair gently pried open her fingers, realizing how tightly she held him.
He left the bedroom and called the butler on the intercom, "Prepare two breakfasts. Mrs. was chilled last night, it would be best to warm her stomach."
Uncle Yates replied over the phone, "Understood."
Immediately afterward, he dealt with several work tasks on WeChat, urging Louis Hayes, "The thermistor testing needs to be completed quickly."
The backlog of work didn’t allow him to indulge in pleasure, yet looking at Nora’s sleeping face, his eyes clearly showed reluctance.
After much consideration, he could only take the laptop into the bedroom and onto the bed.
He truly couldn’t bear to leave Nora sleeping alone; having reconciled, he’s also become clingy.
Jasper Sinclair rarely handled work on the bed; he always believed it was disrespectful to the job and against the Sinclair Family’s rules.
This time, he made an exception for Nora.
After two hours passed, he had to wake Nora up. They had a noon appointment, and it would take at least an hour to drive back to the city, so they needed to prepare in advance.
"Nora, it’s almost ten o’clock."
His voice was deep, tinged with a gentle hesitance.
Nora was indeed sleepy, grunted in response, didn’t pay him any mind, and instead changed to a more intimate posture, clearly not intending to get up.
Jasper Sinclair placed the laptop and phone on the bedside table, then slowly leaned down and kissed her at the corner of her lips, "Time to get up, darling."
At this, Nora opened her eyes.
Her dazed expression, unsure whether she was not fully awake or couldn’t believe the scene before her.
This made her even more endearing.
"What are you thinking?" Jasper Sinclair’s voice lifted at the end, "Hmm?"
