Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 569: Her Yin and Yang

Chapter 569: Her Yin and Yang

Nora Northwood’s originally sweet smile completely disappeared at this moment.

She was speechless for a moment.

Strangely enough, she clearly remembered that Jasper Sinclair used to dislike socializing at vanity fairs and attending meaningless banquets. Why had they been encountering each other frequently in such settings over the past few months?

After a while, Jasper Sinclair broke the silence first, "You have a good relationship with the young Miss Winslow?"

"What?"

Nora Northwood didn’t understand who the "young Miss Winslow" he mentioned was.

He slightly lifted his gaze, took a glance in the direction of the right front view, and then his gaze calmly returned.

So, Nora understood.

It turned out the person she had been chatting with was the heir of the Warren Family. No wonder she knew about the reporters who sneaked in outside.

In everyone’s subjective consciousness, they all thought the so-called "heir" would be a man. Now, it seemed everyone guessed wrong.

"We just chatted a few words, not really acquainted."

Nora Northwood had no intention of forging connections and told Jasper Sinclair honestly.

At this moment, the look of boredom on her face was even more vivid than her earlier smile, like her true self.

Jasper Sinclair could only comfort himself in this way, silently lifting the corner of his lip, thinking that this idea was too frightening, or perhaps, another way to put it.

The thought process of an infatuated admirer... not too far off.

"Your skirt is out of place."

Nora tilted her head to look, realizing that indeed the hem of her sandy gold dress was not properly arranged, yet her manners did not allow her to bend down and adjust it.

Just as she turned her head back, Jasper Sinclair had already crouched down gracefully, pulled out the thin silk hidden at the bottom, and tidily arranged it.

His movements were seamless, as if he had done it a thousand times.

Compared to his natural demeanor, Nora’s back was upright, every nerve from top to bottom on high alert.

There were probably not many people on this earth who could make the head of the Sinclair Family lower his head!

Jasper Sinclair stood up straight again, took a tiny step back to create an optimal distance between them, and set his gaze on Nora Northwood.

"This color suits you very well."

"So, is that supposed to be a compliment?"

"You can understand it that way."

The air was filled with a light fragrance, hard to tell if it was coming from the banquet hall or from Nora herself.

Suddenly, Jasper Sinclair realized they had been apart too long; he was almost unable to recognize Nora Northwood’s scent.

By today’s standards, this was not a good thing!

Elaine approached, finding the young couple together, casting a slight shadow on her face.

Ever since she knew Jasper Sinclair let Nora Northwood live in the small villa, she hadn’t been happy!

How could her beloved daughter live in such a small place?

"Jasper, fancy running into you here."

Jasper Sinclair was such an astute person that he sensed something was off the moment she spoke.

"Aunt Hutchinson, I came with Grandma."

"Aunt Sinclair is getting old. If you’re not by her side, you might be seen as unfilial in others’ eyes."

Elaine released her distinctive form of sarcasm just right; Jasper Sinclair realized she was standing up for Nora Northwood.

Only the person who tied the knot can undo it.

He said to Nora Northwood, "Nora, Grandma has been talking about you lately. Can you help me take care of her for a bit?"

Jasper Sinclair’s original intent was to send Nora away as he had some matters to discuss with Elaine.

Nora also roughly understood his meaning and did not refuse.
