Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 537: Farewell, Grandma Sinclair

Chapter 537: Farewell, Grandma Sinclair

"Why is Grandma Sinclair in the hospital?" Nora Northwood’s red lips slightly parted, and the unwitting concern she showed was genuine and not feigned.

Jasper Sinclair inexplicably laughed, but his smile was not friendly.

Before, she used to affectionately call her "Grandma" just like him. Now, she had to add the surname before the address, clearly indicating that she not only wanted to cut ties with him but also with the Sinclair Family.

"You know, Grandma’s heart hasn’t been very good. When will you be free? I’ll have someone pick you up."

Nora looked down at her watch, "At eleven o’clock, have the driver come directly to VK. I still have a meeting here, that’s all for now, goodbye." She quickly finished speaking and hurriedly hung up the phone.

The expressions of everyone else in the meeting room varied, but all were eager to gossip.

Nora didn’t want to bring her personal feelings into the open, so she glossed over it with "let’s continue with the meeting," pulling everyone’s attention back to the workplace.

Grandma Sinclair treated her like a granddaughter, so emotionally and rationally, she had to make this trip, and besides, it would be the perfect end to everything.

The blazing sun was overhead.

As it approached eleven.

A stretch Bentley was already parked downstairs at VK. Before leaving the office, Nora repeatedly reminded herself that no matter what, she couldn’t change her mind about the divorce.

Hesitating only adds to the chaos; she understood this well.

As the second hand finished its last rotation, Nora appeared downstairs at the company, accurately finding the Sinclair family’s vehicle.

When she approached, she found the rear car door was locked, so she had to open the passenger door.

The moment she touched the door handle, the passenger window rolled halfway down.

The man’s well-defined jawline came into view, his thin lips parted slightly as a deep voice drifted out, "Get in."

Nora didn’t expect that the driver picking her up was Jasper Sinclair himself, but given the situation, she could only sit in the passenger seat and close the car door.

Both remained silent, and the eerie atmosphere lingered in the quiet car cabin as Nora turned her head to the right, pretending to admire the scenery on both sides of the road.

Grandma Sinclair had not yet been discharged, so they were heading towards the hospital.

The moment she got out of the car, Nora faintly smelled the scent of disinfectant in the air.

A hint of worry appeared on her face, noticed by Jasper Sinclair.

"Grandma became like this after she learned about our divorce. Just talk to her a bit when you see her; I’ll handle the rest."

Nora snapped back to reality, her worry replacing with indifference and distance.

She pushed the door open, and as soon as she set foot in the hospital room, she heard Grandma Sinclair’s voice.

"Is it Nora coming to see me?"

Grandma Sinclair was half lying on the hospital bed, surrounded by medical equipment showing various data, appearing seriously ill.

Seeing this, Nora’s eyes uncontrollably welled up with tears.

"Grandma."

She wanted to say sorry; if she knew things would turn out this way, she wouldn’t have let the media fabricate the truth.

Grandma Sinclair grasped Nora’s delicate hand, using the same old trick, "Nora, it was me who brought you into the Sinclair family. If Jasper did something wrong, tell me. I beg you to give him another chance; don’t rush into the divorce, okay?"

From the beginning, Grandma Sinclair knew the young girl responded better to kindness than toughness, unlike her cold grandson.

As expected, the moment the old lady pleaded with her, Nora’s heart softened completely.
