Chapter 499: Limited Edition Bestseller
Chapter 499: Limited Edition Bestseller
VK.
The e-commerce department manager approached Nora Northwood, "President Northwood, we’ve received an order at the backend."
"Is there a problem?"
Nora put down the fragrance in her hand, her gaze resting on the person in front of her.
"The order quantity is quite large, fearing it’s malicious intent from a competitor, I need to consult you."
"How large?"
"Seventy thousand." At the end, the person added, "It’s for the Qixi Festival limited edition set."
The Qixi Festival limited edition is only sold in quantities of a hundred thousand, and the backend inventory is critically low, far from meeting this customer’s reserved quantity.
"Get me the customer’s information."
Nora has been in the fragrance industry for over a year and has contacts for most responsible parties.
Perhaps, it can be cross-checked.
But she didn’t believe any brand would use such a foolish method to engage in malicious competition.
The e-commerce manager had already pulled up the data, and upon hearing the instructions, immediately handed over the information.
Nora’s eyes quickly skimmed over the string of digits, all too familiar.
She looked up again and said to the person in front of her, "You don’t need to ship this order, I’ll handle it."
The manager’s heart settled, and they left Nora’s office.
The enclosed space returned to silence.
Nora opened her phone’s blacklist and removed Jasper Sinclair’s number from it.
"It’s Nora Northwood," she announced herself.
"Pulled me out of the little black room?"
Through the receiver, Nora heard a light chuckle. How could she not understand the man’s insinuation?
"Cancel your order, otherwise it will affect the online rating of the VK flagship store."
Jasper didn’t understand, but obediently complied, speaking with a lazy tone, "Join me for a meal, as a Qixi Festival makeup."
Nora was hesitating whether to take this opportunity to thank him for his considerate care last time when a message arrived on her phone at this crucial juncture.
From Elaine, asking if she was free tonight.
Between the two, she naturally chose the latter and thus declined Jasper’s invitation: "Let’s discuss next time, my schedule is full recently."
After the conversation ended, she intentionally cut off the call and dialed back to Elaine.
"Aunt Hutchinson."
"I’ve invited a few perfumers for dinner tonight, wondering if you have time?"
Nora gazed out the window, seeing her own expression in the semi-transparent glass, eyebrows curved.
She knew Elaine was helping provide resources, perhaps in gratitude for her previous act of donating blood.
She accepted, "I have time, please kindly send me the location and time of the restaurant."
"I’ll send it on your WeChat, see you tonight."
With the call ended, Nora’s dense eyelashes lowered, the brown eyeliner outlining her upward slanting eye corners.
The recent gloom was swept away in this moment.
Approaching evening.
Nora left work half an hour early, avoiding the evening rush hour, and departed VK heading to the dining venue.
Beneath the towering buildings, the traffic flowed and crowds surged.
She grasped the steering wheel with both hands, her beautiful eyes gently narrowed, much like a lazy Persian cat.
By the time she arrived at the restaurant, someone was already there.
"You’re Nora Northwood, right?" The other person greeted her kindly.
Nora searched her memory, realizing she didn’t know this person, but politely extended her hand, "Hello, I’m Nora Northwood."
"The Perfumery Muse in the circle, seeing you today truly confirms it, I’m Shirley, Dir’s Design Director."
Dir is a niche fragrance brand, catering to an audience of quirky, imaginative young people.
